Schedule to begin job was pushed back twice. Job was supposed to take 2 to 3 weeks to complete, but took over 6 months and we still have occasional problems we have to have taken care of. So many issues due to lack of communication among bosses to installers, improper installation, trying to cut corners and make problem worse or give unacceptable solution to problem especially with the top dollar price charged. Some issues - when countertop installed, dishwasher was moved and placed back. Door to dishwasher wouldn't close, plumber came to fix problem. He pinched a drain line replacing it which leaked thru the basement and when called to fix it stated he did nothing wrong and refused to fix it. He was so rude, his boss had to have him leave the premises and send someone else to do repairs. Due to poor scheduling they had to complete bathroom when we were away on vacation. We were told job was completed, but when we got home the toilet rocked side to side, the lights in the mirror rocked back and forth, the vessel sink spun around in a circle and the bottom of the glass shower door shattered all over the floor. After having to send several pictures to prove errors, we waited forever and got things fixed. Then the paint started bubbling & peeling on our brand new closet cabinet. They stated it was due to moisture - did they not know these were going into a bathroom where it gets hot and moist when people take showers? They actually proposed this idea to solve problem - lets put a baseboard over top of the bubbling baseboard and cover up the issue. After several arguments, Duncan finally got the cabinetmaker to fix things correctly. Then a few weeks later we notice mold coming through the paint on our newly constructed drywall. One again, Duncan tried to place blame on us, stating we must have water coming through the other side of our wall. We had to prove there were no leaks, as I never had any mold issues until they installed my bathroom. Part of the issue is because they choose not to use the proper drywall for bathrooms (is green in color), they use regular drywall because its cheaper. So to fix problem, we had to use a special spray on the wall, followed by a special mold resistant prime and then repaint our entire wall. For this, all they did was pay us for cost of materials and we fixed it on our own. These are not all issues, not even by a longshot, but the main things. Even with all the problems, the worst part was the constant battle to get things fixed, we always had to prove ourselves to them, that it was not anything we could have possibly caused on our own. It was a very bad experience. At the very least, they could have been more apologetic or reduced the bill a bit just to cover all the inconvenience. We would not recommend this company.
