Not valid with any other offers or discounts No matter where it is coming from, the best way to control subsurface groundwater is to install some type of perimeter drain system to relieve hydrostatic pressure. We install a customized system to fit your home. The groundwater is pushed into the drain system and not into areas where it can damage carpets, walls or belongings. The water drains by gravity into a sump pit where a sump pump discharges it out of the house. The best type of drain systems for wet basements is a type of drainage system that is a below slab perimeter drainage system. The below slab system requires the partial removal of the concrete floor slab and installation of drainage pipe and sump pump. It is believed that an under-floor drainage system is better because the under-floor drains are believed to relieve the hydrostatic pressure before the water reaches the bottom of the floor slab.

Recent Review: I did not get any other prices to compare to. It was a two day job. A day after it was completed, the sump pump alarm went off and it was malfunctioning. I left two voicemails Monday and someone called back later in the day. They came out Tuesday and fixed the problem. They were willing to work around my work schedule so I didn't have to take additional time off so I was please with that.

Recent Review: We contacted two companies to get quotes for waterproofing our basement. There was such a hugh difference in price (and we felt the one company was playing games with regard to their pricing) so we decided to join Angies list and see who else was out there. We were impressed with the reviews for Watershield and decided to contact them for a quote. The gentleman who came (Alan) was very thorough in his explanation of the work to be performed and he appeared to be a man of integrity - as well as the company. We accepted the quote and they came as scheduled approx a month later to start the work. The three man crew were very polite and cleaned up the area at the end of each day. As they proceeded with the job they realized we would only need one sump pump instead of two as quoted (Alan had mentioned that this might be the case). The foreman told us to contact the office and they would adjust our bill accordingly - which they did. Approximately six weeks after the job was finished we had a slight problem and contacted the owner, John.  He came the next day and resolved the problem (an hour away).

Reviews in Struthers to Encapsulate Crawl Spaces

AOhio Basement Systems
We'd just recently moved into our home, and right off the bat our basement flooded several times. We contacted a few companies to see what our options were, and got varying results. Ohio Basement Systems sent out a consultant to take a look at our issues, and they recommended an interior WaterGuard solution along the crawl space and the basement. We decided to go with them. Even though the solution was expensive, avoiding a moldy basement that could have a negative impact on our 2 year old daughter's (and our entire family's) health was worth it to us. Once the install crew arrived, they began their work and the foreman noticed that the source of flooding had come from an additional location that was not picked up during the initial visit. Obviously, knowing this was a very expensive solution to install and was a very significant investment for a family who had just moved, I contacted the office to discuss it, and the folks at Ohio Basement Systems ended up sending out a crew to fix this additional issue at no charge so that we didn't need to worry about future flooding. They kept in touch with me the entire time to make sure this additional work was performed timely and done to our expectations. I've dealt with a lot of companies since moving in, and I appreciated them standing by their work and doing everything they could to make sure we had nothing to worry about. This is what differentiates a company from a great company. Our move has been a stressful one, but the effort put forth by Ohio Basement Systems to take care of our water issues has put our minds at ease where our basement is concerned. It's tough to find people these days who will do a good job and stand by their work, but if you're looking for a company that will, my experience with Ohio Basement Systems says they will. Thank you guys.
