Recent Review: Without the $300 deduction, it was $800.  He took time to go ahead and explain to me. These are for shower doors and an in-shower stall, and he took time to tell me about the different shower doors and how they were locked so that I could make it a selection for what I wanted. He was very good.

Recent Review: David was a pleasure to work with.  He was the only contractor who gave us an estimate according to what we wanted to do (We'd buy the materials.  All we wanted was an estimate for the labor and any other materials that might be needed.).  We scheduled a start date once we had a delivery date, but this date had to be delayed due to snow at the end of January.  David and his wife, Dee communicated well with us continually to make sure we knew the exact date David would start.  David showed up on the first day on time and got right to work.  Demo and  installation of the new bathroom, which included shower base and surround, shower door, tile floor, toilet, and light/fan fixture, was done professionally and efficiently, with cleanup occurring throughout the job to ensure none of the construction dust got into the rest of the house..  Throughout the project, David made some great suggestions on how to finish certain items and incorporated them into the project upon our approval.  David's price was extremely fair and his work is impeccable!  We highly recommend David for any project.  We are definitely going to contract with him again for other projects we have in store!

Recent Review: Job went well though taking longer than expected but that was tied to getting measurements for the new shower door after the tile work was completed and then delivery of the door. People were here when they said they would be, did what they said they would do at the price quoted. Call backs answered promptly without question.

Recent Review: The amount listed above was for labor only. We bought the tile separately. The job price was fair. Vince & his brother were pleasant. The tile looks great. The mud work around the edge of the shower ( necessary from pulling out the shower) was not great. The box containing the brand new shower fixture was on the bedroom floor next to the new shower door. Because I did not specifically tell Vince to install the new shower fixture, he reinstalled the old one. I'll take the blame for not micromanaging the project. My husband called Vince with questions about changing out the fixture. He also asked Vince where the bolt caps for the toilet were. Vince said he would drop them off. We never heard from him again. After a few days, we discovered that the shower door & base were not installed properly and there was a leak. My husband had to fix that. I should also mention that Vince requested partial payments throughout the job. I have learned through this and yet another experience NEVER to pay a penny up front, except for supplies, until the job is completed to my satisfaction.

Recent Review: 19/Total tear out of an old tub and installed  a new 5 foot shower stall.  Quality shower door and faux marble wall surrounds.  Also included a new shower valve, diverter, and trim.  Additionally, they had to re-position all light and fan switches.  Furthermore, there was the need for a custom design of the shower door frame to incorporate/avoid an existing window that was partially inside the shower.  All involved were exceptionally professional, from the owner of the company, their sales rep, and the guys that did the work.  Totally professional and left the bath and outside totally clean.  Highly recommend.

Recent Review: Very well. All work was performed perfectly except for the back porch doors. They could not be fixed without further damage. We would need to purchase steel doors to replace them. We know this is correct because the person who I stalled the doors also struggled to fix the sag.

FAffordable Handyman and Painting Services
Other than his wife being pleasant on the phone during scheduling, everything went wrong. He didn't show up for an appointment and blamed me. Then, because I needed to get the work done before a tenant moved in and didn't have time to contract another company, I needed him to come out and do the work still. He sent in what his wife called their "best tile guy" and the grout was a mess and if I didn't oversee the job myself, it would have been much worse and the materials wouldn't have been what was quoted. The Shower door cost $100 to fix and failed in 2 weeks and he kept saying that he would go back and fix it and never did. I had to give up and call another company.

Very good experience.  They started when they said they would, listened to what we wanted and made adjustments according to our wishes, came back and did touch up work after our inspection.  Definitely would recommend Mike and Donna Davis to others.  We are finishing the vanity area of the bathroom ourselves and received good tips from them.  Great job.

DAffordable Handyman and Painting Services
THE SHOWER WALLS ARE NOT PLUMB!!! I'm not sure how they managed to set the walls out of plumb, as this is very easy to avoid. This is causing problems as we attempt to have a shower door installed. Tile work is mediocre at best. Awful lippage on the wall tiles (12"x24" tiles). The shower does not drain properly from the corners not being built up enough. Drywall seams at the ceiling are uneven/sanded poorly. Bench seat was supposed to be replaced with granite similar to our wall tile but have not heard from contractor to do so. Did not enclose bottom of the bench, it is currently open wood. They sprayed a urethane sealant on it however we had requested it be enclosed. The last contact from this service was a message indicating they would have the seat (top, front, and bottom) in a week and requested the remaining balance owed which we paid. We chose a larger wall tile to cut down on the cost/difficulty to lay the tiles but the lippage is still an issue. We did not realize that the walls were out of plumb until the shower door installer came to measure the space. I have texted Dee, David's wife\office manager multiple times with no response regarding the walls being out of plumb.
