Recent Review: Nothing short of blown away by Mitch’s and Alex’s work ethic, professionalism, and quality workmanship. The final product was incredible. Our house thanks you. In addition to stabilizing our foundation over a period of two full workdays (they worked diligently and respectfully), they placed a new moisture barrier throughout our crawlspace. It looked so good afterward, I joked we were going to rent it out as an apartment! Thanks again guys! Exceptional!

We purchased farm land and didn't realize all of the red tape that would have to take place to get all of the services needed to the lot such as; a tax map number, an address, water, electric, cable, etc. Because we live out of state, our contractor, PAUL, went above and beyond to get all of this preliminary work completed. Paul contacts us often to make sure all of our needs are met in the home, and just to keep us informed with what part of the process is taking place. So far we are very pleased with the whole process. Every inspection has passed the first time with no problems. Paul is very dedicated and hard working, and is very knowleagable in his field. We would definitely hire him again, and would highly recommend him, he has been a blessing to us. I would like to add that each crew he had working on our home was an awesome team that was professional and hard working. The foundation was poured on February 4, 2013 and the first wall went up on the 6th. As of March 22, the drywall has been mudded, and vinyl siding is completed. We should be moving in soon, and feel confident that we will be completely satisfied.

Overall it was a disaster from the beginning...from not meating any of the deadlines, to not meeting all the specs..Had multiple subs that left the job site with their job unfinished and never returned due to personal conflicts with Modern Housing(the General Contractor) Finally a Horton Homes REP had to come and oversee the completeion of the house because of so many delays...I had to close on the house with a LONG punch list still left because of the long time period and the construction loan was about to expire. So I closed on the house and it was supposed to be move in ready....it was very far from it...after Mr. Stukes got his check, he would never return the phone calls to correct the other problems listed on the punch list, I had RAW SEWAGE draining into the crawl space under my new home for weeks before I noticed the horrible odor, Since then , I have discovered that I now live in a MONEY pit. I have had to have lots of things repaired that were not done correctly in the beginning. I still have rott to repair in exterior door jambs that were not properly installed. Have had 2 major roof leaks to be repaired as well....I wouldnt let this company build a dog house for me, much less a 140,000 home to live in. What a HORRIBLE experience.....I hope that I can keep anyone else from going thru this same type of experience.

DON'T HIRE THESE GUYS I found out when I tried to get them to fix their massive mistakes that one was an electrician and the other a cabinet maker. I originally hired them to completely finish my basement that was water damaged from a broken water line. They said they could only work on weekends (no problem for me), they also said the work on million dollar houses. A few days before they came they called and said they needed a cashiers check because they needed the money immediately (that should have been my first clue) I did not have the money in a local account and told them it would be the next Wednesday before I could get the money into my local account for a cashiers check, I had the money in my regular checking account in another state and could write a personal check to them, but they insisted on a cashiers check so I had to borrow money from my mother to get the check. They also said they needed half the so just divide the quote in half. I told them the quote included the material and I was too provide the material so how much did they allow for material, so that I could subtract material out and he did not know so he just came up with a number out of his head and told me to get the check for $6,843. this was all before they even came to my house. I told them I wanted a contract before they started but when they showed up they left the contract in the car and would get it for me latter (this should have been my second clue). Half way thru the day they brought in the contract the was for $13,000 (less than he told me) and I only needed to pay him $6,500 but the check was already made out for $343 more and in his name and could not be changed (of course he took it and said they would subtract the overage from the remaining balance. He then told me they needed the check before they finished on Saturday not Sunday after they finished the first half. They went out for lunch and tried to cash the check but all the banks were closed so they had to wait till Monday anyway. They finished the framing on Sunday morning. When I got home from church later that day and went downstairs there was several things wrong. The bedroom doors were the wrong width (trailer size) and no support over the doors. The 2x4's touched the cinder block wall in several places, a big no no. They put the framing around the heat air ducts in as if they were building a tank. The framing around the 2 support post was only attached on top and when I leaned against them they moved (they first wanted to remove the post completely but I informed them they supported the whole upstairs) They did not put support for the upper kitchen cabinets. They framed over a window as if I was not going to use the window (in a basement with limited outside light). They did not support over the doors for the closets which I told them I was going to use hanging fan fold doors on which weigh is quite a bit more than normal closet doors. They didn't even frame out one of the closets. I told them to just normal frame under my stairs for drywall, and the cabinet maker took several hours making it ready for the shelves and drawers I told them I was going to do myself latter, when I'm ready to do my work I'll have to rip his all out. We had to redo the doors and the duct work framing, redo the window and upper kitchen cabinet braces. redo the water pipe box, redo the post covers. Wow so much more they did wrong. It would take a book to tell you everything. AGAIN DON'T HIRE THESE GUYS.
