Every contractor that frames a house claims they can do drywall. Not always true! If you want save money and someone tells you they can do it cheaper. This is your notice of warning in drywall cheaper usually mean sub standard work. Then real good drywall professionals done want to fix someone else's screw ups. Get someone in the drywall business only to do your work. You may pay more but you won't have the nightmare and regrets when it's all done wrong. Shrock was a family crew. I think the sons all split up and started separate company's. They are all excellent drywall finishers.

ADo It All Construction
Chad accompanied his crew everyday. They worked consistently and finished the project in a timely fashion. Workers were polite and friendly. Chad was thoughtful and offered suggestions, ideas and good advice. His crew cleaned up everyday when they quit. His charges were fair and slightly less than his original estimate.

These folks aren't cheap, but the work is done well. When a wall starts to crumble, it's time to act. Getting estimates done takes time. The eyebeam looked very insecure. Drake's were between jobs. Roy Drake arrived very fast to give his take on the problem. His comments were not over dramatized. But none the less I knew I had to hire someone fast. He was back in less than one hour with a contract with job cost. He also brought a jack to place under the most vulnerable area. I knew the job would cost a great deal of money. The first wall was a $ 12, 600. job. The second wall was discovered to need prevention treatment only after a wall of shelving was removed. That wall was set up to cost $7, 600. He advised I not park my vehicle in the garage under the house where the walls were located. French drains were installed. Huge ditches were dug along the walls. The weather was rainy so concern was taken to wait to continue when it was necessary. The original material of gravel and pipe was removed. The house's first owner installed a French drain, but the pipe filled with mud and the drain could no longer function. A new wall was built . Good quality cement blocks were used as well as rebars(sp?) placed along the wall in various places. Cement was poured into the block holes. The lawn was responsibly torn up with many heavy equipment vehicles. Six men were on the job at all times all of them busy. Each with several skills. Another ditch was dug along the second wall. When all the ditches were filled with new gravel and new soil the ground was leveled covered with heavy cloth and mulched. The yard was also leveled spread with grass seed and straw. These people are considerate. All the wooden shelving including the nails was hauled away plus many other items I had wanted to dump. My garage could be the location for a cotillion by comparison to it's old look.

ASouthern Grove Landscaping
Richard was very thorough in laying out options when he visited initially. The written price quote arrived in a very reasonable time. The job was completed on time and done very professionally. The lawn showed no sign that a crew had even been working - no trampled grass, no extra dirt laying around.

AThe Foundation Specialists, LLC
Fadi and his son Sam are very nice guys. Both were very mannerly and friendly. They were always on time and did a full days work. Our full size basement was in terrible condition with bowing walls and water coming through, Fadi corrected the bowing walls with steel I beams, drainage system and installed a sunk pump plus more. The pump has worked great with all this torrential rain we've had. Our basement hasn't had any water in it. We have not notice any movement of the walls. him. Fadi left our yard looking very nice. We highly recommend him. Fadi's estimate was less than half the amount of other estimates.

Installation was very quick and clean, less than 4 hours. System is designed to take care of cracks and bend over a period of time while also stabilizing the wall. Adam and his crew were great to work with and did a great job.

The porch and windows look great. He worked on the hole in the brick wall and it looks great. My neighbor said he could not tell it was repaired. He completed the work in good time and was very responsive.

CGr Warden Construction
We hired G.R. Warden Construction to do the framing and electrical work as described above. We had lined up a different contractor for the finish work including the installation of drywall and the and quot;muddingand quot; of the drywall. But, on the day before Mr. Warden was due to arrive, the drywall person cancelled and suggested we have Warden do it. I called Mr. Warden and asked if he do do the additional work. He agreed, but indicated it may take some time for an appointment to open up as he was booked for the immediate future. I accepted that response. Mr. Warden and his assistant arrived for work the next day. on time, and did the framing and electrical work as expected. I have no qualms with the quality of his work. When he completed the work I asked about drywall work. He again told me that he could not do it immediately and would and quot;be in touchand quot; but gave no specific indication of when he could return. I offered to pay Mr. Warden for the time and materials on the work he had completed so far. He told me that it was not necessary. He said that I could pay him when he came back and completed the work. This suggested to me that it would only be a matter of days or perhaps a week or two until he could free up time to do the drywall job. That was the last time that I saw Mr. Warden. I contacted and spoke with Mr. Warden on the phone on the following dates. In each call he told me that he still did not have time to come back and would call me when he could. 4/26, 5/3, 5/9, 5/14This was now nearly a full month after the initial work had been performed. I received an invoice from Mr. Warden on about 6/22 dated 6/19. This was a full 5 weeks after our last converstation and 8-9 weeks after the work had begun. Mr. Warden did not call me nor notify me that the monies would now be due and that he would not be doing the drywall work. But, given the time that had gone by, I decided I could not count on Mr. Warden to fulfill his promise. I found someone else to do the drywall project. On July 6th I received a second invoice. This one was dated 7/5 and included 1.5% interest. This date was immediately following our area being hit by a tornado. I had incurred unexpected expenses related to the storm and my automobile. I made plans to pay the bill as soon as I received my next paycheck. On 7/13 Mr. Warden called me and asked me about the invoice. He was angry. I told him that I would pay him the following week when I got paid. I expressed my dissatisfaction with Mr. Warden's follow-through regarding the drywall and that I felt charging interest on these monies was inappropriate given that he had told me that it would not be due until he completed the drywall project. Mr. Warden was rude and unprofessional. He accused me of never having planned to pay the bill. He said he had and quot;done me a favorand quot; when he did the electrical work on top of the framing work. (I don't know where that complaint was rooted as the electrical work was always part of the work that Mr. Warden had been hired to perform). I ended the call saying I would pay him as soon as I had been paid which would be approximately one week. In summary, I found the quality of the work that Mr. Warden performed to be of excellent quality. But, his professionalism and customer service skills were well below par. He should not have agreed to do the drywall project if he was not going to make any real effort to come back. He certainly should not have treated me like a bum regarding payment after the lengthy delay that he had caused me. Incidentally, I delivered a certified check for the original amount the day after he called me. I did not pay the interest and I would not hire him again.

They did all of this work with minimal damage to our yard, even though they had to bring in large equipment. We highly recommend them because they were so easy to work with. He did a great job cleaning up, provided a lot of feedback to us, and was very upfront and honest. The estimate was right on, he did?t go over that price at all. Their price was very comparable to others prices. He used very high quality stone. He is a great guy and provides excellent service.
