Recent Review: Not good. I wouldn't recommend him. They did what they want vs. what was contracted. You dealt with two people. A sober person in the morning and a drunk one in the eve. Steady drinkers on the job. 2 months behind schedule. Never completed job. Made a mess period.

Recent Review: I started off with a platform for my shed, than decided to rock my driveway. After seeing the results and the professionalism, I decided to complete one side of my property. I am completely satisfied with the work that Karp Excavating did. These guys ROCK!!!

I did not have good service from them. The guy took the money and did not come to do the work. We called numerous times and he never called us back. Once he finally did come he ended up damaging our property and the house we were building. Whenever we tried calling him about that he got very offensive and said that we could not prove it and that he was not going to deal with it. He decided that he was finished but he never finished the job we paid him for. He never got back to us and never finished the job so we ended up with more damage. We ended up having to open a homeowner's claim because he damaged one of the walls of our home and we ended up having the wall replaced. Apparently the insurance company can't get him to return their calls or letters either. My advice is not to go with him; what he did do was horrible work and I will not use him again in the future.

The company's name is Hilty Excavating. They worked for me probably about two months ago. It was over twelve thousand dollars once it was over with. Everything went terrible. Very very poor, just right down the whole line as far as ethics, work ethics, professionalism, knowledge, you know, skill set very very poor, very very poor work, very poor workmanship, and I would just like other folks to know that. I mean he is just very bad, very bad. The price was excessive. Terrible quality. Everything was F. I would absolutely not use them in the future. I'm trying to get some money back from him and I'm not sure if that will be successful or not. Very very bad. Very bad.

I called Stringer Excavating to get an estimate on filling in an in-ground pool on a property that the real estate agent I work for had just listed. Even though it was the first day of buck season, the gentleman went and checked out the property and called me back that afternoon with an estimate to give our clients that look at the house. I very much appreciated the quick response, and when I spoke with another excavating company, I was told the estimate he gave was a very good price.

This was the second time that I employed Blue Mountain Excavating. I called them back because they did such a good job the first time I hired them.

AVernooy & Son Construction
As for snow and ice control it is always done in a reasonable time. Construction and excavating takes longer because of the demand for there services, weather and or building inspections.

Mr. Book is a well known excavator in this area. I called and left a message that I needed a drainage ditch dug. He never returned the call.

AKAMZIK SEPTIC SVC
They excavated and cleaned the pipe so that it was still working. They explained everything to me and told me exactly what they were doing. They told me that if the problem was not solved it was an issue with the pipe on top. They didn’t want to do the entire pipe and did what they thought the problem was.

We had a really good experience overall with this company and they came highly recommended. We signed our estimate back in April of 2012 and the job was done in late October. Work schedules were a problem for us to try and be there when the job was being done so we had hoped to have it done over a week's vacation. At the estimate, a time frame of mid-August to late-September was given for work to begin, but once that time came, communication was a little lacking in updating us, which was my only small complaint. In fairness, our area was selected for mandatory sewage testing and upgrades for every home, so these guys were up to their noses in work, not to mention the setbacks of weather and other unforeseen snags. We did luck out and they were able to start working the first weekday of our October vacation. They showed up early in the morning and got right to work. The crew of between 3 and 5 men worked very efficiently and I was amazed with how quickly progress was made. They started with the basement floor and cut trenches for every drain, there were 5 total. I was worried about all the dust I was told would be blowing through my house, but they used a propane wet saw to cut through the concrete and there was no dust at all. They were respectful of my property, covering my washer and dryer and other things near where they worked. These guys even refused to use my bathroom upstairs in favor of a port-a-potty up the street because they didn't want to track dirt. That port-a-potty was there for municipal workers, so if it hadn't been there I don't know where they might have "gone". I watched most of the work out of interest in construction and the guys were patient with my presence and questions. I enjoyed watching them work. They were careful in planning out how each pipe would be laid in the basement and then placed each piece in place like a puzzle. While the basement was still in progress, they excavated the yard. The trench was dug so quickly and they got right to work laying the pipe. In their digging, they found a problem with the french drain system under our driveway and fixed that at little cost to us. Everything they did was purposeful and careful, and we were asked for our preferences on things like the position of our drain covers. The concrete job in the basement to fill the trenches was done in no time and was finished very well. After the yard was finished, they carefully removed larger rocks and debris and then tamped and smoothed out the ground. They then planted grass. In driving around our neighborhood, we see lots of freshly finished sewage jobs where the evidence is a large rocky mound of dirt that looks like a scar in the ground. Ours will soon look no different than it did before. Overall we were thrilled with Eagleson Excavating and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
