Recent Review: Contractor showed up and talked a lot. Charged me 100.00/hr labor which he spent most of the time talking about personal life. Over charged for parts as well. 20$ each for couplings, washers etc. 500$ for motor. I did not receive an estimate for approx charges. After 3 hours, hot tub was fixed and I have a 1500.00 bill. Very disappointed in business practices and unbelievable for parts/labor charges. I would never use this company again and def would not recommend.
Recent Review: EXCELLENT. Paul Coes came right away, nice guy to work with, honest, knows exactly what he's doing and reasonably priced. This is not the first time Paul has done plumbing work for us; he's installed a new toilet, correctly diagnosed that Jacuzzi was not the source of an old leak. We previously thought the Jacuzzi jets were causing a leak, so we would never use jets in the Jacuzzi. Apparently, after Paul crawled into attic crawlspace and correctly diagnosed and confirmed, the leak more than likely stemmed from the old shower, which was replaced two years ago!!!!
Recent Review: Gary, the owner, did a great job in getting my 10 year old hot tub working again. Last winter, my hot tub stopped working and I had a local hot tub establishment come to check it out. Because it was winter, I was told that all that could be done was to winterize it and wait until spring to fix it. This local service man complained the whole time he was winterizing my hot tub and chastised me because my hot tub was sunk in my deck (a previous home owner did it, anyways) and told me that it was going to be hugely expensive to fix the tub because the hot tub would need to be lifted out of the deck even though there was a trap door to get to the mechanics. I felt like he was trying to let me know that I should just buy a new hot tub from them. I was so upset about how I was treated by this local company that I wanted someone who didn't sell hot tubs and could do the work at a reasonable price. That is when I found Hocking Hills Hot Tubs and Gary, the owner. He gladly came all the way up to Dublin from Lancaster to do the work. He was very professional and reasonably priced, especially compared to the local company. He didn't complain at all that my hot tub was sunk in my deck and made sure that all was working properly before leaving. I highly recommend his services for anyone in the Columbus and surrounding areas.
Dishonest and unprofessional company! We purchased a new hot tub from the owners son and were promised a 5 yr. warranty, bluetooth capability and water delivery. We received none of that! As soon as he had our full payment by check in his hand he became very hard to reach and unprofessional. When he would finally get back to me he would respond with "yup","nope" and "thx". The day the owner delivered it (yes the owner does the deliverys) our new hot tub showed up completely uncovered with the top cover folded and just laying inside strapped down. On top of that the tub had powder and gunk in it after his son told me the day before "it was cleaned and ready to go". The owner informed me his son "forgot" to send our warranty information and owners manual and we could just go to the store and pick it up. How nice, we live 45 minutes from the store! He assured me the water would be delivered that day, and it never showed up! We went the next day to pick up our manual and warranty information. Instead of the 5 yr. warranty we were promised we had a 1 yr. warranty! Also the hot tub was not bluetooth capable because the owner removed the audio system! I let them know about these issues immediately and was given the run around and a laundry list of excuses with no solution until I finally contacted the BBB. This got the attention of the owner finally and he contacted me asked me to send him the proof I had of his son making these promises via email and assured me if I could do that he would take back the hot tub and give me a refund. I complied within the hour he had his proof. Once again days go by I try and try to get ahold of him and finally he called me back. He gave me many excuses and assured me they would honor the 5 yr warranty and give me back the audio system. I told him I didn't trust their company at all at this point and did not want to get this run around if I had issues with the hot tub I was standing firm I wanted them to take it back. He at that point got very ugly and told me he didn't want to get into the "he said she said"! I gave him proof of what was said and found that very rude. He said he would only buy it back if I agreed to let them keep $545.00 to cover delivery and chemicals! I am sure Hot Springs gives those chemicals with new hot tub purchases and he delivered it couldn't he give himself a pay cut as the owner to do right by a customer? Apparently not! He brought his son to pick up the hot tub, his son acted like a sulky teenager and the owner acted like I was a piece of gum on his shoe. He took the owners manual from me at which time i assumed he would look the tub over and give me my check, no! he had it loaded and the truck running before I got the check! Please keep all communication with these people if you buy here, you will need it. We have lost over $500.00 because of their dishonesty, please don't make the same mistake we did. Do not buy from Fun Center Pools and Spas of Mansfield Ohio they do not run an honest business!

We bought a home that came with a spa that we were told 'just had a leak that needed patched'. Gary uncovered that the plumbing had been shattered by freeze damage, the pump motor had been damaged by frozen water, and most recently the heater shorted out (not related to freeze damage). Gary was wonderful to work with. Punctual and working quickly to solve our spa issues. We will absolutely use Gary for any and all spa issues we may have in the future.

Wayne called the day after we left a message, very nice and knowledgeable. He said he would sent someone out. Called the morning of the day of the appointment to let us know his repairman was on his way. The polite gentlemen knew exactly what to do, explained everything to me, answered any questions, CLEANED MY POOL!! We have been looking for a great pool company for years. We finally found one! We need a concrete pad for our hot tub and they said they do those too and could give us an estimate!

