Recent Review: We obtained three quotations from three different contractors to install insulation in the ceiling of our garage. Keener quoted a lower RValue (19) insulation than the other two contractors. Two other contractors quoted a higher RValue for the insulation. We hired one of them because we felt that we needed more insulation, not less. We did talk to the estimator at Keener about this, but he insisted that we only needed R19. This, of course, was less expensive than what we ultimately had installed by another contractor. Keener may have been correct, and possibly, we should have contracted them, but we just didn't know and we felt that more must be better.

Recent Review: Contacted them for an estimate and had a return call and date scheduled the same date.  Very accommodating for appointment times. Met with Rick, very polite and professional, looked at the site and estimate was quick and much less expensive than I was expecting.  He was able to schedule the installation the next week. They showed up on time, completed the job quickly.  They cleaned everything up and had me inspect prior to leaving the site to ensure I was happy with the work.  They did an amazing job, my house is well over a hundred years old and nothing is square or standard measure.  They made it look easy and cared about doing a good job.  I would definately use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Recent Review: These gentlemen were very polite and courteous. The estimate was right on and the installer was personable and knowledgeable. He did his work in a very professional manor and cleaned up so thoroughly you would never know he had been there. Neither man minded answering questions and if something arose I needed to be aware of I was told immediately. I'd highly recommend this company and I'd hire them in a split second if the need occurred for help.

Recent Review: From the moment Gordon and Ben of Home Energy and Comfort arrived, the entire process was done timely, efficiently, neatly and with minimal disruption to the routine of everyone in the home.  Ben and Gordon were a pleasure to have in my home and left the house and outside as clean and neat as they found it.  (they had to climb 2 staircases newly carpeted)  My home feels noticeably warmer and I would recommend Home Energy and Comfort to anyone needing their services with Two Thumbs up.

Recent Review: Flat portion of my roof was leaking and had developed a contour that had created a ponding effect. Roof was surrounded on three sides by a sloped roof which made it rather tricky to reshape the flat portion while still properly fitting in with the rest of the roof. A detailed estimate was prepared and accepted. They stripped off the bad roofing down to the rafters (per my request) to check for and repair any water damage to the sub-structure and to install insulation. The men that performed the job worked well together as a team. All contacts and work performed on promised dates. All participants were very friendly and courteous and made certain they showed me what they were doing and explained what and why they were doing it. I was very pleased and would highly recommend them.

Recent Review: There were two young people that completed the job extremely well. #1- Drilled 2-1/2" holes halfway up the wall, every 16" in outside walls to be insulated. Using hose from large machine inside their truck where medium was contained; blew medium into holes starting inside southerly direction and when filled completed the northerly and east/west directions. Each hole was checked with wire tool to identify how far each wall space went and which direction each space needed to be filled with medium. #2 cleaned up the dust from the floor with a vacuum and put foam into each hole as they were filled so that dust/medium would stay inside wall hole. The next step was permanently filling the holes with spackling and making sure they were even with the walls. Did a really great job of filling them. We only needed to paint them! In the kitchen they removed plastic tile to drill holes & fill with insulation medium . None were cracked or broken and all were put back so well you can't tell which tile were affected. The whole job went extremely well. Both young people kept working with only one short break to go outside for fresh air. They were professional and respectful. I think they both should wear masks because of the affect on their lungs especially the one cutting the holes. She was right up there with the drill and did all of the holes needing drilled and filled with medium. I would recommend Weather Shield to anyone.

AJ-ME'S Home Improvements
We had an excellent experience.  When I called, those calls were answered quickly and appropriately.  There was additional roofing work that had to be done which was explained in detail.  We were told what the issue was, how it occurred and how best to correct the problem, and we were able to make an informed decision.  They treated my home as if it were their home.  I felt very comfortable working.

DS&T Insulation Spouting Inc
S and T was contracted to insulate the ceiling of a new 4 season room and add 8 inches of blown-in insulation to my existing attic. The insulation was installed fine in the new room, however, they accessed the attic thru the ceiling of the new room instead of the closet access panel. This caused the access panel to be covered with insulation. We told the installer we had an access panel and when I questioned why is was covered he said "it's too late, I already covered it". They then left me an entire roll of batt insulation so I could add a piece to the access cover myself. I expressed my displeasure with the process who had the estimater, Nick, give me a call. Nick then came out to inspect the work on a Thursday and agreed they needed to come back as there was not an even 8" of added insulation in the attic. He assured me he would call on Friday to schedule a time to return. I waited all day Friday and did not receive a call. At 7:00am Monday morning, the installer shows up and starts ringing the doorbell. I was extremely upset as this woke up my 2 young children. I sent him away and said they need to call me to schedule. They are to finish the job today but this whole process could have been avoided by simply doing the correct job the first time.

AYour Remodeling Guys
the good: 1.The contractor (third party) that Your Remodeling Guys (YRG) sent our was amazing and super professional. they improvised to get the job done the right way. 2.The insulation material is hypoallergenic, does not itch, burn, or turn into dust like most conventional blown in insulation. 3.After installation of everything: my power bill was $90 a month for electric beforehand not running the AC. all summer wile using the AC 100% of the time my bills still remained at about $90. 4.The house feels great! and overall was worth it. the bad: 1. financial loan information was not clearly stated to me till just before signing the papers in my home. in hindsight I would have waited a little longer because they had to give me a higher interest rate due to mediocre credit (my first house... what can I say.) This altimetry bumped up my monthly payment a bit over budget. -2 for price 2. Blown in insulation should not be blown in with our baffles installed around the parameter of the attic. This is typical practice but was not in the price ($4000) as quoted. The Contractor was very generous and took some material he had left over in his truck and made some baffling for the project (very happy about that) -1 for quality on YRG part +1 for the actual contractor guys. 3. the contractor was not able to install insulation cover for the attic steps. however YRG gave me back material cost for this. 4.Soffet vents did not have screen in the caps. This can let bugs in. I have yet to replace the caps they installed with bug proof ones. -1 for quality. the ugly... there was no ugly. it was cleaned up very well and I was made sure I was satisfied with everything afterword.
