AD J MCCORMICK RENOVATIONS
McCormick Renovations was a lifesaver for me! I bought a house that needed a pretty fair amount of updating, and I ended up needing them to do more than I'd originally planned. They are very responsive once you get the manager's cell phone number, but not very responsive at the general business phone number. My tile turned out great, and all of my appliances are installed and working properly. They even went and picked up a garbage disposal and replacement vanity for me while I was at work (with my approval) and got them taken care of for me so that I didn't have to go shopping during the day. The guys who came and did the work were great. They obviously took pride in their work, and took care to keep my house clean. The only thing I would probably not schedule through them again would be the paint. I had some issues, but they promptly came and fixed it so that I was happy with the result. I'm noticing some additional problems with it now though, such as chipping around the door frame that I haven't called them about. I'm sure they would come back again though if I asked them to. I have a house full of projects, and will definitely call McCormick Renovations again.

AMatt Mertz Plumbing-Trenchless Sewer Repair Expert
After nearing the end of a basement remodeling project, I realized that the drain line for my new vanity was roughed in too low. The Matt Mertz team initially installed the drain line at the beginning of my project, but did so to the exact dimensions that I provided. I failed to realize at the time that the vanity had a drawer in the bottom which would necessitate installing the trap several inches higher than I had planned. Not really wanting to carve up my new vanity, I didn't hesitate to call Matt Mertz to see if they could talk me through some options. I was super-excited when I was told that someone could come out the next day. Steve arrived the next afternoon and immediately assessed the situation. After talking through our options, we eventually decided to raise the drain and vent line which required cutting into the new drywall. I'm still not sure how Steve did it (I didn't want to watch!), but he managed to only cut away the smallest portion of drywall, cut and raise the drain/vent assembly, and reset the vanity within about 20 minutes. Very impressive. This was the third time that I've used Matt Mertz Plumbing, and have already recommended them to my friends and family. Top notch crew all the way around.

AALL STAR PLUMBING
REPAIR WORK ON THE TWO FAUCETS WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY AND SATISFACTORILY. AFTERWARD, I REQUESTED A BID ON TWO JOBS ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE HOUSE, ONE DEALING WITH A SANITARY SEWER VENT AND THE OTHER, A DOWNSPOUT TO STORM DRAIN CONNECTION. AFTER REVIEWING THE SITUATION, THE PLUMBER SAID HE WOULD GET BACK TO ME THE NEXT DAY WITH A BID, BUT HE NEVER RESPONDED.

FPALE PLUMBING
We were told by Pale Plumbing that the work would be scheduled for a specific week in August. We left two voicemails and sent two text messages to confirm the exact date and time, but we never received a response. Pale Plumbing never acknowledged our attempts to contact them, and they never showed up as promised.

FEberle Plumbing
This guy was supposed to install my bathroom vanity--he did but he flooded the bathroom, causing a leak in my tile ceiling in the basement and ruined the ceiling. Didn't even clean up the mess or offer to replace ceiling tile or compensate me for the damage he caused! Do not recommend him at all.

AProfessional Plumbing and Heating Co
Was quoted at $500 by another plumber (who wasn't very nice about it). I decided to try these guys. They came right away. Plumber was extremely professional and polite and was very thorough in ensuring that the issue was fixed. Worked quickly and cost literally 1/4 the price (and was apologizing that he had to charge me that much!). Would absolutely recommend these guys again.

AOdd Jobs Property Maintenance
Odd Jobs is perfect for all jobs around the home. Ali and Tim were excellent. Both were very professional and knowledgeable. Ali stopped by my house a few days before the work was scheduled to discuss the various projects providing suggestions and recommendationss. The day the work was scheduled, they were punctual and came prepared to complete the tasks. Both discussed the work being completed and made sure it was done to my liking. Work was completed within a reasonable amount of time at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Odd Jobs for any tasks and look forward to having Ali and his team complete more tasks around my home.

DGoTo Guys Handyman Inc
We originally hired GoTo Guys Handyman Inc because this company seemed to offer the best price and good reviews (at the time) on Angie's List. The owner, Joe Prino, came to our house to provide an estimate. We indicated at that time that we would remove the existing vanity, sink and medicine cabinet, so time would be saved with the installment of the new vanity, sink, and etc. Joe also noted on his tablet that they would purchase new thread lines for the new faucet before coming to our house to install everything. He also said this would be a quick job and since we remove existing vanity, the project would only take 3 hours using one handyman.  The day service was scheduled the handyman (working for Joe) arrived over 1 hour late. Carolyne did call ahead to say the handyman was going to arrive a little bit late, but a whole hour is unprofessional. I gave the worker the benefit of the doubt and he started the work. The worker (who I won't name) seemed nice, but somewhat shy and very slow with completing each step of the installment. The worker then indicated that our faucet threads did not fit onto the new sink. I indicated that Joe had specified in his quote that new sink threads were going to be purchased ahead of time. The worker told me that he had just called Joe on his way to our house to see if anything needed to be purchased ahead of time and Joe told him "no". Needless to say this added another hour of time for the worker to drive out to the closest hardware store to buy the appropriate sink threads. By the time the new mirrored medicine cabinet needed to be installed we were on Hour #5 of the project. To speed up the project (which was supposed to be completed in 3 hours; max 4 hours, a second handyman was called to help hang the mirrored medicine cabinet. By this time I had to leave for a doctor's appointment, since in reality the appointment was into hour 6. I left trusting the mirrored medicine cabinet would be hung by the time I returned. I came back to the house at 4:30PM and the men were just packing up. I ran upstairs to see the mirror and noticed it was hung very low. The worker told me they hung it low b/c I am short. Hmmm... common sense told me that a mirror would be centered, but I guess that was too much to ask. When my husband came home from work he noticed how low the mirror was. We couldn't even open the mirrored doors of the medicine cabinet without knocking over the glass soap dispenser and the toothbrush holder. The next day I called and spoke to Carolyne in regards to our dissatisfaction with the height of the mirrored medicine cabinet. She asked why we didn't say something about the height at the time of service. I indicated that I had been away due to running far over our original appt. time and was not there to supervise. The date the mirrored medicine cabinet was scheduled to be re-hung Joe "no-showed" to the appointment. I called Carolyne to see what had happened and she said that she forgot to enter our appointment in the computer for Joe. We re-scheduled again and then Joe "no-showed" for a second time! This time when I called to see what had happened I was given the excuse that the new computer scheduling system was not working properly. So if this was true, then the company must have lost a lot of business because the handymen must have no-showed to many appointments. How could a company not notice having no work scheduled for the current week??? Finally, a worker arrived (not Joe) and completed the work to our satisfaction.  Lastly, the issue with the invoice. To the businesses credit they did give us a small discount because of the overtime worked. But, the discount we were "specially" given was the same discount everyone from Angies' List would have gotten- $99 for two hours of work. They even had the audacity to charge us for 2 workers (double the cost per hour), which was not originally agreed upon. My husband called and said he wanted to speak with Joe in regards to our invoice charges. Carolyne said he would call us back. Guess what- Joe never called. But, the company didn't hesitate to send us another invoice a few days later. I then responded by email that we did not receive the respect of a returned phone call as a paying customer, so we would pay what we deemed fit for the late arrival, overtime, 2 no-shows, and charging us double, without discussing the added cost of another worker.  Overall, I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. Viewing the other most recent reviews posted, it looks like other customers have received bad service as well. The company better improve its customer service or it is going to go downhill quickly! Look else where for Handyman Services.
