Recent Review: This service call was for one of my occupied rental units. Matt returned my call promptly and was able to schedule a service call for the next day. He quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem (gas oven ignitor). Picked-up the part and installed the next day. Cost was reasonable...what I expected.
Recent Review: Went well. I called Total Appliance and they were able to schedule me within a few days. Brian showed up on time. I had another repairman at my home who I was finishing up with and Brian was still able to get to work in a quick and workman like manner without my supervision. He removed the oven's shelves in order to access the the ignitor and replace the part. He replaced all the shelves and turned the oven on to make sure it was working properly. He worked while I was in another room and when complete he showed me what he did and explained why my old part ( which was 14 years old) failed.
Recent Review: HAD TO MAKE A SECOND TRIP WHEN HE DIDN'T HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PART THE FIRST TIME. SECOND TRIP OUT TURNED OUT TO BE A QUICK REPAIR. FELT THE PRICE FOR LABOR WAS A LITTLE HIGH, BUT NOT OUTRAGEOUS FOR THIS TYPE OF WORK. THEY ALL SEEM TO CHARGE A LOT. THE REPAIRMAN WAS NOT FRIENDLY ON THE FIRST VISIT BUT MUCH MORE FRIENDLY AND TALKATIVE ON THE SECOND VISIT, PERHAPS BECAUSE HE HAD BY THEN DISCOVERED I WAS AN ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER? ANYWAY, SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING AND I WOULD USE HIM AGAIN. WISH I WOULD HAVE CALLED THEM TO REPAIR MY DISHWASHER A COUPLE YEARS EARLIER. IT NEVER DID GET FIXED CORRECTLY BY THAT SERVICE PROVIDER.
Recent Review: Ebel's was contacted by the appliance store that sold us the new wall oven. The company called ahead early on the morning of installation to inform me when installers would be arriving, providing a 2-hour window of time. The installers arrived 1 hour into that timeframe. The two young men that did the installation were quiet, polite, and efficient. Since the new oven was the same brand/type as the one we were replacing, it fit without any adjustments. The entire process from unboxing the oven until they left was only 30 minutes. We felt the price was fair. Based on this first experience with Ebel's, I would use them again.

Did a detailed diagnostic of a double-wall oven that had been giving us problems. They did not recommend doing significant repairs. Technician was a little late for the appointment, but otherwise we were very happy with the overall experience. Price was exactly what they had quoted us, which we felt was fair for the amount of time he spent examining it. All in all, a good experience.

Came out in August to fix our wall oven. "Dan" the Owner said it was the "board" that needed replaced and it would be costly. Said he would call us in a couple of days with a quote. He never did, so we called him again and he said "someone was supposed to call you with the price". Said he would look into it and get back to me. Well, he never did, so we called him again and this time he tells me he is going to "pass" on the repair job. His reason: The whole unit needs to be removed from the cabinet and since he works by himself he is unable to handle it alone. BTW we already paid him for the diagnosis and it is supposed to go towards the repair. So I have to wonder if that sad excuse is true, and since he knew it was a double wall oven, make and model all up front, why didn't he "pass" even before he came out? Instead he jerked us around with the promise of a quote for a week. I will say he did mail us our check back. But I also must say he got the diagnosis wrong. We ended up having the the oven fixed by Mr Appliance and it wasn't the super expensive board.

I had hired Fred's in the past to do some repair work on an appliance under warranty, so contacted them when my oven stopped heating. They were able to schedule a technician promptly and he arrived on time as scheduled on a Tues. Technician appeared knowledgable and diagnosed the issue. A part had to be ordered and he scheduled a return on Friday. Part arrived and technician replaced it. Oven seemed to be heating while technician was here. However, later in the day, I was trying it out on various settings and found it still wasn't working properly. Called and technician was scheduled for a return visit on Monday. He found the issue, explanation appeared plausible, but had to order two additional parts. Came back on Friday, replaced the parts and now oven is working fine again. To make up for the frustration of needing four visits to complete the work, Fred's only charged me for the service call, first part and labor to replace it. No charge for the additional two parts. I appreciated that customer service mentality.

Flushed mounted oven pulled out of cabinets. First repairman couldn't get it back into place. Called for help (Mike) Was told my cabinets were cheap and they couldn't get the oven back into position. If I didn't like it he (Mike) said that he would be willing to leave with oven not secured to wall.Because of this repair is the reason why I joined Angie's List. I do not want this to happen again.
