Recent Review: The Patio Room Factory built a new deck on my house and they did a fantastic job. From the initial contact to the end of the job they were very polite, professional and courteous. I get so many compliments on my new deck! I would definitely hire them again!

Recent Review: This was a large job and required cleaning on one day, sealing on another day, and staining on a third day. In temperatures of approximately 100 degrees fahrenheit, he was on the job and completed it professionally.
Very pleased with the job and their commitment to the schedule . First day's work was halted by thunderstorms, but they stll persevered through the rain to get as much done as they could given the conditions. While the delay pushed the completion back a bit, they still came out and finished it on a Saturday morning. Very pleased with the quality of the deck and the cleanup of the materials once they were done. Responsiveness to questions was virutally immediate throughout the process. They even took the time to file court documents since we ended up having to get a variance to be able to build the deck. Would highly recommend them for any project you need done.

FCB'S Fence & Decks
Thought I had made a good choice. However never finished everything that was promised. My deck stairs did not pass city inspection and now my fence is leaning. He said he stood by his work however I can't even get him to return my phone calls. Basically I am left holding the bag and having to pay for repairs out of pocket. If anything else goes wrong _ will be paying for those too since he won't even return a phone call. Don't pay till work is 1000% done. When writing up a contract make sure you protect yourself and get everything covered. You have zero guarantee because he will not call you back. The first time he misses an appointment or reshedules or fails to fulfill a promise _ let that be a sign on how to proceed. He never finished - his work failed city inspection- I have leaning deck posts before 1 yr has passed and he will not return my call. All the warning signs were there but I was naive and ignored them. He is not trustworthy or reliable. Do your research. Angie List is very good. Do other searches before you spend your hard earned money.

Excellent. Donnie and his crew treated my home as if it was their own - taking care not damage plants, over spray into pond or onto house, and making sure to thoroughly go over the job and make sure it was perfect. Worth the money if you respect quality work and want your house treated properly.

ATab Property Enhancement LLC
Tab was very responsive to my initial inquiry, and emailed right away. They made an appointment to come to my house within a couple of days. Trace came out and looked over my deck, and recommended due to its age and condition that I not sink money into superficial repairs that wouldn't be well supported by the deck structure long term. Gave me a detailed design with drawings and cost estimate for new deck and gazebo. I was happy with the responsiveness and the suggestions. I didn't do the work this year due to budget constraints, but I would definitely be comfortable with Tab doing the work based on my experiences.

ARk Deck Builders
The deck was a great value. He worked up the design and produced the deck at a very good price. I was going to do it myself but I just couldn't beat his price.

They accomplished the first two steps of the deck very professionally: they set 6"x6" posts 36" deep in concrete and then built the frame with bolts and joist hangers and screws. The foundation of the deck is built very well. The deal was that I wanted a deck built with screws; no nails. The floor of the deck was laid using a nail gun and then screws were added at each joist. The balusters were attached with the nail gun, starting with staples. When that went badly they switched to nails, but left the section of stapled balusters in place. The wood that Prather used was extremely poor quality. Several 4x4 posts were split when they finished. One 4x4 had 5 saw blade chips from the mill and they chose to use it anyway. Several of the floor boards are already split. There are several large knot holes in inopportune places on hand rails and floor boards. The steps to the ground were all 6.5" per code, except the last one was 11.75". They forgot to properly route a high speed data cable that was in the work area and chose to leave it laying across the deck and doorway. (Now it's my responsibility to have it reinstalled correctly). They also did not reinstall the siding properly around the deck work. At no time did Prather call into question our original deal of building with screws only. They just decided to leave it as installed. They did return and correct the siding issue. They replaced two floor boards that were badly split. They also raised the ground to make the final step navigable. Mr. Pather also decided to give me a 9.5% discount off of the original price to compensate for the issues. The Prather motto is "Quality work done right the first time." I do not believe that they lived up to that motto and I would not recommend them to my friends or neighbors.

ADeeCee's Mobile Power Washing LLC
He was very efficient and polite. I had a spider problem around the exterior and by cleaning so thoroughly, that was eliminated. The cement was pretty dirty and that turned out great. I didn't think the deck could be cleaned like it was. I had thought I would have to replace it. Looks awesome with the new paint I was able to put on afterward. I was so happy I hired Don to power wash my home. Feels and looks so clean. I will definitely hire him again.

I highly recommend Donnie. He was trustworthy and frank with his price and suggestions. He always kept us in the loop and sent us pictures of his work. ( He worked on our rental house; we live overseas). He stained and fixed our deck and fence. Touched up and painted our walls. Patched up the drywall. Driveway had a void underneath the concrete which he filled with dirt and reseeded. He changed all our locks, did caulking, removed large oil stain in the garage, hauled the furniture left on the curbside by former tenants. He went to Lowe’s and purchased all supplies needed to do the work. Any issues were resolved quickly with a positive attitude. He was a pleasure to work with.

AHALL'S FENCE & DECK SVC
Hall's delivered exactly what they promised they would. They did a great job cleaning up their mess when they were done. We got an estimate before the job and they charged me what the estimate was.

The footings of the primary support beam and ledger were installed on Day 1 (Thursday). Day 2 (Friday) was spent installing and leveling the beam. They notched the supports and bolted the beam on to them. It took some time, but the underside of the deck has a very clean look - plus it's solid. They also took the time to remove the forms for the footings, adding to the cleanliness of the deck’s supporting structure. Most of the joists were installed on Day 2 as well. The joists were spaced 16” OC rather than the code’s 24” OC making the deck extra solid. Day 3 and 4 (Monday and Tuesday) was used to place the mulch, framing, corner posts, and joists. It wasn’t until this day we realized that one of the posts came up in the center of the window. We all agreed both he and we should've seen that before we started, Lynn was kind enough to offer splitting the cost of making a little cut-out into the deck to move the corner post inbetween the windows. We didn't feel pressured either way but we decided to go ahead and do it. So Days 4 through 6 (Tuesday through Thursday) were spent pouring a new footer, extending the ledger, and laying the decking down. The railing went up Day 6 (Thursday) and was finished up along with the stairs on Day 7 (Friday). Cons: They placed a lot of the decking and wood supplies on the lawn without donnage leaving obvious spots where the wood piles were. Since it was a SHORT project, this didn’t matter too much and I’m sure if I had said something Lynn would’ve moved it in a heartbeat. It’s not a week later and the lawn has more or less recovered. Pros: It’s very obvious Lynn and Dan are craftsman who enjoy their trade and desired the job done right and well. They were both very professional, courteous, and respectful while at the house. They were also very good with our kids, patient, kind, and clean. Even though they had several other projects going, they made an appearance at the site every day and despite the change to the project they still finished within the original estimated 10 day window. They communicated frequently with one another about how to best accomplish something. They were thorough and meticulous. They took a lot of pride in their work which resulted in a deck we’re very happy with. The “bump out” while unplanned, looks planned and it’s the perfect spot for the grill.
