Recent Review: Start to finish 15 min. including reading instructions. Tip: when draining tank, take lower nut off then place bowl under bottom of tank. then raise old guts (fill), let tank water empty. Quicker than sponge - a lot less messy.

Recent Review: Disconnected old and installed new gas water heater. Plumber was polite and seemed to know what he was doing. Install went fine and in a timely fashion but there was a problem when the plumbing inspector did the inspection. I did not have an expansion tank on my system and was told by Workman and Sons that it wasn't needed. WRONG! The installation did not pass inspection. The inspector called Workmen and Sons and so did I. I bought an expansion tank and the plumber returned very quickly to install it. I expected they would try to charge me for the return trip but they didn't. They installed the tank including any necessary fittings at no cost to me. Although they should have known to install it in the first place I'm satisfied with the way they solved the problem.

Recent Review: He showed up on time, was polite, and very reasonable. He had the gas lines installed and my appliances working in as little as four hours. I was very amazed at how quickly he worked and how wonderfully it turned out.

Recent Review: They were good, came immediately and did what I needed to get done. I was very pleased with them. I like them because they came and I was working so my sister called them and she said that they came within a couple of hours from the time she called. They were in and out in 30-45 minutes. They're very reliable, quick to come and they're very good people.

Recent Review: The workers arrived promptlyou at 8:30 on Monday, May 4. Because the furnace was located in a closet and access to the ductwork was in a crawlspace. They elected to remove the furnace and use that as access to the crawlspace. In order to do this they removed the water heater and then wrestled the unit out of the closet. They removed the duct work from the crawlspace and measured for new. Before leaving they replaced and hooked up the water heater. On May 5 they replaced the ductwork under the house. The other days we're spent installing the units which& required reinforcing the floor under the hot water tank, moving the gas line to the tank and replacing valves on it. A floor was constructed for the furnace unIt and completing the install of both furnace and ait coition ingredients unit. Everything was complete by 4:30 on May 8. I found everyone from General Heating to be prompt, polite and nice to work with. If they had to leave to go work on something, they told me approximately how long it should take and were back in that amount of time. I felt comfortable leaving them in my house to run errands.

Great Job! Hard workers. Will use them again. This is the second job they have done for us. The first was a total bathroom remodel. It was wonderful. They installed a new floor, new shower and ceramic tile floor. Also painted and put up new ceiling light.

This crisis happened when I was out-of-town, and my family had to deal with a toilet tank that kept over-filling and then draining to the bowl. Water was everywhere, and no one at home could stop the flood.  I made calls to plumbers while the family cleaned up the water as best they could.  Steve arrived and got the tank fill system working properly, and he made sure the drain was clear and free-flowing.  This wasn't an exotic repair, but the work as done QUICKLY and CORRECTLY.  The cost of service is estimated -- I'm guessing 1-1/2 times a one hour minimum.  Rob Smith will send me a bill. Thank you, Steve and Rob!

My situation was old system was packaged unit and fit in small closet under steps in house.  Change in freon required larger unit for same cooling/heating capacity.  While other vendors were back and forth with the options and none was really able to come up with a good solution Generel Heating and Air immediatlely knew what was needed and provided me wiith a great solution.  Now with compressor in garage there is no compressor related noise in house (even thought new compressor is much quiter then my old one). They did a very neat job.  All equipment is installed in such a manner that it can be easily serviced if needed. And all is woking very well.  They were prompt, friendly and professional.  I would definetly recomend them to anybody that asks.
