Recent Review: After several visits to a large showroom and slab yard, we visited the Granite Guy’s showroom to pick out a possible replacement for our laminate countertop. I found that everyone was very helpful and provided good input and thoughts about what might be a good fit in my kitchen. I worked with Cody, who always addressed my concerns and had great ideas about what my kitchen could look like. When I found the perfect piece of granite, Cody was nice enough to put the slab on hold until I was ready to move forward with the installation. He was so good that I ended up replacing my bathroom vanities as well. After the installation, I had several concerns, and Josh was quick to address them and fix any minor issues. The Granite guy was great! I never felt any pressure to purchase or that the team was in a hurry. I truly love my kitchen and my granite composite sink. If you're thinking of getting granite, go to The Granite Guy and ask for Cody!
Recent Review: The process of getting a new kitchen was explained thoroughly by our project manger, Bruce. He stepped us through what we needed to do to get things rolling which could have been scary, but our fears were put to rest. Choosing the cabinets, floor tile, appliances, lighting, sink, and countertop went smoothly. Appliances were purchased and delivered on time using a recommended distributor at better prices than the big box stores. The work crew was fantastic. They cleaned up before they left for the day and let us know what time they would start the next day ... They always showed up on time. We've never experienced such professionalism in a work crew. They obviously cared about the quality of their work. We would unequivocally recommend KBD.
Recent Review: Very helpful in design, wood selection, color selection, countertop, and hardware very in tune to our wants and needs. Craftsmanship way beyond our expectations. Attention to detail unmatched!

Recent Review: LEO, THE OWNER, CAME OUT TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE ON REFINISHING A BATHTUB, AND TWO SMALL SECTIONS OF COUNTERTOP. HE WAS ON TIME AND VERY POLITE. HE GAVE A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCESS AND WAS UP-FRONT ABOUT THE LIMITATIONS OF HIS WORK. I WILL BE SCHEDULING FOR HIM TO DO THE WORK ON MY TUB ASAP, HOWEVER, THE PRICE OF REFINISHING THE COUNTERTOP SECTIONS WILL BE PROHIBITIVE IN MY CASE. THERE IS A COUPON ON-LINE.
Recent Review: Steve gave accurate estimate and work was done in a timely manner, after signing contract. It was a large project, which only took 2 days to complete. Very pleased with product performance.
Recent Review: No other granite fabricator could deliver countertop in time frame that we needed it to happen. Other fabricators were not able to deliver for 4 weeks or more. Walter was very courteous and showed us remnants that would fit our new cabinet, along with several choices for a sink. Template was prepared in 3 days after first visit as promised. Technician was on time. It took about 75 minutes to produce a template in electronic format. Countertop was delivered 4 days later as promised. Installers arrived on time and finished in less than 2 hours. Our countertop was not a perfect rectangle and the installers made it fit so that the new top hid the deeper side as good as could be expected. The side and back splashes were cut so that the pattern in the granite flowed up, into the splash. Nice detail! Then they caulked the joints and sealed the granite. All workers cleaned up before they left and there was no dust from the drill that cut the faucet holes. Note: If you pay by credit card, expect to pay a 4% convenience fee.
I purchased my countertops through Menards. Chuck Caston was one of the contractors that Menards offers when you purchase through them. I did contact more than one of their contractors. But Chuck Caston seemed more professional and accurate with his measurements. Although he was the most expensive contractor of those we interviewed, we chose him because he offered to deliver with his services and would dispose of any materials we were no longer needing. We did have an issue with our countertop being damaged by the store. I was glad to have Chuck there to let us know what had happened and how to get it fixed. Once our countertops were re-made he was able to get us in quickly. Chuck had a partner with him to help him install the items. It all went rather smoothly until the plumbing didn't match the new sink. Chuck went to a nearby hardware store for the parts. He tried to do a quick fix. After he left I noticed it leaking. I called him. He did come out to fix the leak and quot;the right wayand quot;. I also noticed that one of the countertop edges had been scratched. He resolved both of those problems in the second visit and only charges me for materials that day. I had to have him out for a third time for leaking. I was not charged this time. He tightened some areas. So far all has been fine. Overall, I did pay a higher price than was quoted. I wish he would have and quot;done it rightand quot; the first day with the plumbing under the sink. Instead of having me pay for two trips to the hardware store when he was and quot;trying to make it work with what I had from the last sinkand quot;. Using the diamond sander on the countertops made a mess of gritty sand in the house that I had to clean up. Honestly though, I was comfortable having Chuck in my home. He did a nice job. He was easy to contact and discuss any concerns I had. I would recommend him. I would just advise the potential new client to set aside some extra cash for those times when things don't go as planned.

