Recent Review: This is the second time that Dig M Pools did and installation for us. Again we were very happy with the job they did. We purchased our pool from them and it is a well made product. The owners wife was very helpful when we were deciding what pool to purchase. I would recommend Dig M Pools as first choice. Excellent job. Thanks Dig M.
Recent Review: Excellent...we had a problem leak in our swimming pool. It was initially difficult to schedule an appointment because they are so busy. They were able to get to me sooner because they had a cancellation. Mike identified two problem areas. One he was able to fix the same day and the other we had our pool maintenance company fix. Thanks goodness for Mike Haines!
Recent Review: They did great. They kept in contact by phone. They let me pick out the liner. I worked with Chuck. Anytime I had a question, he called back the same day and answered my question. He helped us get a new pump and filter. They were very helpful and took care of everything. They had my pool back up and running within 24 hours. My insurance company even recommended I use them. Nemo inspected the walls and floor of the pool and then gave us a quote.

I ordered a pool liner on the internet. Saved a bunch until I found out the liner was not a good fit. Todd did not hold it against me that I bought my liner on the internet nor did he rub it in my face. He supplied his liner for a fair price and installed it and changed the way it was secured. This was done to save me money in the future and make changing the liner much easier. I wish more business people would be as kind.

It is a small pool (24 x 16) and it took much longer than it should have. They used a bunch of sub contractors to do all the work, and they have seemingly no project manager involved. After every step, they disappeared for weeks until I called them to see what the status was, then the next day, someone would be out to start on the next step of the process. If I had not called each time, I am convinced that my pool still would not be done. As it was, it took over a year to complete a pool which should have taken about 2-3 months. It has been done for about 2 years now, and it has not been without problems. I've had a leak, which was finally determined to be because they forgot to install a plug in the second hole (which is not used) of the skimmer. They also deviated from the pool plans for unknown reasons and without my consent by putting the swim out in a different location. The paver job they did on the pool deck was marginal at best, and the Diamond Brite job was poor, as I have inconsistencies in the smoothness of the finish, which as a result collects dirt in low spots. They were a pain to deal with because I had to call them so often to get them to keep going, and they just seemed so indifferent to your project all the time. I definitely would NOT recommend them for anything, and I would never use them if I move and get a pool built again.

We had good experience. They cleaned up and got it done in a timely way. We were satisfied with the service. They were personable.

Again, we were extremely satisfied with the professionalism of the employees and the quality of the work done. This time, the son of the owner of the company did the installation, and he was the most pleasant, accomodating, friendly, excellent worker. Very polite. We would recommend Yorktown Pools and Spas to everyone looking to install a new pool or needing repairs. Top-notch company with integrity!

Not well. There was miss communication and less than half of the job was completed. We aimed to have our pool opened for a family event, but they came too late after guaranteeing to come back early enough for the pool to open. This did not happen. The manager is requesting that we pay the full amount for less than half the work and total of about 30 minutes of being at our property. I think the manager should consider the whole picture and not expect payment for what services SHOULD have been provided. He did not take responsibility for the lack of service or miss communication. Crystal Pools, Inc. does not work well with new pool owners. After a calm conversation with him, he told me that we should take our business elsewhere. I would agree. I would also recommend for those who are new with pools to take your business elsewhere. Lastly, as a customer, I expect that most companies with good reputations would have come to a compromise that is agreeable to all parties. In the future, this manager should consider this if he wants to keep costumers coming back.

The owner with his assistant removed my pool liner and inserted a new one in my jumbo sized pool. After pouring several thousand gallons of water to set the new liner the owner stopped the process because he couldn’t flatten a wrinkle which I probably wouldn’t have noticed. He decided to pump all that water out (at his expense) and reengage the project with 2 more employees the following day, which he did. In order to remove the wrinkle the owner with his assistants were waist deepen in the deep end in their work clothes (khakis and company polo shirts) while the water was being poured into the pool. I mention this because I was stunned that they simply accepted as part of the job being soaking wet in 50 degree water while in their professional clothes. I initially solicited Aqua Specialists for a quote along with other pool companies including from the company that installed my pool 14 years ago. Aqua Specialists was about 20% less than their closest bidder! They are the preferred pool supply company in my area because they do great work, are highly professional, offer a fair price, are prompt and worked around MY schedule, not THEIRS’! If you’re reading this because you’re in need of a new pool liner you’ll only need to contact Aqua Specialists.

They neglected to mention that the existing gas line and electric service would be insufficient for the new heater so I had to spend extra $$$ (30% of heater cost!) to get it operational. When the heater was installed and didn't work the service people laughed and told me that I "should have read the manual" and known that the gas and electric would need an upgrade. Next I called the owner who told me that they wouldn't do anything to help me with the cost of the upgrades and that I should just shut up and pay them for the heater. His exact words were "that isn't going to happen" and "we have thousands of customers." I was willing to be flexible but his attitude was harsh and condescending. So I went to a local magistrate who heard all of the evidence and ruled in my favor and gave me a judgment against them under the consumer protection law of PA. Clearly the unfairness of what they did is not just my opinion. They bottom line... they were fine for years of service (new pool covers etc.) when there was no dispute but as soon as there was trouble there was not even the slightest acknowledgement of my concerns. Go ahead and use them if you are sure that you will never have a dispute, but if things go wrong don't say you weren't warned.
