Recent Review: Very good, overall. The sales representative was courteous, responsive, and very accomodating to our busy schedules. The engineer was knowlegable and able to work around some difficulties posed by the design of the house. I never interacted with the installation team, but they cleaned up after themselves reasonably well. We had one small problem after the installation and they were out the next day to fix it. The system has been working wonderfully since then. My only complaint would be that the installation team did not communicate where they were in the process at any given point, so we had to guess about whether they would be at the house the next day. That said, if I took the initiative to call the sales representative and ask, he always got the information and let me know.
Recent Review: The work was completed in a very timely manner and with the highest degree of craftsmanship and customer care. There is a small leak somewhere in the underground plumbing of my geothermal heating system. I expected to receive a cost estimate in the several thousands of dollars, believing that excavation of the entire system underground would be required. Dave from Donahues suggested a simple and permanent solution for the cost of $480.00. The system is now working perfectly.
Recent Review: They were subcontracted by another company that installed the geothermal for the drilling of the vertical wells. They were very professional and easy to work with. They respected our landscaping and property.

BYoder Drilling & Geothermal Inc
From a business perspective, I dealt mainly with the prime contractor. I dealt with Yoder only because they did the outside work as a subcontractor. The dollar amount above is only my rough estimate for the subcontractor share of the job. They showed up when promised. Got all of the drilling (5 x 175 ft wells) done in one day. A week later, they came back and got all of the trenching and piping done in a second day. They were flexible. They managed to thread the trenches and pipes in between existing trees to minimize damage. They unfortunately damaged 5 buried pipes (2 I warned them about, 3 no-one knew existed) but they took it in stride and repaired each one good as new. They went above and beyond to do a little extra work as a favor while they were here and would not accept any extra money for it. They left the yard a mess, but they warned me several times about this (even with pictures) before I signed the contract, so I no way hold that against them. There was a small dispute between the driller and the engineer. The engineer was correct (as I can verify because I am an engineer myself) but the driller did it his way. But he did compromise a bit when I pushed him to and quot;do it rightand quot;. This was not a major thing (or I would have insisted more strongly), but it may cost the efficiency of my system a small amount.

He replaced a contractor that was showing signs of wear, checked all temp gradients and added 1# of refrigerant to one system

AAir Systems Mechanical Contracting Inc
It has been good experiences. I pay for a package every year. They're very professional, extremely knowledgeable about their products, and they stand by their products. They did excellent jobs on the installation and follow-up. $185 is probably more than the average service fee because our geothermal system requires a lot of work to be done during the yearly checkup.
The project went great from start to finish. From the proposal and quote phase of the job, everything was excellent. I can't say enough good things. And, I can't think of anything negative to say. That's a rarity. Usually there is something you would have liked to see done better. I got multiple bids with very different proposed solutions. Four ton vs. 6 ton solution. During the bidding process WPGHCI had taken the extra time to put together the best solution for my particular house's thermal needs and very different 50 year old duct work design. The other solution may not have worked. WPGHCI could explain exactly why their solution was the right choice. They had gone from my actual heating/cooling bills and double checked those against an analysis of my house. They measured every room, window, and checked the types of insulations. The other supplier had not used the actual bills or adjusted for the duct work design. WPGHCI put effort into getting the plan right. And then executed to the plan. The Project manager did the proposal and followed it through to completion and beyond. And, even though they are busy they didn't cut any corners. I had to wait my turn and when my turn came I got their excellent service. The WPGHCI people know what they are doing, do it professionally and follow the agreement. This was the best contractor I have ever hired. The references I had checked said the same thing. I am very happy with the result. If you want a geothermal system, WPGHCI is an excellent choice.

They are pretty much experts in this area. We have a geothermal unit, and they are pretty much experts on that. I would not call anyone else to come out and service the furnace. They have very good service. Their service price is probably reasonable. Like I said, I would not call anyone. I have been pleased with their service. They are a little bit higher than the company we had but I am sure that is for this economy.

We requested 4 quotes to replace our geothermal heat pump. Eand D was the only company who took the time to measure the house and do a complete thermal survey to determine the proper size unit. The others simply estimated based on replacing the existing unit at the same size. Eand D's crew showed up exactly when promised, did a very professional and neat installation and took the time to make certain we understood how to operate the system. Dennis folowed up in a few days with a visit to make certain all was working as promised and we were satisfied.
I contacted several contractors and WPG was by far the most professional and thorough in their evaluation and explanation - spending several hours at my house. The quote they produced was very detailed and informative and left their competitors looking like confused children. There were some initial problems with a planned subcontractor, but WP took full responsibility and straightened it out. They worked with me to meet my deadlines. They were always very professional took time at every step to ensure that I was satisfied. The only very slight negative is that they are no so good with the paperwork. The initial quote took longer than it should have and likewise with the paperwork at the end. But they were always responsive when I pushed and in the end I received eveerything I expected. I would give WPG a strong recommendation and would have no hesitance to work with them again.
