They did a beautiful job picking out the image in my head and making it happen. They had bring out a flat bed with plants and lay out a gravel path. They also cleaned up the landscaping at my second house. Everyone that walks by thinks it's awesome, they did a really good job. My favorite thing about them is that they listen to my idea and implemented them, they took what was in my mind and made it happen. I had trouble finding a landscaper that would listen to me. I think that is a big deal when it comes to landscaping.

My daughter wanted something more than an unappealing grass front yard.  She had some ideas about creating a low maintenance, but attractive English garden as her front yard.  The Oakwood Lawn folks transformed her vision into a pleasing mix of gravel pathways, perennial flowers, low shrubs, and even a wonderful piece of metal yard art. For snow removal, I can always count on the Oakwood Lawn folks to plow out our driveway so that we are not trapped on our hill.

Excellent experience! We have no complaints whatsoever, only good things to say.  We have recommended Chris to our neighbors and friends who need similar work done. He is an honest business owner, very hard worker and his team are long term employees that we could trust. They work like a well-oiled MACHINE and get everything done on time and to specifications.

Bruce Mantz and his crew can come to my house any time! Punctual. Professional. Meticulous. He didn't start the job when he said they would - he started it a day early which was fantastic!!! If you've ever had a contractor at your house before, you probably know that doesn't happen. At the end of each day they cleaned up the job site and didn't leave us with a mess. We told Bruce that he's the professional and has free reign as far as design went and to what he felt needed to be done...it is not a mistake to tell him that and then just let him do what he does. Now when we have company over there is a "WOW" factor when we show them our backyard - it went from being an eyesore to a work of art. We absolutely love it! He gave a lot of thought to what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. There were a couple of days that they weren't able to work because of heavy rains; because he knew that was a major problem for us, he drove 30 minutes north just to see how the water was flowing through our backyard for himself. When the rain cleared and they started work again, sure enough, he modified what he was doing based on what he saw. To date, we have ZERO problems with heavy rain water in our backyard anymore. Anyhow, in an effort to keep this short, if you want to hire a contractor that loves what he's doing and not just trying to make a buck, you can't go wrong with Mantz's Lawn & Landscaping, LLC.

I had to wait several weeks for a consultation, but Wes was friendly and knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. He provided estimates for all of the work, including a few options so that there were no surprises when we decided to make a change to the scope of work. His workers were prompt and friendly and completed the work on the original schedule even though the change we made added some work. They even used some spare dirt to level a patch where some trees had been removed a couple of months ago! Everything looks great and I'm very happy with the work they provided and the manner in which they provided it from start to finish.

ABEDE HARDSCAPING AND LANDSCAPING
Very professional and bit not really fast. He gets caught up in his work, at more than your location! However, in his defense, my retaining wall really wasn't time critical and I kept expanding the job, which he took on cheerfully. It ended with leveling and reseeding some uncleared terrain. I would use him again, particularly for hard scapping and retaining walls. That core work was exceptional and professional. Jason knows his business for retaining walls and we are very happy with the result. We have about 120 feet of retaining wal that varies from about 2 feet to 5.5 ft in an arc configuration. The rest of his work, final grade and french drains was fair, but has worked throughout the winter and spring without too much water build up. Clean up left some gravel in some areas of the yard, but he was trying to save the grass.

He first prepared the yard by removing part of an old wall made of railroad ties, and dirt so the wall could be built on the property line. The wall died into a hill at the beginning, and at the end. The finished product of the wall itself is beautiful, far more than a man has a right to deserve. He then correctly filled in enough gravel to facilitate drainage, and employed other methods so that there would be no pressure or unneeded demand on the wall in the future. The final work consisted of filling in the yard with dirt, and leveling it at a slight decline for added drainage. Everything was extremely professional, and left no doubt as to his skill and experience. I know of no other man I would trust more in the accomplishment of any work that he does in his business; even his employees harbor the same professional character in behavior and performance. I am more than pleased at the overall result.

Everything went extremely well, couldn't be happier with the results. The quote was itemized with the price of everything needed to be done. After we agreed to the quote his team was out quickly and got the work done in about two days. Bruce, worked hard and made sure everything was done right, even doing some things that were not on the quote. It's been about two weeks and the grass is growing in nicely, it will look great next summer. We have some other projects coming up and they will have our business again.

ASuperior Lawn Care & Home Improvements
We contracted with Donnie to remove and replace a deck and convert a newly roofed spa room into a three season room. Our scope of work was as follows: Remove hot tub-including electric disconnect. Remove and replace deck-reduce size to approx. 9.5x20. Reroute downspouts. Reshape back flower bed to conform to new deck footprint. Remove carpeting /replace. Wash walls with fungicide. Paint walls and ceiling trim. Caulk corners. Replace deck light and porch lights. Replace three doors: French doors to 3 season room, outside to deck, screen door to garage (locking storm door) Donnie quoted us a very reasonable labor price as we had specified that we would pay for all materials needed. Work began and they ran into some unexpected problems: water damage on exterior wall under siding required replacement of the entire wall and siding which was done at a reasonable price the same day. There were other problems which were also worked around at fair expense for labor. Donnie had some great ideas like painting the brick walls white to make the room look larger and protect the grandkids from scraping themselves on the rough brick and adding a lot of gravel under the deck to help drainage issues. If Donnie and his crew are going to do your project for you, book them now since their schedule fills up fast. The end product is everything we wanted and more.

Recent Review: We've worked with Wes and his team before and do love their work. I always appreciate Wes's enthusiasm and passion he brings in talking through the options and he is so knowledgeable. I trust him and appreciate his patience as we weigh the options. We also really liked the crew. It was the same crew that did work at our old house over three years ago -- it's nice to see that consistency and their attention to detail is great as well. They are professional and take initiative to show me the work along the way to make sure we are all happy before everything is final - I love this because sometimes other companies can seem annoyed that you'd want to check along the way. Diantha is kind and professional as well. While they are a bit pricier than other landscaping companies we've worked with / quoted with before, I feel it's definitely worth it as you will get high quality (and kindness) from them through every step of the way. We will look forward to our next chance to work with Marvin's!
