Jamie was extremely professional. He brought all necessary equipment, including coveralls and respirator to do the crawspace inspection- he really jumped in there and got dirty. His inspection lasted over 4 hours- during the last hour I toured the property with him and he showed me all of his findings, including doing lots of teaching about our "new" old home. Lots of advice about what needed to be done immediately and what could wait, which is helpful when determining and prioritizing our budget with this new property. Jamie's report was over 40 pages long and included photos of the most significant findings. He provided both a hardcopy report and a pdf within 1 day of his inspection. Interestingly, when other contractors came out to create bids for sewer, plumbing, and electric, they used his report as a jumping off point. His report was very organized, methodical, and will be great guidance for our future home repairs. Would definitely recommend Jamie for others needing home inspection.

The crawl space was the main thing I wanted inspected but he did not get into the crawl space because he said it was too small. He just looked inside and said it was alright by the smell. He spent a lot of time on his computer doing his reports, but I did like the report I got, it was very detailed.

APillar To Post of SW Washington
Pillar to Post would be our first choice in home inspection. They are thorough and miss nothing which could potentially impact a homebuyer in a negative way. The inspector is knowledgeable and honest. We continue to use their services for routine attic and crawl space inspection, making sure we don’t miss any unseen problems.

It was my best experience yet. He thoroughly worked the whole house from the crawl space to attic everything his eye caught he took pictures and explained why it was a problem. It ended up saving me a lot of money I would highly recommend there services.

AHome Inspections Northwest
This is the third home in six years that Lee has inspected for us. He is excellent. His professionalism and prompt replies are superb. He is especially aware of insect and window issues, as well as crawl space details.

Okay, just okay. She missed some minor, but annoying problems, like missing and broken crawl space vent screens (thus allowing rodents easy access). Didn't feel she had a strong knowledge of construction.

ANATIONAL PROPERTY INSPECTION
KEVIN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE WAS PROMPT AND EFFICIENT. I WAS ABLE TO GET A COPY OF THE INSPECTION REPORT AS SOON AS HE FINISHED, AS HE CARRIED A LAPTOP AND PORTABLE PRINTER WITH HIM.

ADoctor J's Home Inspections
It went very well. Jeff and Ken work well together and make sure to cover all the bases. Inspecting the entire house and going above and beyond even inspecting the flooded out crawl space. I would recommend Doctor J's to anyone looking for a through, honest home inspection.

BOREGON WEST INSPECTIONS INC
They were good and through. He quoted us a fee for a full inspection but there was not adequate space to get into the crawl space and they did not adjust the price, which I did not understand. The explanation I got was that that was the price. He said if I could get him access he would come back for only $100 but I felt I had already paid for it and it should have been adjusted.

We hired Oregon West based solely on the reviews we found here on Angie's List, and I have to say I was disappointed. Paul arrived on time and began to work his way through the checklist of things he does for any home inspection. He physically had trouble getting into the crawl space, and then told us that part of the crawl space was not accessible literally as he was walking out the door. Had he told us hours earlier, we could have resolved it before he left. Instead we had to resolve it the following day - but he insisted on another $125 to return to inspect the remaining part of the crawl space - a 15 to 20 minute job at most. He submitted a report to us within 24 hours, but there were many items listed as 'incomplete' because of the crawl space issue. That was a mistake, in my opinion. If you're a small business and you want a happy customer - you return for the 15 minutes to finish the job. Since we weren't blown away by the first inspection, we ended up paying a different inspector to finish up and the differences between the two were night and day. UPDATE... It's now about 2 weeks since our inspection, and the seller of the home we are buying has just reported leaking near one of the fireplaces. The tuck pointing on the roof needs to be completely re-done -- a $3,500 repair. As the service provider who came to look said, "this should have easily been found during inspection" but alas... it was not! My experience definitely did not warrant an "A" rating.

Recent Review: Brian did a great job. He showed up on time with all of his tools and supplies. He had everything he could ever need. He walked us through the entire house as well as process and took pictures and great notes along the way. He did a fabulous job explaining everything to us in detail and sent us the report that same evening for us to review.
Recent Review: I called to get an inspection of my crawl space, I was concerned about some water when we had the heavy rains in Feb. The inspector came out and did an extensive inspection. He told me that someday I would have to have the vapor barrier replaced that the small amount of water I saw was normal. He also showed me where to install some vent wells to minimize the chance of water getting into the crawl space. He also recommended a service to have my down spouts "scoped". It was a pleasure dealing with a competent professional that did not recommend unneeded work. I was very impressed and will call M Leon the next time I need this type of service.

Recent Review: No service needed. It was working fine. Crawl space was completely dry, even with our recording breaking wet winter. They took pictures from the crawl space to show me the sump pump. No charge.
Recent Review: Steve was quick to respond to my inquiry. I called him to inspect a place and then cancelled because the sale did not go forward. I called him a few weeks later to inspect another place and he was able to make an appointment for just a few days later. He was thorough, and he explained everything he found. He took pics in the crawl space so he could show me what he'd found. At the end of the inspection he told me to call him with any questions, which I did. I was very pleased with the entire experience.
