Recent Review: David designed and built a custom cabinet that looks like a piece of furniture. The cabinet has upscale carved areas and feet. He talked with me and designed the elements of the bath. The granite is black with iridescent pops of color. The custom millgrain work on the rounded sides of the cabinet is elegant and shows not only the quality of work but the attention to details most would not take extra time for. The floors are tile but look like a pickled plank floor. David's training and choice to use Ditra by Sluter products under the tile assures no problems with water damaged tiles down the road. Every element such as the faucet and toilet paper holder have been picked out and installed with an eye on the architectural detail of the faucet and the heavy duty but easy to change toilet paper holder. The cabinet is highlighted by a large beveled mirror framed in black. The cabinet, walls and door are cream with a pale lavender crown molding that makes the granite pop! The hardware is top of the line brushed silver chrome. David is more than worth the wait as the quality of his work has him booked in advance. Have patience and know your remodel will look better than the pictures in magazines. We look forward to the remodel of our master bath in a few weeks. Thanks Angie. We plan on having a long relationship with David.

Recent Review: The final work is almost perfect. Couple small things in bathroom that I finished up. Negative was had to argue about a few things getting done right, which they did after I confronted David about it, took an absolute fight at times. Sent guys with no shop vac the first day to clean up mess so they used mine and I had to fight to get my vac replaced. My price went up by $800 that first day. AC trunk got crunched to halfway and as there was no pre or post inspection I had to argue about him taking responsibility, after 3 months of high power bills. it was fixed yesterday but I have to get under there and check it to make sure it was done right. And under my house is full of trash and debris that wasn’t removed when they were done. The work itself was completed over about 2 months. It’s a small bathroom and the only one in the house. But ithe bathroom is gorgeous and the floors are solid.

Recent Review: We contracted with David for a lump sum amount negotiated on the basis of detailed cost estimates and sub bids. He demonstrated the ability to work within the budget and maintain accurate accounting. Owner directed changes or increases (and decreases) in scope were negotiated fairly and reasonably, and stayed within our budget contingency amount. The quality of David's work is outstanding. He is skilled in general construction of all types and also in electrical work. We were especially pleased with his attention to detail and getting things right. He selected and managed qualified electrical, mechanical and plumbing subcontractors on the project. He monitored their work closely and worked well with them to ensure a high level of quality. We dealt only with him and he managed the subs. Although it did not affect our project outcome, the only recommendation we have is that David expand his project management documentation system for greater detail. While he kept a good weekly record of work and costs, a more detailed summary of total work and costs, showing exact levels of completion, would have saved us some administrative time. Throughout the course of the project, David routinely focused on making sure we were satisfied. He is skilled, capable and honest and we highly recommend him.
Recent Review: The process went well! The owner of the business prides himself in making your vision come to life. Very professional company. I am pleased with my new look and look forward to the next phase of remodeling my home with this company!

Andrew and his crew were excellent, they showed up on time and were here when they said they would be. Everyone was very professional and courteous, they cleaned up every evening before leaving. Andrew had several ideas that were excellent to help me get the look I wanted and to still stay on budget. I would hire them again without a hesitation, and I recommend him whenever possible. I think ABW Construction is the best contractor in this area.

They have done an outstanding job. They are terrific. We have been very pleased with them. They have excellent craftsmanship. They are very honest. They aren't the least or most expensive, but the quality is superb. The carpentry, finishing work, and detail work are excellent. We found them through a friend of ours. We talked about what we were interested in doing, and we developed a plan with them. They have been working on the job for about six weeks. The work is everything we wanted it to be and more. We have worked with a lot of contractors, and this outfit is by far one of the best. It is John's business. He is a carpenter and general contractor. He has a number of excellent subcontractors.

You could not ask for better contractors. I was faced with taking my grandmother's home which I had inherited from 1950 to 2010 and was not available to oversee the project. C&M kept me informed through almost daily pictures. They were truly unbelievable! I could not have done it without them. I had invited out of town family for Christmas and was faced with having to have the renovations completed without being on site. They completed the work in a timely manner and very professional. The work was high quaility and we were completely satisfied.

The Master Bedroom project permit was pulled on November 11 and Mom moved in on January 20th. This work included gutting old living room, new foundation for bathroom, closet and front porch. Precision Carpentry allowed us to pick out all the fixtures and major components. The quality was above what I expected, timing met our schedule and cost was right on target.

It went well, it was time consuming because he had to measure the cabinets and cut into the wall so they can be center directly above the the faucets.  Shawn explain in detail excatly what he had to do and what obstacles that could be in the way.

Excellent. Professional. Work completed quickly and all to code. Stands behind his work and the other contractors he recommends. Honestly and integrity come to mind when I think of Andrew.

Demolition was done quickly and mess was kept to a minimum. The crew doing reconstruction was great. Electricians were awful. we have been repairing their original work repeatedly with a different electrician. The remodel was on schedule but as things usually go they started to slow as we got to the small details. As the problems with the electrical increased we contacted Bradley several times but would get no response. Finally several weeks later their office manager was great and found an electrician that did an awesome job. We had never had the inspection done after the work was completed and it was finally done the third. Had to hire a handyman to put up towel racks and toilet paper holder to finish out the job. Not sure I would use them again.

