Recent Review: It all went great.  Scott showed up when he said he would, and gave me an estimate for the list I had for him.  The work was all well done and done quickly.  Scott was very prompt, professional and reasonable with his prices.  I have already had him return and hang a new storm door for me.  From the experience I've had, I would recommend him to anyone, and I am sure I will keep his card handy.

Bob Rhoades and his daughter Tara were just what I needed to do the repairs on my home. My husband passed away a year ago after a short 3 year illness and I did not know how bad my house had gotten on the outside. Bob advised me on several matters that needed immediate attention. He and Tara offered help with color combinations and I love the way my house looks now. The 2 men that did the work on the house were very kind and sensitive to the special needs of my family. There was no mess to clean up when they were done for the day. Their quality of workmanship is excellent. They even took time to help me decide on what color paint to put where. Bob stayed in touch with me daily and inspected the job site almost daily. I was very comfortable leaving them alone with my home unlocked. I had gotten several estimates from others and M. Rhoades Co. was from $5000. to $12,000 cheaper. I would recommend them to anyone and have them back to my home anytime I need help with my house. When the painting is complete I will post before and after pictures. Great Company and Crew.

I will  NEVER hire this man again!! I will also  NEVER recommend him to anyone that I care about!!  We were in the need of a new back door and storm door and decided to also have a new storm door for the front installed.  We personally purchased the storm door for the front & Joel Hernandez was to supply both doors for the back.  Further conversation included the building of the deck in the backyard.  Joel was paid a portion in the beginning to get him started and to paid for the materials.  Within about a week or so after the initial payment, he was paid to remainder of the balance.  Now (August 3, 2011), we are STILL waiting for him to install the storm door for the back.  Upon completion of the deck, he managed to cut our phone line & we had to have a new one installed (fortunately, the man that replaced the line set it up so that no one would be charged).  We also found out Friday (July 29, 2011) that he had managed to cut our outside gas line and had to have our gas cut off - which is STILL cut off!!!!  Ever since the beginning of the contractual agreement, we have been the ones that are having to call Joel about EVERYTHING!!!  Joel keeps giving excuses after excuses about the situations & now that our gas has been shut off for almost a week, I am having to have my son stay with my parents while this is all taken care of.  Joel does not seem to care that I am having to make changes in ways of getting simple things done and taking care of my son (I have to wash some clothes at the laundry mat beauces there are some things you can't wash in cold water, my husband and I have been taking cold baths/showers, I have to boil my water in order to be able to wash dishes, all of which are reasons that my son is staying with my parents).  The work is still no completed & if my husband hadn't sent Mr. Hernandez a message, we never would have known that he fired the original plumber (the one we have been waiting since Monday to show up) today & has another one lined up.  If we're such a high priority customer, then why are we getting the run around and having to be the ones that make all the phone calls??  He tried denying that he cut the phone line - even though the technician came out and said that it was done where Joel had done his digging for the deck - and he tried denying that he cut the gas line - even though the rep from our gas company wrote it down and signed that the cut was done by Joel's work.  With the two doors that he did managed to get installed, there are gaps.  Neither door seals completely like it should making it pointless for me to leave my front door open and air conditioner on when I have hot air coming in through the gaps in my storm door.  I have to keep the door that leads to the back door closed because the main back door does not seal completely.  I'm not understanding why or how it would take over a month to have three doors and a small deck installed?!?!  Joel will spout out some pretty impressive past customer references, but don't trust him!!!!!!  I really have so much more to say, but it's going to take a lot of space.  Joel Hernandez is the owner and, in the opinion of all those that know the situation - family & friends - he has a really terrible way of running his business!!!

The sales person who came to our home to give the estimate for replacing windows, doors and siding was a very polite and knowledgeable young man. He took the time to explain the process and demonstrate the products to be used. We felt very confident that a professional job could be expected. However, that was the last positive contact we experienced with management. Our home is out in the country - off the beaten path. Apparently the location was a problem. The first crew that came delivered the materials and advised they would be back the next Monday. When Monday arrived, the crew did not. They had been pulled off our project and sent to another location closer to their home. Another crew would be sent. One man came to the house the next week and installed two doors, but could not install the storm doors. He left. Later in the week, another (different) worker came, dropped off his tools and assured us he would return the following Monday. Monday arrived. He didn't. A fourth crew was scheduled to come and actually did show up. Once here, they were professional and proficient. Unfortunately, the crew supervisor became ill and could not complete the job. Once again, ANOTHER crew was dispatched and darned if it wasn't the ORIGINAL crew!!! Several conversations took place with the owner of the company and his daughter who works as his assistant. While they seemed to be nice people, the only responses I received were excuses that they were very busy and would send a crew when they could. I had a conversation with a Ronco sales person at a Women's Living Exposition on February 11th. He was surprised we were having this problem because they and quot;had crews just sitting around.and quot; The original crew made the same statement when they returned to finally complete the project. Communication is definitely not their strongest forte`. I should say, the quality of the work completed was very good, and the majority of the workers (think we met most of the crews!) seemed to be skilled in their particular areas. Rather than feeling that our business was appreciated, the experience left us feeling that our $15,000.00 investment was unimportant to the company and, moreover, a big inconvenience. WOW!
