McAleer’s Plumbing Heating, and A/C Inc
Recent Review: I called McAleer's to ask if they replaced / installed sump pumps. They said yes. I scheduled a day with them that fit both our schedules. On the day, they called me and said they would be at my residence in about 30 minutes. I met them at my house and showed them what I needed done. I explained to the best of my knowledge what needed replaced and looked at to see if everything was functioning properly (which I was under the impression that it was, but wasn't 100% sure). After the 2 service technicians started to get into everything, it was determined that I needed to replace 1 sump pump. The technicians quickly and knowledgeably removed old sump pump and replaced with a new sump pump, piping, and a check valve (bringing up to code). There was a second area in my basement that I thought had a sump pump, but I never heard it run in the 7 years I owned the house. After the technicians opened up this specific sump pump "pit", we all found out together that there were 2 sump pumps in this "pit"...one was completely inoperable and the other had so much sludge on it from stagnant water that it couldn't effectively pump any water out. I felt that it was best that I replace these 2 sump pumps also. The service technicians put on new piping and check valves for these sump pumps also (bringing up to code). Thanks to McAleer's knowledgeable and professional technicians, they gave me some insight to how my entire water removal hardware is supposed to work, made sure it worked, and brought everything up to building code. They taught me things I did not know about my own house, and thus, may have saved any future water damage in my finished basement now that I have properly working water removal hardware and everything is working as it has been designed to do. McAleer's service technicians were very pleasant, very knowledgeable, and did not waste any time getting the job done. Hats off to McAleer's establishment for taking pride in taking care of their customers, both in knowledge and financially by NOT "ripping me off" or overcharging. For the work I had done and the parts I had consumed, I feel that it was a respectable amount paid...fair and honest. Even after the technicans performed the work, I received a thank you card in the mail from McAleer's, thanking me for my business. If I have any other plumbing, heating or air conditioning issues, I will definitely be calling McAleer's to perform the work. Thanks again, McAleer's!

Keystone Basement Systems & Structural Repair Inc
Recent Review: I contracted with Keystone several years ago to waterproof my old basement. Aaron and his crew were absolutely topnotch! My home is 100+ years with a sandstone foundation. At the time, I had owned my home for well over 20 years and the small streams of water from the walls to the floor multiplied over time with each rainfall. I finally decided to bite the bullet and secure estimates for waterproofing. Aaron provided me with the best quote and my decision to move forward with the work has proven to be a blessing. I have had a dry basement for the past five years and was even able to place a large area rug on the floor. Although the floor is very uneven and the basement will never be livable space, I can enjoy the dry floor and white walls and not have to worry about moisture. During the work, the crew went above and beyond by removing an old sink and toilet, and laying concrete in an old storage closet that had a dirt floor. The sump pump did go off last year during an exceptionally heavy rainfall and I didn't know how to turn off the alarm. I called Keystone and a gentleman called me back right away to provide easy instructions. I'm now looking forward to hearing from my friends at Keystone, since the work comes with follow-up visits every five-years to flush out the system. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Keystone to anyone in need of waterproofing.

BThompson's Basement Waterproofing
tOur basement leaked really bad and had a horrible mold problem. They came in did a estimate and worked with us on our budget. They called to set up a appointment and came out five min early. Now the crew did not look very professional. They looked like some people off the street. They played there music to loud but that was only during a lunch break. They ran into a problem while doing our waterproofing, fixed it, and did not charge us extra. They did a great job however. They installed a sump pump, cut out a trench in the basement and concreted it. Then they sprayed the mold and installed a commercial dehumidifier. The work was done on time and it was done right. I would use them again. they started at 7 am and were done by 2. they cleaned up after themselves and the basement looks wonderful.

DThompson's Basement Waterproofing
When our finished basement flooded we needed inside the house wart proofing as not all areas of the outside we're accessible. They planned out the work very well. Initial work was done very quickly. The workmen were polite and professional. They used plastic covers but left a large amount of dust. I expected that the floor where they installed the drains would look different than the original floor but it appears to be a very coarse, cheap, concrete that has a rough surface and does not blend smoothly into the original floor. After they finished work and we cleaned up the mess, we had the walls rebuilt where they had cut away the bottom 18". Luckily we did not install carpeting right away because at the first heavy rain an 8 ft section leaked. When we called about having this fixed it took a month and many phone calls to get a response and despite assurances from the secretary who said she was hired to address problems with interactions with customers it took another 2 months, 2 times where the company didn't show up for appointments and multiple phone conversations with a supervisor (Jeff) who would swear at me and hang up the phone on me. When the workmen finally came to fix the leak they found it was caused by improper work. The repaired floor was even rougher than the other areas. We asked Thompson's to pay for redoing the wall and door frame that we're cut open for the repair, but they refused, saying it wasn't part of their warranty.

Everything went really well.  Tony and his crew were amazing.  They were very punctual and completed the job in the exact timeframe that was planned on.  They were extremely knowledgeable and left my basement looking the best it has in 30 years.  Not only has their solution improved the look and feel of my basement, it came with a lifetime warranty and every 5 years they will come back and check it to ensure no problems develop over time.  I have to admit I am not a very trusting person when it comes to major renovations or changes to my property because of previous issues that resulted in a negative effect on my house; but Keystone Basement Systems has proven that there are contractors who you CAN trust and rely upon.  Thanks Guys!

The estimator and crew that did the work were very professional. We got the estimate and two days later the crew showed up and completed all the work in one day, which was faster than we were expecting. We have had several strong downpours since then, and not a sign of any water in the basement!

It went very well. There was a lot of work involved in this process. The men were very conscientious about keeping dirt and dust to a minimum. They were polite and punctual at all times. Mark the foreman was very helpful and patient with all my questions and concerns. He checked daily to see if I had any questions.
