Recent Review: Kelli was SUPER helpful in explaining their process.  They have NO contract, just a monthly fee that you pay, like your car insurance bill.  You HOPE you never need to use it, but IF you do.....then it is sure nice to have that coverage.  Also, there is NOT a $75.00 service call fee every time you need to have a repair person visit your home.  Just the usual monthly fee, which is based upon your choice of available plans and options that you select when you sign up.  Basically, you only pay for what you need and you are not double, or triple billed for services from an UNknowledgeable or UNskilled service technician at a time you can least afford it.  Their service plans are clearly explained on their web site ((( https://www.completeprotection.net/ ))), and they also CLEARLY explain their limits on replacements on their web site as well.  Keep in mind, they seem to be more REPAIR ORIENTED rather than for REPLACEMENTS and if your item is too old or unworthy of repair, they will pay only a small portion towards a replacement item.  The small amount they do pay towards the replacement if you need it, is listed on the web site.  This helps to keep their fees down as well ! ! !  Another nice feature is that they have a list of repair companies that they will give you, so you can call and schedule your own repair, once you have a Repair Authorization Number from CAP.  The repair companies they suggest are familiar with the CAP process, and will bill CAP directly for the work.  Now if you have a favorite service provider that you prefer to use, that is no problem.  If that provider is unfamiliar with billing CAP, you can pay the provider yourself and CAP reimburses you within 10 to 14 days from the time they receive your bill.  (((Just remember to get the Repair Authorization Number from CAP BEFORE having your work done.)))  Also nice, is if you have an older home, they don't seem to have all the exclusions we read about from the other companies.       We have a home in Henderson, Nevada that we plan to rent out this fall.  We want the tenants to have reliable and trustworthy service folks available to them if they need someone.  We have read the horror stories on Angie's List, for some of the other Home Warranty options out there and some of the service providers as well.  (((You know the ones......service provider is called and MAYBE shows up when expected, or maybe not.  MAYBE they fix the problem for the $75.00 service call fee, maybe not.  MAYBE the problem is fixed this week, next week, or maybe not at all.))) Also, even though our home is new, we want to limit our financial exposure for any HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Appliance problems.  We live out of state, but still want our tenants to get quality service when necessary.  For us anyway, the choice is clear.  Complete Appliance Repair.   Oh yeah, and Angie's List of course !! Recent Review: Well our saga continues … My husband and I had another great job done by Goods Electric. This time Dannie and Jon came to work on our project. Both were extremely delightful to work with. In our first review, Goods Electric came to work on our 2nd floor duplex. This time they were working on both duplexes. The project list contained installing a stronger ventilation fan in the 2nd floor bathroom and taking the replaced vent fan and installing in the first floor bathroom. This also required placing the new vent to the outside, which meant they had drill through the brick side since the roof was out of the question. We live in an historic house so we were afraid our outside would have this big ugly vent cover ruining the exterior look. Dannie found a small cover that blends well with the brick and you can’t even really see it! We had some coax cable run to various rooms, a surge protector put on the first floor electric panel, and 2-prong outlets switched to 3-prongs. Another issue we came up with was the old wiring and we wanted to make sure all outlets were protected since my mom was moving in with us. Rewiring was way too expensive and our old wiring was in good condition, so Dannie suggested having GFI-protected breakers installed to cover the old wiring. We had that done in both panels and now we feel much safer knowing that the outlets, as well as the wiring in the walls, are protected as best as they can be. Again, all of this was made possible with Clarissa doing outstanding customer service! I would also like to mention how Dannie and all other Goods employees keep things very clean – even by using booties on their footwear. I think that shows how much they care about our property. We have another project in the works currently for replacing outside lighting and will also write about that after it’s completed. They are just the best company to work with and we can’t wait to get started on our next project. As a side note … we saw them at the 2017 HBA Home & Garden show in February and signed up (without hesitation) for their new Good Club which covers all heating and cooling needs. We knew they were starting a program and happily joined. Our first appointments for checking our furnaces and air conditioners will coming up in the next couple months and will also write about that. Thanks again to Goods Electric for continuing to make our home much nicer and safer!

They installed the system in our house.  They were running a $99 special when they came out to install.  They are johnny on the spot if there is a problem.  If your alarm goes off they immediately call you to find out the reason.

