Recent Review: My kitchen has not been remodeled since before World War II, so it was in need of some major updating. They were just wonderful. They strove very hard to work with my philosophy. They allowed me to do some of the unskilled work myself to save money. My philosophy is do it right, do it tastefully, and keep to the budget if at all possible. I had a slim budget, and they understood that I wanted to do the painting and flooring myself. We only went slightly over budget, because they were so careful to consult with me on everything. For instance, when we tore out part of the ceiling, we found rust on the pipes from the upstairs bathroom. They recycled and reused a great deal of the piping, and were able to fix the pipes for around $400, which was wonderful. The plaster in the closet was not vertical and not straight, so we had to knock it out and put up drywall and insulation, which could have been costly, but only added around $100 to the total. We talked about whether every setback was necessary to fix, and they discussed all changes with the budget with me at length. I worked with the same two men for both projects, and they were extremely good about communicating with me. Both had very good taste and also worked hard to suit my tastes as well. They were fun to work with, and the project turned out beautifully. I was extremely happy with them and will use them in the future.
