Recent Review: The painting was okay. The other things weren't very good. The tile work were fine. They used the wrong material to seal the plumbing fixtures-used grouting material instead of gel substance. The landscaping was fine.

Recent Review: We are so happy with the work that Mike has done on our house.  We purchased a fixer-up house as a 2nd/vacation home approximately 3 years ago and Mike has basically done all the rehab work for us.  The first job that he did for us was to completely gut and install two new bathrooms.  He put new sheetrock walls, tile floors, installed fixtures, electrical, plumbing, etc.  He also made sure everything was up to code.  My two new bathrooms are beautiful!  He then installed all new interior doors, exterior doors and new windows.   Again,  I love everything.  He has opened walls,  increased door sizes for us.  His last job was to install a new roof.  Looks great,  all the neighbors commented on how nice it looks.  He is currently working on our Kitchen remodel and he will be installing all new tile & laminate flooring in the kitchen, living areas and bedrooms.  He is very trustworthy, comes when he says he will be there, is flexible to work around our schedule.  He has completed every job to our satisfaction.  We have come to trust Mike so much that he has a key to our home so that he can do renovations on our home when we are not here.  HIs prices are very reasonable.

Recent Review: While trying to diagnose a heater problem in the attic of my 6 year old home, the technician noticed my hot water heater (HWH) drain pan was full of water.  I immediately called several highly rated (on Angie's list), talked to neighbors, and checked other sources for a good plumber.  Dave Hewitt rearranged his schedule and responded almost immediately, a full two days before anyone else would come out.  Since my 50 gallon HWH was installed in the attic of my home, this was a very important matter to me and my family.  Owner Dave Hewitt responded exactly as promised, was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and impressed me with his advice and assessment to the point where I felt comfortable enough to enlist his services right then and there.  Having made a career of relying on my ability to judge people and their characters, I felt that Dave was not only honest, but was also giving me a fair deal on a very good product.  This has not always been the case with tradesmen I have used in the past! Dave rearranged his schedule and came out the following day with two other technicians and all of the tools and equipment needed to do the job.  Working in two locations in the house, the three men removed my old HWH from my attic (no small feat itself) and installed the new tankless system and the whole house water purifier at the same time.  The decision to go with a purifier was based on the fact that I have never lived in an area where a brand new A.O. Smith HWH would rust through in only six years.  I knew the Myrtle Beach water had chemicals and lime, and left discolorations in the shower and tub, but I had no idea how bad the water actually is (this bit of information was later confirmed by researching EPA published reports).  I was also impressed that the new (current) purification systems are much better than the salt based systems I have had in the past, and a whole lot easier to maintain! Dave, Kevin and William worked for about 4.5 hours to get my house back in top notch condition, replacing the HWH with a new energy efficient tankless system and greatly improved the quality of the water throughout the entire system.  I have no doubt that had I not gone with the filtration system, gaskets and seals in my plumbing fixtures, toilets, and refrigerator ice maker would be close behind the HWH in prematurely wearing out.  In fact, I have gone around the house and cleaned out the faucet screens on all of my sinks and shower heads, surprised at the build up present. Dave and his team were fantastic, rearranging other commitments to get my problems resolved and helping me avoid what could have been a catastrophe had my old HWH burst.  They were neat, clean, professional, considerate, and I believe very reasonable in their prices.  They responded quickly and treated my problem as a potential emergency situation, for which I am deeply thankful.   I am extremely satisfied with the service and products I received, and will NOT hesitate in recommending 911 Plumbing to friends, neighbors, or anyone else in the need of a great plumber.  I truly feel that while I may have problems in my house in the future, and I will have to deal with questionable contractors, plumbing problems WILL NOT be among them.

Unfortunately, plumber had to return twice. The first time his assistant hooked up the hot and cold taps backwards in one sink. Then we had the neighbor below us complain about a leak from one bathtub which almost ruined their ceiling and the plumber had to return to repair the leak. In both cases, he responded promptly and fixed the problem. He was very apologetic and accepted responsibility for the work. He was a nice guy, but we expected the work to be done well the first time!!
