Recent Review: Arcbazar offers a very unique service. I was looking for some interior design ideas for a new home. There are many interior designer's that offer consultation services. They provide color options, ideas for furniture etc. Whats cool about arcbazar, however, is that it works based on a competition that you create on their website. Instead of getting one designer providing you one concept, you get multiple submissions from different interior designers. I created a competition to provide interior design ideas for  my family room/kitchen area. I ended up getting 13 different design ideas. What I was impressed with was the quality of some of the submissions. Many of the designers submitted full color 3 dimensional layouts that made it a lot easier to visualize the design. They also provided a list of furniture, paint and accessory options. Overall I was very pleased with the results. Just be aware that you have to be reasonable about your award amount. You cant enter something like $50 and ask for a full interior design of your whole house. When creating your competition the website will give you a suggested award amount. This suggested award is based on the square feet of the area you wish to design. My only gripe with the service was their website. It's a bit rough around the edges and at times their site was very slow. Sometimes it could be frustrating to use. The only reason I didnt give the service all A's.

Reviews in Hilton Head Island to Design an Interior Lighting Plan

AScott Cooke Design
Scott Cooke's design for my 1,700 square foot condo in a retirement community in South Carolina was excellent.. The great room is wonderful — a sophisticated cool grey with a stunning chandelier. Scott found three spectacular mid-century classic cocktail tables and Knoll dining room chairs. On the large walls he used my own photographs from trips to India, Africa and Myanmar. Bright pillows on the sofas mirrored the colors in the photographs and a large Kandinsky print. He found beautiful lamps and a lovely mirror for the wall above the dining room buffet. The furnishings in all the rooms work together with a simple, understated theme. Scott listen carefully to my wishes — but also persuaded me to move out of my comfort zone. The result is beautiful apartment that is both “wow” and comfortable.

ADEEP SOUTH INTERIORS
This last service went well. I have done business with this company and its owner/interiordesigner for nearly 30 years. She is a true professional, knows what I like, does what she says she will do and every project we have collaborated on has turned out beautifully. On a personal level, she is easy to work with, has great taste, is very friendly and has, in fact, become a dear friend. I would not hesitate to recommend her interior design services.

ADietra Nickerson
Dietra is a hard worker - she gets in, goes to it and gets a lot accomplished each day.  I told her what I wanted and she made it happen.  This job was bid on by other subs that kept trying to talk me into something else.  She would let me know when she would arrive and if she was stopping to get supplies, etc.  She always showed up and was very proactive - consulting and troubleshooting any issues with me as she went along.  I worked with many subcontracts in interior design myself for seven years and when it came to hiring someone for my own home, it was extremely frustrating and disappointing - subs who didnt give timely bids, showed up late or not at all.  Dietra takes pride in her work and it shows.  Working with her was a great experience, and I highly recommend Dietra and would hire her again for any renovation work I may have in the future.

AClif Taylor Electric
One thing that I really liked was that so many of my friends knew this guy and his family, they have been in business here with the same phone number since 1972. He's got a state builders license and is bonded, whatever that means. He was so nice and took his time to explain everything to me and he was very patient with my ignorance. It was very important that he and his men cleaned up real well at the end of the job. He even trimmed up some of my bushes that were hanging over my walkways. When they were finished they hauled all the trash off with them, That was very helpful.

APro Renovations Ltd Co
I cannot thank Pro Renovations enough for everything that they have helped me with!!! I spent months and months trying to configure a floor plan that I thought would work for me. No matter which way I put it, I just couldn't get this exactly right - either the appliances in my kitchen weren't making sense or my?living room space just wasn't functional. Eventually I came to the point where I just knew I needed help and couldn't do this alone. That was when I called Simon. We started with the floor plan and we covered just about everything from architectural drawings, framing, structural manipulations, sketches, schematics and building plans. Once we completed those steps and permits were pulled, we talked about a little interior design, painting, new trim work, cabinetry in the kitchen area, color schemes, plumbing lines being moved, water heaters, attic space, installing footers beneath our poorly structured home (before Pro Renovations made the required adjustments to bring it to code.) Everyone showed up every day, on time and protected every piece of my furniture. I had no problem trusting everyone in this company with a key to my home and knowing everything would be taken care of?with the utmost respect.? I loved the fact that I could go to work everyday and carry on knowing I was doing what I needed to do while everything else was being taken care of at home as well. There is no way I would have been able to do all of this work by myself, how I thought I could complete this as a simple "DIY Project" I have no idea. Being as I had an older home we also came into many other issues with the structure of our home. How this home passed inspections from the original builder - I will never know, but I have no doubt now that my house will ever have any structural issues and that everything has been brought to code and has been safely corrected. I am thrilled with all of our updates and all of the work completed and love every updated part of this house. Since this project I have already called Pro Renovations for several other projects ( for work use and exterior work to my home included) and i will continue to use this company for years to come on any and all of my projects! I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy and respectable General Contracting company within the area.

ARNR Home Improvements LLC
First statement of fact, my wife and I will NEVER use a different contractor again.  Mr. Greer (owner) and his team are professional, very cost reasonable, and the attention to detail and craftsmanship was superb. Rickey Greer made it EASY.  First, he is straight forward and honest.  I sincerely appreciated his candor and for telling me what I needed to hear versus what I thought I might want to hear.  Like his unwillingness to sacrifice craftsmanship for cost, when asked about using shower doors or shower heads from big retail outlets, he would provide meaningful and detailed explanations as to why it was important to use quality over the price.  As an example, you can go to a big box retailer and buy, what appears to be, the very same high-end brand-name faucet or shower door that you find at store that specializes in the same.  He explained that though they might look the same, the internal parts are very different; plastics and cheap metals vs. brass or copper.  He advised the cheaper items would lead to rusting and lower performance.  We checked it out and he was spot on! I appreciated that Rickey was involved from beginning to end.  He personally quoted and itemized all of the work.  Told us exactly how much and how long it would take.  Then, he inspected what he expected. He visited our job site nearly every day and communicated with us through out the entire project. On a couple of occasions, he would identify minute flaws and have the team address the issue immediately.  Frankly, he could have let it slide and we would have never known. Another aspect of Mr. Greer that we truly appreciated was his knowledge and willingness to provide advise on color schemes and current interior design ideas.  Our house was built in the early 90's and frankly, my wife and I were novices.  Rickey's experience and suggestions proved to be exceptional. He employs over 30+ skilled workers and has access to very experienced plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.  These guys were fantastic and efficient.  In summary, we are very pleased with the final product.  My wife and I constantly find ourselves staring at the bathroom and the kitchen/den in amazement!  We keep asking ourselves if this is really ours.  So, if you want first class work done to your house for a very reasonable price, then call RNR.  On a more personal note and by copy to Rickey, THANK YOU for making us proud of our house once again. We look forward to working with you again in the near future. Regards, John and Brenda
