Recent Review: Ryan came out late on Saturday night. I had returned from being out of town for a few days and had no hot water. He determined that a new water heater was the best option. Promised that they would return to do the work on Wednesday morning and that it would be full day's job (we had decided to go with a tankless heater). Ryan and his team arrived as scheduled, put runners from the garage door to the basement stairs, and then carefully covered the entire stairway to the basement. While his team replaced the heater, Ryan replaced the disposal and completed the plumbing inspection. In doing the inspection, Ryan discovered the source of a long term problem we've had - insufficient hot water flow to the master shower, the cold water in the master bath sinks always starting out extremely hot, and the occasional incursion of hot water into the tank of the toilet. Across the years we've had multiple plumbers and handymen look into this - lots of theories (many that made no sense), but no real answer. Well Ryan and his team found the source of the problem and 2 days later, Ryan came and fixed it. With the plumbing inspection Ryan says we shouldn't need to see them for a year (except to replace the hoses to the washing machine which he highly recommended). I found Gorjanc a couple of years ago through Angie's List when I was looking for an HVAC contractor when we had an air conditioning problem. They were so professional and efficient, we decided to become one of their value customers, For a small monthly fee ($16), they're our on-call plumbers and HVAC guys. We get annual furnace and AC inspections, no service charge on calls and a 'value' pricing discount on all services. It's generally easy to get appointments when needed. They are on time, and call 30-45 minutes before to say they're on the way. If you don't call them, they call you when it's time for your inspections. If you have a house, you're going to have to call a plumber and HVAC company at some time. I can't recommend Gorjanc Comfort Services highly enough! We are very satisfied customers.

It's efficient, and QUITE!! So far I'm very very happy with the new pump and the service of Grand Slam Cleaning. They have been very helpful in getting things done for my pool. Not only do they clean weekly(at a reasonable price) They pressure wash and sell products used for the pool.

CHastings Water Works
Hastings is a solid company and I have used them in the past for pool closings. They have increased their price for pool closings by $150 in just the last 5 years, so I stopped using them. We had a leak in the pool when using the filter so called Hastings out to take a look. They were responsive, scheduled a visit in two days from my initial call. I had inquired on a quote in advance and they specifically said they would provide a quote before any work was done. They showed up on-time and immediately saw what was wrong and fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes. I did not ask again for a quote before he started the work because the work seemed like no big deal, put in a new PVC pipe and a Ball Valve. Got the bill in the mail and it was $239.90, charged $165.00 for just the visit. I'm sorry, but that to me is outrageous for 30 minutes. I called and talked to Hastings and they said that is the fee basically for any work 1 hour or less and the smallest that they would be anyone. Yikes! I told him that they should have communicated to me in advance that it would be $165.00 for any work done on the pool. The sales guy didn't seem to care at all and said that the bill would not be adjusted. On top of the fact that they charged $36.00 for 1.5" PVC Ball Valve which cost less than $10.00 at Home Depot $28.00 for a new pressure gauge which I can buy retail for $6.00. I am okay with mark-ups and making sure a company is payed fairly for its service...but I feel ripped off and they didn't care. So thumbs up for the service, just know that is not going to be cheap!

FARC Electric Inc
Terrible experience. Our warranty company has sent ARC Electric (Wellington, OH) to fix our pool pump twice. Both times have been bad experiences. First time, ARC never called, never showed up. I paid $125 through my warranty company, they assigned ARC, and ARC never called me to make appointment. I called them several times myself, and they never responded. I had to hire my own professional and then had to fight with warranty company to reimburse me the $125 because ARC never showed up. Second time pool pump broke, warranty company assigned ARC again. ARC actually called, set appointment, and pleasant guy came out to assess. Pool pump broken. He said he ordered new part. Eight days later and four messages later, they will not return my calls. Our pool has been leaking water for days, I have had hose in pool to keep water level up. Pool growing algae because we can't run pumps. And ARC won't call me back. I am currently going through warranty company again begging them to get me response, they just say that all they can do is email the company and wait for response from them. Terrible, terrible service at ARC, although the guy was very pleasant. They just don't return calls or have a timely response.

FARC Electric Inc
My husband called the company every single day for 4 weeks straight and never got a single call back from the company. Not a single returned call to give us an update. We ended up having to call the home warranty company to get any resolution. The customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. We were stuck paying the service call for the first visit, which was basically them coming out for 5 minutes to tell us the pool pump was broken (which we knew) and allegedly telling us they would order a new one.

AHastings Water Works
Hastings Water Works are good. Right now, we have a leak and they're in the process of working on that. They are extremely reliable and extremely good. I just can't say enough about their particular service. We've used them a bunch of times over the last two or three years and they've always been good. When they say they're going to be here, they're here. If you have any particular problem, they come right out. I don't have to wait days for them to come out. They've always been able to repair whatever the problem was, if it's a pool pump or anything else, so they're very knowledgeable in what they're doing.

AAmato Service Corp
I contacted several companies to come out to see why my heater was leaking and was discouraged by the fact that several never responded or some seemed so overpriced with their rates. Jim came out the same day I called and was not charging a service call for diagnosing the problem. The heater needed to be replaced and he was out the next morning with the new heater and had it installed in no time. There needs to be more service contractors like him! I'd highly recommend his company and will continue to use him for any future problems.

APro Pool & Spa
Our pool heater was leaking and the first guess was the heat exchanger was rusted through. Repair would have cost over $1000 and we began discussing simply replacing the entire heater for around $1500. As we talked Howard started looking more closely and said, "wait a minute, you may be the luckiest guy around". He discovered a small pipe holding the pressure relief valve that had a crack in it. He replaced the valve for about $150 when he could have easily ignored it and sold me a completely new heater for 10 times the cost. I really appreciate Howard's honesty and integrity, I will absolutely use him again!

AM & G Pools
I purchased a used Jandy gas pool heater for our pool and installed it but could not get it to fire up. I called M and G and spoke with Matt. He managed to work me into his schedule the same day and he inspected the unit and checked all the wiring for loose connections. Everything tested fine and after putting the heater back on line it fired right up. He explained the wiring and how the heater functions so I can check it in the future if the same problem arises.