Gino is the bomb~~!!  This representative was professional and so helpful in presenting the monitoring system prior to the setup.  He explained in detail how the system would work, answered ALL of my questions, and had such patience even though he had another appointment to go to.  Then James came to the house to install the system and he was also patient, professional, humorous, kind, and efficient.  I am so grateful for the service and feel safer since the installation.  The $99.00 was for the setup (I believe) and then I will pay $44.95 a month for the monitoring.  I think the monthly monitoring fee could be lower and the extras that are available should be free since I am paying the monthly fee.  However, everything costs high these days and NOTHING is free. I recommend Guardian above other security companies because I have tried others and my experience with them was not good at all.  I do believe Guardian will do a good job.

Arrived right on time. Covered their shoes so they did not track dirt into the house. Very cordial and respectful of me. Explained everything very well. Completed the job within one hour. Made sure I understood how to use the gfi before they left. Very satisfied with the service. Will use Chiappini Electric again for electrical needs.

I am opening a new business and have been dealing with numerous contractors. Needless to say this hasn't always gone smoothly. I acquired a business suite with an existing alarm system. I called Guardian based on a friends recommendation and pleased that I did. The Guardian rep did a walk through of my site and offered a simple affordable solution. He was able to use all my existing equipment but only replace the keypad and brains of the system to give me the latest technology. I can work my system from an app on my phone. This has been a huge help, saving me time driving cross town to let workers in my site. When I got the system updated the salesman showed up and walked his technician through my site. The work was  done in a few hours and the technician  took his time to demonstrate the system to me and even helped me set up the on-line access. My sales rep called me twice in the first week to check on me. We have tripped the alarm by accident and Guardian has been quick to call and confirm the alarm. I am very happy with the company protecting my business.

FAULET'S ROOFING & SPOUTING
Our home needed to be rewired due to a lightning strike; the original wiring was old and not to code so it couldn't just be repaired.  The price was average for the work to be performed, but they were constantly asking for more and more money as the job went on instead of taking a portion as a deposit with the balance paid at the end.  They would frequently not show up for days (and a few times weeks) at a time, and when they did show up they would frequently leave after only a few hours.  They didn't complete the work; we have open walls and ceilings, and damaged walls and ceilings where errors were made and never dry-walled and painted.  They did absolutely NO finish work as far as the drywalling and painting, and even did damage to walls and ceilings, and cracked a couple of the new switch plates.  Of the wiring that was done we already have lights not working, switches gone bad, and the door bell which worked before now doesn't.  They put the wrong watt bulbs in the recessed lights, so now they're all yellowed from heat. They have advised us that they will finish the work only if we give them the last $800 first.  They quoted electrical and roofing, but there's NO way we will have them do the roof after this horrible experience.

AGood's Electric Heating & Air
When I called they first told me it may be a week, when I explained what was wrong and that I had no heat at the moment he told me he would have someone at my home between 4 - 4:30 pm. I was called by Brent (technician) to tell me he was on his way. When he got here the heat had come back on but I still wanted him to check. Before he came into my home he put on protective booties, introduced himself, gave me his card and told me he would give me a price up front before he started any work.  This company I highly recommend. They came to my home on short notice because they didnt want my family to not have heat (temp outside was 32/20 night). Brent the technician was very courteous and knowledgeable. I say kudos to this company and I will continue to use them and recommend them.   Sidenote:  Brent accidently broke a double clothes rack and didnt charge me due to the damage.  Accidents happen but to have a company take responsibility is refreshing.    Again I say Kudos.

FState Alarm Systems
After purchasing our contract, they had us sign an agreement that we would stay with them for a number of years.  They did not install or check the equipment, just started collecting money from us and monitoring the system.  The equipment started have intermittent communication errors sometimes for weeks at a time. This means it wasn't working.  They blamed the cable provider through whom we had our telephone.  The cable provider went above and beyond to ensure it was not them.  They sent people, laid new line and checked over and over trying to make things right.  Kudos to Armstrong Cable.  NOT to State Alarm.  They discouraged sending people and when they did they charged us.  The people would say "I don't know but I changed these two wires."  Then weeks or months later there would be communication errors again.  "The wires were backwards." And they would change them back. My husband was laid off and we had to move out of State Alarm's market area, selling the house.   State Alarm penalized us for moving out of their market area!!!  $540.00.  Not small change. They never solved our problem and served us inadequately.  Not only were we NOT protected, but they caused constant undue stress.  I would never recommend this company to anyone.  Also, the $540.00 penalty for moving for a job, provides a GOOD ARGUMENT for staying with a NATIONAL firm.  This was the first time that I did not use a national alarm company. I mailed them the check for $540.00. (under protest)
