Recent Review: Two years ago I helped a friend of mine look for a wood/laminate floor for her kitchen. We looked, tirelessly, at eight different flooring companies (including the two big box stores). We settled on R.A.P. Floor Coverings, Inc. Selection was based on both the flooring product and price. Our salesman was Jeff Ewing, a veteran in the industry. He selected installers that were especially experienced in residential work. They did a fabulous job and we were very pleased. This year when I decided that my sorry looking kitchen floor needed a refreshing start, it was a no brainer to cut the chase and go directly to R.A.P. By nature, I am a shopper and this sole source selection is not a part of my norm. Jeff, however, presented me with a price that I recognized was fair. Again he made sure that I would be pleased with the two installers. The flooring for my kitchen, dining area, bathroom, hallway and two closets (including custom finished shoe molding) was completed in one day. It is beautiful. I strongly encourage anyone reading this to do yourself a favor and, at the very least, call Jeff Ewing for either a showroom or in-home visit to have a "look-see" and a price quote.

Recent Review: It went great and he did the initial repair on a short time frame as we were getting ready for a graduation party and came back later in the summer to do the other three areas with new tile. He was great to work with! Approx $1500 for lower bathroom/foyer (165 sq ft), about $700 each for laundry room and tub area (each area about 60 square feet), $50 loose tile repair and $250 to replace 3-4 tiles on a short timeframe.
Recent Review: I used Larry Walker tile in order to finish a ceramic tile floor that I had started a year or so earlier but had hurt my back and couldn't finish by myself. I made use of a coupon that was for six hours of tile installation for $150 with additional hours to be billed at $30 per hour. I had finished most of the floor myself, but the edges needed to be cut and laid and the grout work still needed to be done. After purchasing the coupon through one of the daily deals, I contacted Larry and scheduled a time (sort of). He wasn't sure when the job he was currently working on would end, but he figured the following week and would call me back. I had to call him back before I heard from him again. Eventually, we connected and set up a time. At the end of the job, the time above and beyond the coupon amounted to 15 hours (which seemed excessive to me) so the total for the job including the original coupon was $600. Overall, the quality of work was very good and they did a nice job cleaning up after themselves and even moved a few heavy pieces of furniture in order to do the grout work. All told it was a good, but not great experience. Again, I felt the 15 hours (on top of the original 6) was a bit excessive for the amount of work that was left. I was at work each of the days that they did the work, so I was not able to supervise and see what sort of pace they were working at.

The experience was great from start to finish. I got an easy estimate from mike who was very understanding of what my dogs had done to carpet. The price was reasonable considering it was for 935 square foot area. The installers were great. They were professional and very efficient. They really did an awesome job. The flooring looks great! I am going to use them in the future for all my flooring needs.

Great job. We had requested, from Angie's list, a list of previously satisfied customers. Based on that group of three companies we picked these guys. The work was outstanding and we give them an A++!

AMCCOOL FLOORS, Inc.
HE DID VERY GOOD WORK & WAS PROFESSIONAL. HE INSTALLED APPROXIMATELY 550-575 SQ FEET OF LAMINATE FLOORING. HE ADVISED WHAT MATERIALS HE NEEDED & CALLED A MERCHANT TO GIVE THE LIST OF MATERIALS NEEDED; WE JUST PAID THE MERCHANT VIA PHONE. THE MATERIALS WERE DELIVERED AND JIM & JERRY INSTALLED EVERYTHING. THE FLOORS LOOK GREAT AND HIS PRICE FOR LABOR WAS ONE OF THE MOST REASONABLE WE FOUND. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND WOULD HIRE AGAIN WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT!

The actual workers of this company are exceptional. They found flaws in the wood and determined it needed replaced. The problem was with the office. Because of the replacement of wood it took almost 6 weeks to install. Office would hardly ever return our calls on where we were in the installation schedule. There were times we left multiple messages and never received a reply for days.

October 7, 2014 RITERUG Flooring 6685 Sawmill Road Dublin Oh. 43017 I have just received a bill from Rite Rug for a job that began on June 14, 2014 with a completed installment date promised by Mr. Brock Buchanan, before July 4, 2014. The job order was for laminate flooring and accessories to complete the finished look and protection of the laminate installment. Two people began installing the floor on July 2nd. They finished the laundry area and dining room but ended up leaving with only half the front entrance foyer completed. They told me they had to leave because the last box of flooring they brought was damaged and unusable. During this conversation they made it apparent the floor would not be finished by the 4th of July. They, however, also assured me that I would get a call quickly once they explained the situation to Rite Rug and I would receive a phone call to schedule the completion of the job. When I didn?t get the expected call by July 7th I decided to call the customer service myself to inquire about the finish date. During that conversation I was told that none had been scheduled. I then told the associate that the floor was supposed to be done by the 4th and I expected it to be done by the upcoming weekend but she was unsure if that could happen. I received a phone call from her later that day and she said somebody would be by on July 10th to finish the installation. This time the installer arrived and found out that he didn't have enough molding or transitions to complete the project. He finished the last half of the foyer and used as much of the molding he had brought. But once again I was left with a floor that should have taken 4 hours at most but thus far had taken 8 days. Since the American Express bill was due on the 10th and I still thought Rite Rug would finish the job I paid the bill. I again waited for a phone call from Rite Rug to schedule the completion of the work but it never came. Again I took the initiative and I called on July 29 a full 19 days to find that it hadn't been scheduled at all. This time the rep promised to call me the next day for a reschedule. When I hadn?t received the call by August 1st 2014 I decided to call American Express to do a charge back because the next American Express bill was coming due, the floor was not complete, no one called to schedule another date to complete the job and by now I was not so sure I would ever hear back from Rite Rug. Quite frankly, I was also hoping to get Rite Rug?s attention because up to this point I received none. I had hoped they would finally have somebody contact me with an apology and an appointment to complete the work. What Rite Rug did was then recharge my American Express card plus interest for payment of UNFINISHED work. It was then declined by American Express for a second time so Rite Rug then mailed an invoice for the PAST DUE balance including interest. Obviously, your accounting department takes their job seriously.Sure wish your company would.

AAFFORDABLE CUSTOM FLOORING
I had shopped around with several companies prior to going with them. Renae Ozborne was so good that as soon I was done with her I didn't care about price anymore. A guy named Greg came out to do the estimate. He was professional and good about explaining the work being done. Great quality work.
