Recent Review: Lee and his two helpers are the hardest working contractors that I have ever had the pleasure of working with, and I've been slowly remodeling my home for nearly three years now. Lee is very trustworthy, and he took the time to show us what his work would look like before he began. Overall, I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We had some difficult things to work around due to some less than stellar work done by a previous contractor, but Lee was able to make it work, and everything turned out great! I give him a hearty recommendation. We're planning a couple of additional projects with him already.

Recent Review: Very nice to work with. The installation could have been complicated, but Tom discussed options with the trim carpenter and they quickly came to a workable solution with no damage to the newly installed trim work. I would happily recommend this company to anyone needing to have countertops installed.

Recent Review: I had updated everything in my kitchen except for the cabinets so replacing them was not an option. These guys came out and installed new facing on the cabinet frames, installed new doors and drawers and installed trim and crown molding. They also replaced some doors in my living room. The cabinets look brand new and they are beautiful! It made a huge difference to my kitchen. The guys that came to the house were very nice and professional. I will use them again hopefully some day for my bathroom cabinets.

Recent Review: We bought a side-by-side refrigerator that just barely fit where we needed to put it; because of the tight fit we could not open the freezer door all the way. Instead of returning the refrigerator we decided to have part of the wall removed. My kitchen was a boxed-in little room and I had always wanted to and quot;open it up.and quot;Justin was referred to me by a friend of my son's; they all go to church together. I called him and told him what I needed and he agreed to come by and give me an estimate. When he arrived I showed him what I wanted done. Without using pen and paper, he estimated the materials within $5 of the actual price. He told me the project would take a day or no more than a day and a half. He quoted his daily rate, which I thought was quite reasonable. I advised him that I was notorious for making last-minute changes and I would expect to pay more if that happened (which it did, of course). Justin worked very diligently and quickly. My dad used to do a lot of remodel work, so I knew he would have to rebrace the load-bearing wall, which he did. He moved a light switch which was in the part of the wall he removed. He taped and bedded the new Sheetrock perfectly smooth so we could paint. He suggested a beautiful piece of oak as a threshold between the two rooms, now that they were more or less one room. What a difference!! He went the extra mile in that he took home a dining room chair with a broken rung and fixed it for us - without any extra charge. I cannot say enough about Justin's abilities, his manners, his soft, quiet speech and his humility. He finished the job for us on the day before his 41st birthday, so he's not a kid, but he was still very respectful to his and quot;elders.and quot; He was obviously so trustworthy that the second day he was here we left him here by himself to go to the grocery store. I would recommend Justin to anyone needing work done around the house. I have already talked to him about doing some work in a rent house we own - I have every confidence that the job will be done correctly, in good time, and professionally.

Recent Review: Overall I was very impressed with both Rick and his crew. He came out and gave me a timely, written estimate (he came out within about two days of my call, called me back within about two days with an estimate, and mailed it to me as soon as I said it sounded good). He was professional and very friendly. He came out with two guys who were both very professional and very polite. They worked on my house for almost two full days, cleaned-up after they completed a task, took all the trash with them, and generally did an excellent job. Rick not only did the work we had asked of him, but he actually completed additional tasks, at no extra charge, other than the cost of materials! Given that the work went quicker than he anticipated in his original estimate, he fixed my toilet, my door, and installed extra kickboards in a bathroom for no additional labor charge. The work he and his crew did was neat and well done, and I will definitely be hiring him for future tasks.

They sent out Arturo, who is one of their carpentry specialists. He arrived on time which was important because I had taken the morning off from work to go through the job with him. He recommended we go to Lowe's to pick up the supplies so I could get exactly the doors and hardware I wanted and it would also be cheaper for me. I bought the style doors I had in mind, good quality stuff that didn't break the bank. I told him I wanted every thing tight and sealed up nicely, and he did a good job. The job took a bit longer than expected because he had to deal with sizing issues on the old doorway, but I think he did quick and good work, and seemed to be very experienced. Labor was $528. I feel their labor rate was reasonable at $60/hour. Overall I am very pleased with his work and that I had this work done to my house!

BPIKES HOME MAINTENANCE
I needed a lot of work done I liked the fact that they basically act as general contractor for the job and hire specialists. The estimator was here on time and, while he wasn't the cheapest, his was the most comprehensive bid and covered what I needed. I later decided to add to the job and a different estimator came. He was equally professional and that estimate was also on the high side but acceptable considering the scope of the project. The painters were here right on schedule. They were friendly and helpful, moved the larger furniture very carefully and got everything carefully covered before proceeding. They did most of the work, including the power washing and were very quiet and careful of my plantings. The carpenters were also here when scheduled. They were less helpful and their work wasn't quite as careful. I did have to vacuum up a bit more than what they had done, but they were also quick and careful. The company representative who was appointed to my job was here each day to oversee the work and to confirm with me that it was being done as I expected. He came back on the last day to inspect and told me to call him if I found anything that wasn't right. There were a few small glitches - to be expected with a job that size. They were back within 48 hours and fixed everything to my satisfaction. There were even a couple of tiny things that were "extra" and they took care of them for me at no additional charge. The office staff also called to be sure I was satisfied before sending out the bill. Price was as agreed and everything turned out even better than I expected.