ADreamMaker Bath & Kitchen
DreamMakers was phenomenal to work with! From the start of the project they were creative and gave great ideas regarding our addition and remodel. They were the only builders we got estimates from to recommend a downstairs master. Other builders just went with our idea but didn't make recommendations of something that could be better. DreamMakers provided ideas in our kitchen that would make significant changes without significant costs. They advised us on ways to maximize the budget we had available. Once the project began, they were great to work with! The design team gave great ideas and was again creative about how to maximize the budget while still providing the look we hoped for. The designer also made suggestions we hadn't thought about and that really look amazing now. Guess that's her job but we were not accustomed to working with a designer and really love her ideas that we implemented. She saved us lots of time by providing samples and suggestions from many different vendors. That took a lot of the uncertainty and anxiety away since we didn't have to spend so much energy and time in searching for all the items we would use. Finally the work began and the crews on-site were again great to work with! They worked around us being in the home and there was minimal disturbance. A little was expected but they went out of their way to make the home as livable as possible for us while the work was being done. The responsiveness of the project manager on-site was better than expected anytime we had questions...he really went above and beyond! All the workers on-site were friendly and I felt very comfortable having them in my home, even with young children around. The crews were efficient and we could always see a lot of progress being made. And they cleaned each day minimizing the mess in the rest of our home. Now that the work is complete, we still comment to ourselves what a wonderful job DreamMakers did. They were efficient, flexible, creative, and did great, quality work. We have sometimes heard stories about additions or remodel work that didn't go as planned or was unsatisfactory once completed and then the contractor would not return to correct. We did not experience anything like that with DreamMakers! We loved working with them and the work they did was incredible! We are very happy with everything!

We were extremely pleased with Charlie and his highly professional team at Precision Carpentry & Plumbing LLC, who did the most wonderful job creating a superb In-Law suite and converting other home space into a beautiful master bathroom and bedroom. We had purchased new construction which had the potential to give my wife and I a downstairs Inlaw suite adjacent the primary house, which our daughter and son-in-law's family would live in, and to and also turn an unfinished space upstairs into a huge second master suite with bedroom and bathroom. The potential was there, but finding the right company to help us was paramount to making this project successful. We talked to several, but selected Precision Carpentry & Plumbing from Angie's List, because we could tell they were experienced, and wouldn't cut corners, and had reasonable prices (they did not disappoint). While all the other companies would give us a extremely brief description of what they would do (or simply give us a single price quote), Charlie and his associate Joedy spent the time up front (at their own expense) to provide us a detailed breakdown of all aspects of the job, including all individual costs, in an Excel spreadsheet. That gave us the ability to tweak the work, deciding where we could save money with other alternatives. We could also pick our own materials, or buy them ourselves. They started by covering all the lower level hardwood flooring and stairway with Ram Board protective sheeting, so nothing would get damaged. They also added it later as they put in new flooring. They cleaned up after themselves each day, and never left a mess anywhere. We didn't even need a dumpster, because they would take away debris regularly. Downstairs, they took down a wall between a front room "library" and a huge walk in closet, adding a header beam for support, and turned that closet into a fully functional Kitchen, with all the normal full sized appliances. That included tapping into the adjacent bathroom plumbing and removing some concrete (from the slab foundation) to add provide a sink, dishwasher and disposal in our new Kitchen (the house now has two full kitchens). They wired all the electrical, adding a separate breaker box, which had to tie into the original, and re-directed all the HVAC ductwork. They did the complete job, including framing, sheetrock (and finishing) custom cabinetry, replacing the flooring, adding the granite counter and backsplash and topped it off with adding crown molding to both the new living room and kitchen. They even replaced a window in the master bedroom with a sliding door (which we purchased ourselves), and sectioned off the area from the main house (going into the original master bedroom), turning an entrance way into the bedroom, into a small closet. Finally they added a door between the existing hallway, and the garage, which happened to have a third car port, and provided us with our own entrance, all on the same lower level. Upstairs there was an unfinished space in the attic area that was supposedly for a 6th bedroom, but had ductwork running throughout the space. Adjacent to that was a small finished bedroom. Charlie's team converted that bedroom into a master bathroom, and finished off the bedroom, beefing up the floor joists and adding the proper ceiling joists, and refinished the ceiling beneath where they were working (our In-law living room), where any nails may have popped. They found an elegant way to tie into the existing house plumbing in order to add a shower, dual sink vanity and a toilet (room). They laid the tile we purchased ourselves and created a walk-in closet to our specifications, and of course handled all the electrical and HVAC requirements (after verifying our system could handle the new space). All in all we were extremely pleased. Not only did Charlie stand behind all his work, he took care of all the permits and had everything inspected multiple times. We received weekly updates to the spreadsheet, showing what was worked on, and only paid for what was done each week. Their workmanship was supreme, and their carpentry work, including the detailed finishes is second to none. We are so pleased, as we now have a beautiful multi-generational home, where our family can live together in harmony, but also with our individual space. Thank you Charlie!
