Recent Review: excellent! Love my tub. Bought one from their Chapin store and it was delivered and installed in just a couple of days. They also came out and took care of some issues with my pool and test my water when I bring it to them. Purchased a dolphin pool cleaner there and it's a lifesaver. Worth every penny!

Recent Review: Shawn is a professional businessman with a heart of gold.  I would recommend him OVER ANY SPA REPAIR SERVICE in the Columbia area!  He is honest, understanding and prompt!  This is service that is hard to find in these days and times (especially, and I hate to admit this fact, with a single woman who knows nothing about mechanical devices!).  He could have taken advantage of me ( as many "service oriented businesses will do in a heartbeat), but he did not!  A true test of honesty in my book!

Recent Review: Mr. Dial came out after Action Hot Tub repair neglected to return to fix our broken pump and generally left a bad impression with the work they had done. Rather than suggesting we install a new one, Mr. Dial recommended we have our existing pump re-built for less money. He said the company that re-builds the pumps warranties their work and that it would be just as good as new. He did not charge a service fee to troubleshoot the problem, and he removed our exiting pump the same day and had it repaird, installed, and working properly within a week. Not only that, but he offered affordable solutions for our spa up-keep, and he showed me how to use and maintain it. He was punctual, professional, quick to address our issues, and extremely polite and helpful. The spa is working great, and we've so far really enjoyed it. I only wish I had called Mr. Dial first to install our control panel and box. I would highly recommend him.

The company representatives and technicians were prompt quick and did everything they promised plus made sure everything was working properly and that I understood how to work this new-to-me spa. I will be using them for additional work on the tile surrounding the spa.

DAll Spas Repair & Service Co
I contacted All Spas because our recently purchased home had a hot tub that was serviced by him prior to the sale. We agreed to purchase the hot tub with the home and when inspected it needed service. Mr. Dial had the pump repaired for the previous owners before we took ownership. There was a one year warranty on the pump by the electrical service Mr. Dial had taken the pump to. When we called All Spas about the problem, he came out on a Monday and pulled the pump. The impeller had failed. A new part needed to be ordered to fix the pump. Coincidentally, the breaker failed the same day he came out to work on the pump, so I ran to the hardware store to get another breaker. When I returned he was gone and left a note under the pump on the back steps stating he had to order a part. He left the side panel of the spa detached exposing the back of the stereo and speakers to the rain. I moved all of this back when I returned, but the hot tub was also slowly leaking water into the inside of the hot tub, where the pump used to be. I managed to connect some PVC pipe to divert the remaining 500 gallons of water from draining onto the bottom wood baseboard, and called to get a status. He said he would order the part 2nd day delivery and he would come out in the morning after receiving it to install, also he mentioned that while looking in the control panel he noticed that the heater connections were welded and that he did not think the heat coil would last much longer, so I agreed to have him replace the heat coil as well. I called him back on Thursday to get a status after he did not show up as expected that morning. He said the parts should arrive that day and he would be out to finish the repair Friday morning. I had to be at work and could not stay there until he arrived, but our hot tub is outside, and he said that he would call when he was on the way over. He asked that I leave him a check and I did. I came home around lunch time and found that he had already come by and had taken the check and left. He put the pump back in and replaced the heat coil, but left the side panel detached and exposed again. I turned on the breaker and immediately saw a service required code pop up. It indicated a sensor error. I called him and asked why he had not put the side panel back on, and told him about the error code. He stammered and stuttered and never actually gave me an answer. He asked if I had water in it and said that it would not work without water in it. I told him that I had drained and refilled the hot tub before and it never had that error code. I asked if he would come back that day to look at it if the code was still there after I filled it. He said no, he had to leave for Charleston in fifteen minutes. I hung up. I filled the hot tub and the error code never went away. Finally being a DIY guy and only having called him in the first place because of the warranty on the pump, I took a closer look and found that A) He broke a small corner piece off of the side panel and the panel was impossible to move into the correct position to reattach because the drain hose would not move over enough. B) He put the pump in on top of the drain hose. C) He did not refasten the pump to the baseboard(probably because it was lying on top of the drain hose and was not flush with the baseboard. D) The reason for the sensor code errors was because he bent the sensor connection pins on the control board when he removed and replaced the heater element below it. I was fortunate to be able to fix all of theses issues myself, but am very dissatisfied with the obvious rush job that was performed. It would seem to me that a professional would at the very least make sure that everything was working before they left and would reassemble the hot tub after the repairs were completed.

FGriffin Pools and Spas
9-18-14 Griffin Pools came to our home and agreed to install a swimming pool. I had researched this business to make sure they were licensed & bonded with no judgments against them. I ask the salesman Rick Potter if background checks were made & he said yes. No one with a conviction would be allowed on our property. We agreed & Griffin started the process. The salesman told me and wrote on our contract to call "Bobby" Caughman  (James Robert Caughman)  of Lexington SC and he would come out to look at the job to do the finish work. Also another Griffin worker Brian, pool installer supervisor, told me to call "Bobby". After now being endorsed by two Griffin Pool representatives, this led me to believe that "Bobby" was a preferred contractor of Griffin Pools. I called "Bobby" and he came out and gathered the requirements, made recommendations and a high-level cost.  Asked again about his relationship with Griffin Pools, he stated that they use him ALL the time to complete their work so that they can focus on installing pools, their main area of expertise.  I told him to go ahead and do the work. Bobby requested a $5000 deposit of 13,700 job, which we gave to him. Block arrived at our house a few days later and work started as Griffin dug our pool. When the Griffin portion of the concrete was poured on Tue, Bobby came by and said the rest of the concrete would be poured on that Friday, but.........he needed more money. We gave him another $3775. No concrete came on that Friday, 10-24-14, nor any day after that. The wall wasn't finished. The proper foundation wasn't placed, no drain, wrong type of stone, improper sealant, and stones not overlapped. Four contractors have told us the wall is unsafe, unrepairable and had to be removed. A constructional engineer told us that all of the above and it was devaluing to our home as well. Bobby walked away from this job, no further work and $8775 of our money that we are making monthly payments on.  Bobby then sent us an "updated" bogus bill of the $9000 dollars of work that he had done( which was totally made up charges). I have contacted Griffin pools many times and they claim no responsibility. We learned that Bobby has a criminal record and someone that we would have never been allowed on our property. Now Griffin Pool manager Rob Bowers states that they have no affiliation with Bobby Caughman and would not do anything to help us. I have two forms of documentation to prove that Griffin pool asked us to call this man to do the required finish work. One on the estimate of pool installation costs and the other an email from the salesman Rick Potter. I would gladly produce copies of either document. Customers beware! I spent over 35,000.00 dollars with Griffin Pools and now they claim no responsibility. I have a huge mess in my back yard, thousands of dollars to repair it, torn up irrigation system, engineering fees and $8775 our of our pocket.
