The gate into the backyard was repaired that hadn't worked properly in years! Others had tried and failed, yet Steve had an ingenious idea, and came through with flying colors. It works like a charm now. A LONG ignored roof leak caused extensive damage to sheetrock. So much in fact, that a large hole was created. He replaced a significant chunk, and it amazingly looks like nothing ever happened. A sizable strip of popcorn ceiling was literally hanging on by a thread and constantly having pieces falling to the ground. Steve was very creative in mending that task. I am unable to describe the process. Just know it turned out fabulous. Response time was fast, he did exactly as was promised, AND was on time! How often does that happen? He thoroughly cleaned every work area - even after I insisted he could stop. How refreshing to have someone who is both professional and personable. I would highly recommend New Creation Construction LLC without hesitation.

We loved the whole crew so much we bought them lunch daily and ate with them. We had to make them stop to eat. From the start of various updating throughout my home, he not only saved me money, but had three answers for every problem. They did electric solving problems in my den, and added additional switches. Put my electric outlets on my deck. Put a cedar divider beam up on my ceiling to divide popcorn ceiling from flat ceiling. Matching up the grain to my flooring! Added a bi-fold to my closet. Placed a 220 in my extra room for a tanning bed, and carried it up. Fixed various places with carpet problems. Added a vinyl flooring to a step from my kitchen to den. It was a real problem.

The work was done well at a good price. He was very up front about the fact that the popcorn ceiling on the patch would not match our old popcorn. He was right -- the popcorn doesn't match, but that's fine, we expected it because he was honest and clear about it before he began the job. The primary problem for us was getting him to come to do the work. The job only required three short visits, and could have been done in three days or less; but it lasted a month. He was very apologetic about the delays, but the fact remained that our living room was a mess for weeks. And unlike with the popcorn, we didn't know to expect this. He gave us no indication before starting the work that it would last a month -- to the contrary, he made it seem like a quick job. In the end, he was so apologetic about the delays that he offered to do some extra work for us for free. When he finished the popcorn, he promised he would come by the next day to fix a small problem on our roof, for no charge. Keeping that promise would have gone a long way. But that was the last we heard of him. He didn't show up the next day, or the next month, and we never heard from him again.

Work list was reviewed on-site. Estimate arrived on the day promised. Work was scheduled. Mike arrived as promised. Worked efficiently and did an excellent job. Each project he finished was our new favorite. He did an excellent job on all projects. Mike even came out before the major work was scheduled to hang our prints to accommodate a special request from us. Furniture was covered and protected where necessary. Mike cleaned up after each project and left our home as he found it except vastly improved by his work. Mike is professional, pleasant and courteous. When the need arises I will most definitely be calling him again.

Provider was to paint ceiling. I told the provider over the phone the size of the area and that the ceiling had popcorn ceiling and beams. I wanted to know if they felt they could finish the job in the 6 hours of work I purchased. Over the phone, they seemed to think it was no problem to finish. When the workmen arrived, they agreed that it would be no problem to finish. I asked for advice on painting or leaving the wood beams as is, and they advised lightly sanding and then painting them, which they said they could also do in the time frame. They did not sand the beams but just painted right over the stain and varnish. Also, they only finished about 1/3 of the job even with my purchase of an additional hour. I would have paid to have them finish that day, but they had another job to do. The second worker wasted most of the last hour I paid for outside - either smoking or maybe cleaning up, I don't know. They offered to come back in a few days to finish, but I couldn't put more money into the project so I am finishing it myself. They were pleasant but did not do a good job estimating the amount of time needed for this job, which was disappointing. Also having the beams painted but not sanded is a problem.

Randy and his partner, Donna, did a wonderful job. I could not believe how dirty and greasy the ceiling and kitchen cabinets were. The former owner did not have the fan vented properly to the outside; and, therefore all of the grease settled on the kitchen ceiling above the stove, and on the kitchen cabinets. They arrived on time, and clarified what the job request was before beginning. Explained what they were doing and why; plus the expected results. They were very neat as they worked. Kitchen cabinets were covered to protect them from the ceiling paint. After the project was completed the kitchen floor was even vacuumed. The ceiling looked wonderful and lightened the kitchen a lot. the kitchen cabinets looked beautiful and the real shine of the wood showed. I was able to unpack the dishes, etc., and know everything was clean.

We hired David based on Angie's List reviews to replace the ceiling in our laundry room, which had sustained damage from a leaky bathtub that required multiple plumber visits over several months to fix. The ceiling was a mess with moldy bubbled spots and holes from the last plumber visit. David took three days to remove the old ceiling, install the new drywall, tape the seams, and mud the edges. He explained to me on the phone initially that it would take three visits to do the job right, allowing the mud to dry sufficiently between layers, rather than rushing the job and ending up with cracks. David did a great job and took obvious pride in his work, and my husband was impressed with the quality of the repair. We repainted the ceiling and touched up the walls ourselves afterward, and the room looks great! You can't tell the ceiling was damaged or repaired. David was prompt, responsive, showed up on time, and we felt comfortable leaving him to lock up when we went off to work. David also cleaned up well behind himself, and drywall repair is a very dusty, messy job! With previous repair people, we've spent days cleaning up the mess they left behine, so this was a nice change.