The tankless water heater stopped working no less than 5 or 6 times before we called another company, who initially fixed the problem over the phone!! It's been over 2 years and we have never had another problem with that heater since it was properly installed. Upon calling other licensed professionals to fix other problems, we have found out since that they did not follow codes, hooked the water heater directly to our well water rather than through a filter, and the list goes on. They never did completely install the ceiling fixtures, which are still unfinished. Now that we have had licensed professional from other businesses come in to do work, we've had to have the breaker box rewired, the water supply to the heater rerouted, junction boxes rewired, etc. In fact, about the only work they did that still stands is the electric wiring to the upstairs bathroom. To add to insult, they double billed us three times that I am aware of, and not for small sums - in fact they were rude and charged late fees, when all along it had been paid months before. It was a good thing I had receipts because they argued and treated me as if I were the one trying to be dishonest or cheat them. In all, incompetence from the office to the field. The fellows who worked on our house were nice enough - they just didn't do a competent or satisfactory job, and the owner was unpleasant to deal with.

We were very blessed to have Greg and his crew complete several remodeling projects in our large 1950's ranch. They were professional, dependable, knowledgeable and each one did quality craftsmanship. They were a great group of men and we would highly recommend them for any of your remodeling needs. We hope to use them again in the near future as our remodel progresses.

Dennis and his son, Tyler, are absolutely AWESOME. I look at reviews before I hire anyone and they came highly rated, but I was impressed from the first phone call. We scheduled a few days out (Nov. 2016) and they showed up at the exact time they said they would. They were able to quickly fix one leaky shower and one randomly running toilet. Dennis didn't like the way the toilet was running after he made the initial fix, so he pulled it apart and found the actual root of the problem and fixed that, too. (Let me pause and say this is the fourth time we have had someone out to fix that toilet. Finally it works properly!) We also had them fix a second leaky shower that had a badly corroded handle. This is where the majority of the cost came in and I was okay with that, because instead of saying it couldn't be fixed (which is what the last person told me), Dennis took the time to do the job right. He even installed an access panel in my closet so we can access the plumbing if we need to in the future. They were at my house from 8:30am-2:30pm. They ran out very quickly (10 min) for parts and immediately returned to the job. We noticed after they left that a child safety feature was left on our shower and we preferred it be taken off. I called Dennis and he and Tyler came back the next afternoon and removed it for no charge. While they were there, Tyler even retightened my toilet lid because he noticed it wiggled. These men are hardworking, humble people. I felt very safe around them. It turns out they are also expert carpenters (for stairs, retaining walls, etc.). They showed me photos of their work and it was beautiful. I have already hired them for a hot tub at our lake place and they will be working on that in a few weeks. Can't say enough good about D&M Plumbing!

Fabulous!!! You're going to think I am a family member after reading my review. I'm not. I am someone who is very wary of contractors. I've had people come to my home in the past and do a poor job or be less than trustworthy. I had gotten to the point where I figured I could screw something up myself and I could do it for free so why pay someone??? Well, I have a friend who used Greg Hughes Handyman & Home Improvement in the past and really likes his work. I saw their reviews on Angie's List and nervously gave them a try. Greg came to my house and gave me a great price to build me a new deck with a 10x10 sub deck for a hot tub. I choose him because his price and availability were good. He and James removed the old 10x10 deck, propping up the aluminum awning that also needed repair. They built a rock solid deck (my horses can walk across it) exactly how imagined it, only better. The "better" came from details like installing a handrail down the steps, trimming it out and angling the ends of handrail, running the wood from the steps right into the 10x10 pad to avoid a seam between the deck and the steps, and installing boards across the bottom (because I dislike the lattice) all without me asking! They also repaired the aluminum awning and replaced split gutter and ran it off the deck. They did several things other than the deck. Multiple interior and exterior electrical projects were tackled with ease and professionalism. A sanitary hydrant that has not worked properly since a PLUMBING COMPANY installed it (Mr. Plummer, Circleville) now works as it should have all along. They repaired an aluminum awning and replaced the gutter that attaches to it. They also installed duct work which should have been installed when the house was built. The final chapter was a power wash of the deck and a clean up of the site. There are things about this contractor that make him better than most. Quality is superior. Price is fair and reasonable. Greg Hughes will clearly tell you if a task is not within their expertise instead of going ahead and doing something sub par. They are very trustworthy (I had no problem leaving the house open when I left for work) and considerate. An example of being considerate: they dug some holes while I was at work. When I came home each hole was clearly marked so I would not step in any of the holes. Honestly, I have never had a contractor behave in these ways. By the time all was finished I really felt that my experience of the process was important to Greg. It is really nice to know that you don't have to be wealthy to get great work and be treated really well. Thank you Greg, and James, for everything you did.