After six months of research and receiving quotes from several other companies I found Granite Direct. The first time talking with Carolyn was such a positive experience. She was so willing to help and she gave me a couple different options that would fit our needs. Her expertise and enthusiasm were so greatly appreciated. We replaced countertops in two kitchens and the master bathroom. The person that came to do all the measurements was punctual and professional. The installers were amazing! They were meticulous and very professional. The countertops fit like a glove and look beautiful. They look so nice I have not even thought about a backsplash yet. Our experience with Granite Direct was definitely worth all the research and time! I would highly recommend this company. Thank you Carolyn!!!

The kitchen has remained mostly untouched since it was purchased 35 years ago and we are still uncertain how much money/effort to put into a remodel prior to selling. Jake was very patient and gave us helpful advice from his experience both as a remodeler and as a realtor's son. Much of his advise was actually not to his benefit - for our purposes, he thought we would be better off doing less than more. He detailed various options we could pursue and their benefits. This included doing nothing (which he thought might be the best route), replacing our outdated countertop vs replacing the countertop and refacing the cabinets as well. He spent 2 hours with us, gave us a lot of general sales advice during this time along with going over the more popular styles/colors that would be widely appealing. His countertop product (engineered granite) is unique, something we have not run across before. The available colors/patterns are not as varied as regular granite or other stone options, but there do seem to be benefits, including better stain and damage resistance - he also backs the material with a 10-year warranty (lifetime if the purchaser doesn't transfer). As far as cabinet refacing, this was the first time we really learned about it, so we don't have much to compare to, but the process seems like a good cost-effective alternative to cabinet replacement. Rough quotes included $4000-6000 for countertop replacement alone and $12000-15000 to reface/refinish cabinets, replace countertops and add new backsplash. He didn't take measurements, but we have approximately 60 square feet of countertop space. We still are in the process of deciding what to do, so not sure if we will be using his services. We were impressed by his experience, professionalism and courtesy though.

We had old Formica countertops in our kitchen with new cabinets. That didn't look so good, so we called Countertop Connection for new ones. Their staff was very professional, showed us all types of material we could choose from and gave us a really good estimate for granite countertops. Their men installed the countertops about 4 weeks after the work order and had it done in about a days time. My kitchen looks so much better. We should have done it a year ago with the new cabinets.

Instead of buying new cabinets, we decided to replace the countertops with new granite countertops. Lowe's was there each step of the way. We saw all different types of materials and grades. We decided on a gray granite and we couldn't be any happier. They sent people out to measure and about two weeks later we had our countertops installed. Their staff is great, knowledgeable, courteous and professional all the way.

The in-store countertops contained a lot of flaws and I had to accept one that had the least and reglue it. The island top that was special ordered was of very good quality and the kitchen staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff person had to go through three fabricators to find one who would make my counter to non-standard specs. The delivery was on time and the price was good. One year later in August 2011, I had to order a countertop for a work station and found the process to be more difficult. Lowes now only had one fabricator and the counter had to be made to standard specs. I could live with this but the counter top ended up being more than the one I had purchased 12 months earlier and it was done in two pieces instead of one.

.They did a really good job. I feel the installation could have gone alittle bit better. I shopped around and they matched a price I showed them so that was really nice. All together I really liked the service I got. The quality was really good. minus that one little thing. I definately going to use them again as they are going to start a new job for me here soon.

Pleasant transaction overall. No pressure sales in show room. Estimator showed up when scheduled, and actually identified I had purchased wrong size sink for the application it was to be used in (saved big headache). Installers showed up on time and were professional. They all owned Boxer dogs like we do and didnt mind my helper slobbering on them while they worked. After the months of work I put into this remodeling project, these countertop were a perfect finish.

We picked out the granite slabs and they sent a gentleman to completely measure. It is a complex kitchen arrangement and they made a pattern for it. They gave us suggestions on where we should make the breaks in the seams. They cut the stone and brought it out. They did a wonderful job of matching like a river throughout the kitchen granite. It made like a river pattern and they connected it through all the pieces beautifully. They were very professional. It is absolutely gorgeous and we liked it so much we had them come back and do the two bathrooms. They were wonderful and it was fabulous. They were helpful in picking out the design and pattern that we wanted and choosing the granite. They were very professional when they were here in our home. There were three men here. The gentleman who laid out the pattern came back to make sure everything was right as they were installing it. We were very pleased. We had several people come out for estimates and they were not the cheapest but they were the most professional. They were very responsive and we would absolutely use them again.