Jill is an absolute gem. She answers the phones and coordinates messages for incoming requests. Polite, personable and professional. Peter was prompt on responding to our requests to receive bids on several projects and ultimately completing one project. The first contact from Peter was immediate; and he sent one of their subs out to look at our most immediate need which was the window job. Unfortunately, perhaps a breakdown in communications or not sure, the gentlemen sent out were roofers and they "don't do windows - they could try, but I might not be satisfied with what they did. You need to call Jill back and get a carpenter or someone like that out here. Nice house - wouldn't want to mess it up." And oh by the way, "when was your roof installed? Do you need a roofer? if you ever need a roofer, here take my number and I will do you a good job. You don't have to call Jill back - you can - or you can contact me directly." Called Jill back and and advised her of my experience and let her know that we would really prefer having 3 projects bidded on so we could budget for the future 2 projects - we already had a general idea of what we expected window job would run so - is that a possibility? All 3 projects would require carpentry - no roofers need apply. Peter called me back immediately, apologized for confusion with roofers, and said he'd be there within 48 hours to go over our projects. Showed up in a timely fashion - discussed our needs, and within 24 hours via email received very detailed bids on what was discussed. Questions answered promptly and the window job scheduled. Questions related to materials needed were answered promptly and very helpful. Our particular job was not a typical job so creativity was required to get the results necessary and Peter was up to the task. Someone willing to think outside the box to solve a problem is very much appreciated, rather than have someone tell us "no can do as you should have done this and this when you originally had the windows installed." His attitude was "that we will find a way - let's see what we can come up with." Not, "well, this is gonna cost you because it wasn't done right the first time around." We provided trim; and other materials were brought by them - the charges for these materials were reasonable. Peter and his crew were on time - polite and professional. They checked with me to ensure what they were doing met with my approval - and I was quite pleased. They did not leave a mess for me to clean up - the job was done to our complete satisfaction and in a timely fashion. Also, one of the subs was a smoker - we are not. Usually, invariably, I will have cigarette butts to clean up after. Not a big deal per se, but if you're not a smoker, well, it can get on your nerves. I am asthmatic and try to avoid second hand smoke. Initially concerned that if he is working next to an open window, smoke smell would get into the home and that would not be pleasant. No need for this concern whatsoever. He smoked well away from the house so that no smoke entered into our home through the window he was working on. That's not to say he took frequent breaks that resulted in a job slow-down - no, I believe 2 breaks over the course of 8 hours were all that was observed. There were no butts for me to clean up after. This sounds picky - but we live on an acreage - high winds and smoldering cigarette butts not a good combination so it is very nice that this turned out not to be a concern for us after all. Several grass fires and one home lost to a carelessly tossed cigarette butt in our area makes us diligent. Additional helpful information was given to me as to the pros and cons of the trim materials used so I had the whole picture. This was appreciated as I might not have taken under consideration excess weight placed on the trim under the windows as we accessed roof area for hanging Christmas lights, or inspected for hail damage, etc., could result in it being pulled from the window - so the attention given to details appreciated. Follow-up was done within 48 hours to ensure that we were 100% satisfied with the job, including my husband's satisfaction. My husband was pleased - especially with the quality of the work completed and happy that he too, was not required to clean up or go behind and touch up anything not finished with the project. From start to finish, we were happy with the services provided. When we are ready to proceed with other projects they can assist on - we would have no reservations in contacting them again.

Very friendly people. When we first hire the there was a team of people. I am not for sure what happen but there was only 2 people left after a week of work. We were told the job would take a week at the most. They worked on our house WHEN they would show up from August until March. We were told they would mail us a chech for the work they did not finish that was 3 weeks ago. My daughters had to take up the wood floor they put down because there were huge gaps and when they took it apart they discovered that they had put female parts together. The stone wall they put up was suppose to be dry stack and staggering they put the rocks in a straight row up n down here n there and the mortar was everywhere. I am going to have to take it off and redo it. It looks horrible and we have had several large sections fall off the wall. I got these people off of Angies list but I was told by the worker that his family put them on Angies list and gave them a good reviews. I am nor for sure what happen but these guys are good guys but they can not do the work they act like they know how to do. We were told over and over they were going to come to work on this house so we would have someone in our family drive 2 hours to be here and then they would not show up. Or they would show up for 2 days out of the 5 days they said they would be here. Finally my husband told the owner to stop promising he was going to be here because he was sick of being lied to. We are Very very disappointed.
