Recent Review: Replace bathroom shower and tub surround, install shower faucet. Raub subcontracted all of the work. Had to call back because there was a gap next to the faucet, shower head installed at wrong height and tub faded after first cleaning. They eventually made it right after calls and a letter. They were more than another quote but I figured they would be worth it. I would not call them again for anything.

Recent Review: They did a really good job. He took his time. He knew what he was doing. I like the dry wall that kind of work was done really really well. Overall it just turned out great. The least about the service we had to reorder the shower door two or three times to get the right custom fit and I think there was someone had gone on vacation or something I don't know. There was a little issue but they got it right. We just hired him for another bathroom. The prices were good most of it was labor mostly.

Recent Review: It went very well with Joe's professional crew and his own hands on work and supervision.  He replaced my mantle piece with one he created himself.  I am greatly pleased with the result.

Recent Review: Mike and helper (Steve) worked for 13 days to complete this project. I am very happy with the results.  I ordered this bath remodel through Clinten Kellar from Carter Lumber in Cortland. Clinten Kellar assisted with the selection of the items for the bath remodel. He did a very good job. Very informative of what all was needed and what it would look like after installed.   I definitely will look to Carter Lumber for my next remodel job

Arnold arrived on time and was neat and courteous. He did a great job and was fair in his pricing. My husband and I are very happy with the way the shower/tub looks now. And....I play our new musical doorbell (Arnold's suggestion that we get a wireless one...) just for fun!

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE this company! Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in all my years. Their design consultation was terrible and resulted in a shower design that is close to unusable. Additionally, they ignored my major concern and installed an incorrect platform which will lead to water leaking outside of the shower when used. Instead of making the necessary corrections as they claimed they would, they treated me with utter disrespect, with the attitude that I should shut up, and accept what I got. They required 100% payment in full prior to start of work. This should have been a red flag! It leaves the customer helpless when the work is not completed correctly or to your satisfaction...and this appears to be exactly what they want! They clearly have no interest in a job well done, nor do they seem to be concerned with my dissatisfaction with the finished product. The installation is a complete disappointment. The work included a custom made barn-style shower door which was installed backwards with the decorative feature facing the inside of the shower NOT facing outwards as intended. When this issue was brought to their attention, they acknowledged it was incorrect and said that most people wouldn't notice. Several attempts have been made to work with them to resolve these issues and to date they have done NOTHING to make this debacle right! The company has not returned phone calls and is not a reputable business. The only reason they earned 1 star in this review is because you cannot provide a review with the MINUS 5 star rating they deserve. Please be warned! Do not let this company take advantage of you!

Schedule to begin job was pushed back twice.  Job was supposed to take 2 to 3 weeks to complete, but took over 6 months and we still have occasional problems we have to have taken care of.  So many issues due to lack of communication among bosses to installers, improper installation, trying to cut corners and make problem worse or give unacceptable solution to problem especially with the top dollar price charged.  Some issues - when countertop installed, dishwasher was moved and placed back.  Door to dishwasher wouldn't close, plumber came to fix problem. He pinched a drain line replacing it which leaked thru the basement and when called to fix it stated he did nothing wrong and refused to fix it.  He was so rude, his boss had to have him leave the premises and send someone else to do repairs.  Due to poor scheduling they had to complete bathroom when we were away on vacation.  We were told job was completed, but when we got home the toilet rocked side to side, the lights in the mirror rocked back and forth, the vessel sink spun around in a circle and the bottom of the glass shower door shattered all over the floor.  After having to send several pictures to prove errors, we waited forever and got things fixed.  Then the paint started bubbling & peeling on our brand new closet cabinet.  They stated it was due to moisture - did they not know these were going into a bathroom where it gets hot and moist when people take showers?  They actually proposed this idea to solve problem - lets put a baseboard over top of the bubbling baseboard and cover up the issue.  After several arguments, Duncan finally got the cabinetmaker to fix things correctly.  Then a few weeks later we notice mold coming through the paint on our newly constructed drywall.  One again,  Duncan tried to place blame on us, stating we must have water coming through the other side of our wall.  We had to prove there were no leaks, as I never had any mold issues until they installed my bathroom. Part of the issue is because they choose not to use the proper drywall for bathrooms (is green in color), they use regular drywall because its cheaper.  So to fix problem, we had to use a special spray on the wall, followed by a special mold resistant prime and then repaint our entire wall.  For this, all they did was pay us for cost of materials and we fixed it on our own.  These are not all issues, not even by a longshot, but the main things.  Even with all the problems, the worst part was the constant battle to get things fixed, we always had to prove ourselves to them,  that it was not anything we could have possibly caused on our own.  It was a very bad experience.  At the very least, they could have been more apologetic or reduced the bill a bit just to cover all the inconvenience.  We would not recommend this company.
