Recent Review: Columba came out to do the estimate. He was punctual, respectful, and professional. And he was basically fun to talk to. I had several estimators come out and he was among the few that I seriously considered and definately the nicest one. They came in priced higher for this particular estimate, but their proposal would have been less disruptive. than the company I ended up choosing. Even though I didn't select them I am very glad I asked for an estimate from this company and will certainly contact them again if I need additional work.

Recent Review: I had a photograph of a wooden lattice that I wanted replicated on a very large wall at the front of our house.  Paul nailed the design and the result was excellent.  Paul suggested we paint the backside before he place it on the wall to prevent future rot.  I'd also asked Paul to remove a large awning - which also meant replacing the siding - which was done in an excellent fashion.   I've used Paul on many occasions from creating a new all in a workroom/garage area to power washing and sealing our deck.  His fees are reasonable and I've never had reason to ask him to return and "fix" any of this work.   He is someone who will suggest a less expensive solution if there is one - and will present you with options if he thinks there is a better way of doing the job.

Custom Contractors LLC
Recent Review: I bought my home in fall of 2010. The home was built in 1890 and has built in gutters. I knew that the gutters on the home were original and needed repair, as they leaked during any rain fall. In the spring of 2011 I noticed some water marking on my one ceiling. I called custom contractors first because they had done a small re-plastering job when I first bought the home. Adam was very quick to make time that day to come and check it out. He did a thorough job-- getting up on the roof and checking everything out to determine the cause. He then took time to put together my options for repair. I appreciated that he was conscientious about both affordability and quality. He found the best option for us that was both durable, but wasn't going to break our bank! I had about 4 other contractors take a look at the house, too. I did not go with any of these contractors for a number of different reasons. One said something like, and quot;if you don't understand, you can have your husband call me and I'll explain it to him,and quot; as if I am not capable for comprehending. Another saw dollar signs and wanted to rip our slate roof off (which is in superb condition). Others were either too expensive of offered a cheap quality solution. I ended up going with Custom Contractors. Work began in mid August. The gutter restoration was complete in less than 2 weeks. Once that was done, the scrapping and painting began. The painting took a long time to complete (some delays due to weather). This is the only reason I would give Custom Contractors a and quot;Band quot; for punctuality. But all in all the carpenters and painters did a great job. They were always friendly and were sure to clean up after themselves. The gutters look great and have not leaked at all. The paint on the house looks great as well (and I am meticulous about paint!) Overall, I will always consider Custom Contractors for my future projects. I trust in their good, quality work as well as their fair pricing. I will recommend them to anyone I know needing work done, especially to people with historical homes who want to ensure the beauty of the home is preserved.
