Recent Review: Had a bid on the new door and windows. Went elsewhere for windows based just on price and Energy Trust reimbursement. When I told them I went elsewhere for windows and the price quoted to me, they said they could have matched the price. I assumed I got their best price with their bid. Door I purchased is great.

Recent Review: I was contacted within a few hours of purchasing a repair coupon. They understood I was without a garage until repaired. Steven scheduled me the very next day. He arrived promptly, assessed the damage, explained that I would need a new door in the future but he could formulate a workable repair for the meantime. I appreciated his honesty and creativity with the repair, knowing that a new door expense was unexpected. He left brochures for a new door which I know is eminent and without hesitation I will be Genuine Garage Doors for the new door.

Recent Review: James had to remove molding around the door to get it out. He even went to Home Depot and got a new door, took it home and painted it over the weekend in his garage. He installed the new door and painted around the door frame. He was very professional, courteous and punctual. I would not hesitate to use this company again and would even request James to do the work. A very satisfied customer.
Recent Review: Replaced a broken pocket door guide without having to cut into the drywall. Other estimates all required removing drywall which increased their price significantly. This contractor had a specialized tool, saving me time and money.
Recent Review: Dale was an excellent craftsman with switching out the hardware and designing detailing, tailor made for the existing door frame. His knowledge and expertise were outstanding. He listens to the home owner and offers creative solutions. We love the results of our new door, and feel much prouder of the entry way.

It went well. A pocket door in our laundry room had gone off track. The repair was complex, requiring removal of the door frame and bending the track back in place. The handyman that came to our house was professional and completed the task in the time he estimated it would take.

ACall the Fixer
Our house is 59 years old, and while it's in great shape, many of its features are vintage and hard to repair or find parts for. Ric fixed a sliding pocket door between the kitchen and dining room that slid roughly and awkwardly--the sliding mechanism was obviously broken. As it turns out, the door's metal track-and-wheels mechanism had been discontinued in 1952, the manufacturer was long out of business, and replacements were hard to find. Ric worked all day long (at a very reasonable hourly rate) including trips to hardware stores looking for parts, taking the door assembly and part of the wall apart to get at what was broken, then putting it all back together again. He did a great job on a hard project, and kept smiling all the way. We'll definitely consider Ric for our next project.

DTOHM Remodeling & Handyman
Did everything except cords. BUT, the coat rack fell, the piece on pool table came off again and drilled into our pocket door when hanging tv. Then came back and rehung coat rack and tried to fix the pocket door. Coat rack is still up. Pocket door is discolored where it was sanded and looks bad. He drilled a hole in our ceiling to thread cords, said he would take it with him to match color to replace, made an appt to come back and we have not seen him since. Now we have a hole in our ceiling and no piece to replace, broken pool table, bad pocket door and door knob that fell off and cracked our tile. We will not use again.

I called Handyman Matters for an estimate to repair a pocket door and scheduled an appointment for this morning. Kelly arrived on time and was very polite, courteous and seemed knowledgable. When I asked what the costs involved would be he seemed surprised that I hadn't been advised of this information prior to his arrival. He explained he was there to fix the door which included a $50 service charge and $75 an hour fee. The total estimated costs to repair the door would be outside my budget so I was unable to have him do the work but was charged the service fee regardless. My complaint is that I was NOT informed of a service charge fee when I scheduled the appointment. I have never been charged a service fee for an estimate. My hope is that the $50 went directly to Kelly as he was the only one who preformed a service today!

Kory was able to schedule are job the next day! Yeah! Jason arrived on time and went right to work on our pocket door. He was quick and solved the problem by gently removing some moulding and retrieving the item blocking the pocket door. You cannot even tell where he worked on the moulding. Then he trimmed our three doors and you cannot tell. Love this company and would highly recommend

Rueben is great. The work he did is 100% professional grade work. I also have to thank him for being flexible with his schedule. I had other contractors who kept changing their schedule and as a result I had to postpone, more than once, Rueben's schedule. He never complained and totally understood. I recommend Rueben 100%

Hans and Betsy are amazing to work with! I have used them in the past and am always super pleased with their work. For this job, Hans remodeled a 70's master bath into a beautiful 2014 bathroom. Hans removed one wall and pocket door, installed a pocket door into a different wall, tiled the floor, installed a freestanding cabinet, shower doors, and installed a closet organizing system. We couldn't be happier with the space!
