Recent Review: Kitchen remodeling MSC Construction replaced our kitchen countertop, backsplash, and flooring this spring.  The bid was very detailed and priced by task and material.  We received professional advice concerning the granite countertop and brushed nickel sink and the installer removed and replaced that in less than two hours.  The flooring process revealed some subfloor water damage that MSC repaired, the floor tile team leveled the floor and did what has proven to be a perfect installation.  Mr. Connolly did not think replacing the previous baseboard looked like he thought it should, so he replaced it with new material at no additional cost.  The cleanup each night was beyond our expectations, and the final job was totally satisfactory.  I give MSC Construction my highest recommendation. Bath remodeling MSC Construction renovated our three bathrooms last year.  In the master bath, they removed the tub and installed a tiled walk-in shower, tile flooring, and granite vanity.  They gave professional advice concerning showerhead and controls as well as faucets for the sink.  In the second bath they removed the tub and installed a Jacuzzi, tile flooring, and granite vanity, which has become a very special unwinding room at the end of a busy week.  The third bath they removed a 36? shower stall, enlarged the opening, and installed a 60? walk-in shower, matching the showerhead, controls, and vanity in the other baths.  The daily cleanup topped anything I had ever seen, and we have had zero issues of any kind. I give MSC Construction an A+ for this project.

Recent Review: Two structural walls removed, full gut of kitchen, new custom built cabinets, new hardwood floors throughout, fireplace update, paint entire first floor, install all new appliances, lighting. Vaskos committed to a project timeline of 6 weeks from start to finish and delivered in 5. Their onsite team, Barry and Vic, are super professional, I cant say enough about their commitment to quality and dedication to doing the job right. There were hiccups during the project that could of delayed it but they always figured out a solution and kept things moving. The office support team, Britne and Patty, did a great job making sure project supplies were onsite when needed ensuring the project timeline was on schedule. We bid this project out with other general contractors who came in significantly higher and who used all sub-contractors. Vaskos was more affordable than those other contractors and did much of the work with their own staff reduce to reduce the need for subs and control the quality. My wife and I highly recommend Vaskos Quality Builders for your home project.

All the subs provided quality workmanship and if they didn't it was handled and corrected quickly. Recent Review: Other than some delays and a hiccup with the counter installation, it went relatively smoothly.  The remodeled kitchen look very much  like the design we had in mind and is surprisingly bright and spacious.  In this project we tore out a 50+ year old kitchen (knotty pine walls & cabinets, worn-out formica, ancient appliances).   We wanted a larger window for more light & to rearrange the counter layout.  We had planned this for several years and had done a lot of homework on cabinetry, appliances, tiling choices, etc., which paid off in spades: we know what we wanted done at nearly every step along the way.  The only exception was the replacement window; after roughing out the larger opening, the replacement (vinyl) window Mike came up with had no more glass than the original - the difference in size was all absorbed by the oversized framing.  We did more research and found a better window from a different vendor for not much extra money that suited our needs.  This did cause a delay in the progress - can't finish interior trim with only a temporary window.  Mike's crews were, for the most part, professional, efficient, and hard working - the plumber stayed until nearly midnight one night to finish his part so that the sheet rockers could do their thing the next day.  There were a few glitches - some outlets & light switches were not hooked up correctly the first time (easily fixed), a few cabinet doors were dinged and needed to be reordered (more delays), the main countertop slab was scratched & needed to be replaced (took some convincing but the installer's attempt to "buff it out" only made it worse; more delays) - but eventually everything fell into place.

The work started in the beginning of March. Mr. Haendle started well. He was on the job every day. With the exception of foul language, the four letter word was used frequently, we were overall satisfied with his performance. He hired people who he fired shortly after which made us wonder. The problem started when he hired a recovering alcoholic who not only stole a play station from our son (worth $65) but also went to our garage on a regular basis to consume beer which we had stored there. His slurry speech became obvious and we informed Mr. Haendle about this situation. Subsequently Mr. Haendle fired him. Another incidence occurred when the wooden boards on our front porch were removed in front of our bathroom door. As I do on a regular basis, I stepped outside to make sure that things were in order before going to bed and fell 5 1/2 feet into a hole. Mr. Haendle had not secured the site. According to my wife I was unconscious for about five minutes. To make a long story short I had a broken rib, bruised others, and a severe cut in the foot which required seven stitches. One arm was bruised and blue for weeks. For about seven weeks I was bound to a chair, unable to perform any work. The problem continued when he blamed a supplier about wrong doing which I knew was not true. After I made it very clear that he should blame himself he flipped. He called me a "godless f***'n son of a b****" and left the job. After he apologized the following day my hope was to get thru this without another incidence but this was not the case. The second incident occurred when he demanded a certain amount of money which in my opinion was beyond what I considered justifiable based on work rendered. Again, he flipped, cussing on the way out. Again he returned telling me that his girlfriend told him to apologize. He returned, but his presence in the job became irregular. Promises after promises were broken. Deadlines were ignored. He now demanded to be paid for services which according to our contract should have been included. Before leaving for vacation he again indicated to finish the work in my absence but under the supervision of my wife. Some of the work which he promised was done, others were not. Upon my return, I wrote an e-mail to him demanding completion of the work in a timely manner. I listed all of the outstanding work which we had agreed in the contract. If not I would consult with an attorney. His response was that the content of my correspondence was a joke. Fortunately, I had kept a $500 retainer which isn't quite enough for the outstanding work but we can live with it. Also, to fight in court of the outstanding items would cost us more than taking care of the outstanding things ourselves. In conclusion, I would like to state that Mr. Haendle is a very unethical person with a very severe temper problem. He has lied to us many times. Once I asked him how much he pays his helpers, I considered hiring one of them for the garden (mowing, edging, weed eating, etc.) he gave me a number which upon talking to them turned out to be significantly lower than what he had stated. I would advise anyone to stay away from this man. If you need services which can be completed in a relatively short time he might be a good alternative to others, but if your work requires an extended time I would advise anyone to look for another company.

From the beginning, the guys were great. They came in with an itemized bid as we originally had a lot of projects we wanted them to do. In the end, we chose a few and they went right to work. They built the island exactly as we envisioned it and added a lot of little design touches we didn't think of, including a built-in wine rack. The finished product is gorgeous. We plan to have them come back and do another job or two for us this summer, if we can fit into their schedule, as we have a lot of other remodeling we want to do around our house.
