This is a follow-up to my earlier report on this company in which I gave it an "F" because the service technician damaged my refrigerator in the course of inspecting it. Using a different technician, the company fixed the original problem (at my cost) and replaced the door its other technician damaged (at its cost). Both were done promptly and well.

ADan Bittner's Appliance Repair
Very positive. He initially gave me suggestions, over the phone, of ways I might solve the problem. When that didn't work, he came out to my home the next business day and determined what needed to be replaced. He called several different parts suppliers to find the part that needed replacement. He returned to install the part as soon as he located it. Very professional, courteous, responsive. Will definitely use him again in future.

UPDATED AS OF 09/21/2020: The response from Right Away in response to my first review is not true. As of 6:30 pm on September 18, 2020, I have not received a penny! No refund has been received. I spoke to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office today. They informed me that this company has not returned phone calls relating to my complaint. Doesn’t it make sense if they could prove that a refund was issued that they would not let the Attorney General know? If and when I receive my refund that they owe me, I will write another review. But every word in my first review is accurate. If anything I was too nice! My issues was that the back wall of my side by side Kenmore Refrigerator/Freezer would freeze up and I would have to thaw it out in order for the refrigerator to cool properly. This company came out on 7/30/2020. They thawed out the freezer as I had done in the past, cleaned the coils, and said they changed the Defrost Relay. The cost was $256.00. This past Sunday the wall was frozen again and my Refrigerator was not cooling. I called David on Sunday and Monday. Each day I had a new excuse why he could not get out. After he promised to call me back twice and did not, I got him to guarantee that he would her between 8 am and !0 am. He did not show and he did not return my 4 phone calls today. I took off work to here for him but it does not matter. Additionally be aware of this company. The invoice is handwritten and the technician who wrote it out called this company 911 Appliance Repair. He told me the owner was going to change its name soon. Now his voice mail says Best Local Appliance Repair. I had to call Angie’s list and they tracked his number back to Right Away Appliance Repair. If you look at their add pay attention to the 69.95 service call that they will credit you if you repair it with them. They did that on their receipt. However, they not honoring their 90 day warranty. I just left them a message that I am turning this over to the Ohio Attorney General . Still no call back. Do not use this company.

Able to schedule appointment for us quickly. I was very impressed with the service representative who did the work, Andrew. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Andrew explained what was wrong and what needed to be done, and was clear and patient in answering my questions.

We had a 30-year-old GE refrigerator that wasn't cooling properly. We phoned this company because we had used them in the past. Even though it was Memorial Day, they showed up in a few hours, at no extra cost. The repair man inspected the fridge and blew air through it to clean it, and charged $150, which I thought was a little steep. The next day, there was no change. A different repair man came out and exchanged the freon. He thought this would solve the problem. The next day, there was no change. I immediately phoned the manager. He said with the age of the fridge, it would not be worth repairing. AND, he refunded every cent that I paid for the first two service calls. In the end, I thought they treated us very fairly, and I would use this company again if needed.

Technician was on time.  Analyzed and identified problem within 10 minutes.  Left and returned with needed part within 1 hour. Had job completed in 2 hours total, including picking up part.  I was expecting to replace a 14 year old unit, instead it was repaired at a very reasonable price.

My refrigerator was not maintaining proper temperature. The serviceman diagnosed it within a few minutes (broken motor). He had a replacement part in his truck, so the problem was fixed, and the fridge is cooling off nicely!

Service tech arrived within the first hour of the "window" that was given for arrival.  He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the failed part, and restored full cooling function of the refrigerator.  He was courteous and explained the fault completely.  He checked to be sure that there were no other issues.  I would use Rippe Brothers again.

Recent Review: Before I used them I called someone else and they said they can't fix it. I then found A Budget Appliance Repair on Angie's List, I called Budget and they came out and fixed refrigerator. He didn't make a mess and cleaned up everything.
Recent Review: Greg is always available when unexpected repair needs arise. This is the second time i've had a sudden fridge event where I faced loosing my food and he comes out as quickly as he can. While he was here my washer started making bad noises and I was able to have him fix that as well. He is friendly and thorough.
