Recent Review: He did a very good job. He is not very good in returning phone calls, but he did an excellent job. What was wonderful about him compared to other pool people is that he does not give a rough price. He quotes the price and then does the job. Unlike the other who decide the price as they do the job. My biggest complain about them is that you can never get him to call you back.
This review is a bit aged. Since a swimming pool is long term investment we are still within the the expectant life of the pool. Simple facts: 1. The vendor wanted paid the final draw well before the work was completed. 2. We had to hire another company to finish the project. 3. The pool has had a leak from day one that is not related to the plumbing. Other pool experts believe that the pool was not sealed properly allowing water to seep through the stone on the water fall feature. 4, The stone recommended by the vendor for the edging is crumbling and falling apart to the point it is now a safety hazard. I have been informed by experts that type of stone is "too soft" and should not be used for this type of application. 5 In 2007 the concrete started to "chip". We had the concrete tested by a laboratory, test results showed the concrete moisture content was way to high. I had our attorney contact the vendor. The vendor went around my attorney and contacted me directly. He said it had been too long, there was no warranty. He went on to tell me that they get sued a lot and they never loose. I asked why they had so much expertise in being sued? He did answer the question, On the advice of legal counsel we decided to simply eat our loss and go on down the road.

They are usually on time, very good with scheduling, and proactive. They usually contact you and check the swimming pool instead of you forgetting about it.

Came and gave an estimate, and honest report on condition of pool and deck. Did not try to sell us unneeded services (as another company did) and suggested work that we could do ourselves and save costs. Ordered the liner and installed it as well as a new diving board. Notified us that the light was corroded and replaced it. We are pleased with the service.

Designer was excellent - knowledgeable, friendly, approachable, responsive, and thorough. While we hoped it was going to work out with Vivion, in the end their price was just way too high. I think it reflected the higher quality build and equipment they use, and their usual clientele. They seem to be a company building pools for Tulsa's "rich and famous" rather than just for us regular folks. Several of the designs they showed us were for politicians, local celebrities, pools on the lake, etc. It seemed to us be the difference between buying the BMW or just a regular car that does the job and satisfies everything you want - in the end we went with the company that was in the middle in terms of quality and price. There are lots of companies out there doing pools and we're sure Vivion is honest and have the highest standards. They came highly recommended by anyone who had dealt with them. In the end, we were disappointed not to be able to hire them. If you have the money, I can think of no better company to build you the fanciest and most expensive pool you can buy in the area.

Purchased pool from John Lemmon at dolphin pools. He came to our house to help us find a place for pool, came out during install and after. Could not ask for a better person to help with the pool process. I am new to owning a pool and John has been very helpful. Would highly recommend John Lemmon and Dolphin Pools.

Having contacted many companies to provide design consultation and cost information, and being routinely disappointed by their lack of response or interest in my project, I was directed to Artisan Pools by another entity. I contacted the owner/operator and set a meeting. He and his partner were punctual, prepared, and very personable. We discussed the vision my family had for our installation, made some preliminary drawings, and some high level cost estimates were made. At that time, we were not prepared to begin the project but instead really needed to know what sort of cost our vision would carry with it. They were happy to oblige. Six months later, with funding in hand, we contacted them again. Another meeting was set and conducted with concrete plans made and a contract drafted. Once the contract was effective the work began in earnest. All contractors were timely, courteous, and professional. The owners were in regular contact with us advising of the current status and projected timeline. The only delay in the project at all was the PebbleTec finish (which I recommend) -- it seems there are a limited number of contractors who can install that finish. From start to finish, the owners of Artisan Pools treated us like we were their only customers, even though we didn't have a quarter million dollar project we felt like we did. No complaints about the installation quality and the upgrades we selected on their recommendation have been spot on. No hard sell here. Like any good architect, they can talk you through your vision and help you develop into a real solution that you'll be very happy with. If I were to ever install another pool, I wouldn't call anybody else.

All season we have been filling the pool with water daily because of a substantial leak. We called around to find a good price for leak detection after hearing how expensive the process was. I called American Leak Detection as well as Mullin Plumbing and was told specifically that Mullin Plumbing charged a flat rate of $250 to find the leak. This was much better the American Leak Detection quoted so I set up an appointment. Josh showed up to do the work an hour late. I confirmed with him the pricing and he said that I was told the wrong information and that $250 was for the first hour with $145 an hour after that, but he usually found the leak in the first hour. I called the office and the manager never called me back so I effectively got screwed from the beginning. Inevitably, Josh did not find the leak in the first hour. I was trapped into paying more since everyone charges a high first hour rate so I told him to finish the job. He left to get his swimming shorts and came back to finish. After two hours he determined it was the pool light. He told me to shove putty in the fixture and it would stop the leak. Well, needless to say it didn't and now I have a leak AND a charge of $461.75 on my debit card. We are having a new liner put in and they supposeably guarantee their work at Mullin so I called and spoke to the manager. He told me he would be in touch and I ended up getting a call from Josh. He was rude and combative on the phone using statements like "it is what it is" and "I don't work for free." He made it very clear that he doesn't stand behind his work but that he would charge me $145 an hour to come test it AGAIN. After hanging up on me and I called the manager again at the office to tell him what happened and I have not received a call back. Please don't get taken by these people. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from Mullin.

Over the winter, we were having to fill the pool up on a daily basis (we keep our pool open year round). Obviously, there was a leak of some sort. We asked our pool service, Baker Pools, to look into it. He recommended Josh at Mullin Plumbing who had just been trained to do the pressure testing in the pool for the source of the leak. He was polite and timely. It took a full day to test the pool and everything was found to be intact, but he needed to return a second day to test the main drain. When he returned, he determined there was "some sort of leak" in the main drain, but could not tell what it was. He and Baker recommended that we just permanently seal our main drain. They felt that the drain for the spa would be ample for the pool. They also said to try to fix the leak was dangerous and the pool might be cracked. We thought that sounded ridiculous - really? Close the main drain to your pool? We have one of those self cleaning pools where the debris is swept down to the main drain and then out of the pool. If we closed the main drain, the cleaning system would no longer work. We called another pool company, Blue Water Pools, and he recommended American Leak Detection. They charged me $1,068.75 for the two days of testing. However, they determined there was a faulty plaster seal at each of the gutter drain wall fittings for the water fall suction system. Blue Water Pools fixed it and we have a pool where the cleaning system works and we still have a main drain. Using Mullin was supposed to save us money, but it ended up costing time and money because we had to hire someone else. It may be expensive, but call the pros, American Leak Detection. We would not use Mullin again for leak detection.

This man came out measured our pool and gave us an estimate. He was very professional in his business. He removed the old reliner, scrap the walls and floor of the pool to clean it of algae and mold. He then put in the new liner. He always answered our phone calls and our questions. He cleaned up the area after he finished and took away the old liner.
