Recent Review: Tom from reliable was great to work with! He was polite, professional, and completed the job on time. He installed a gas line for our basement fireplace insert. We could not have asked for better service, and the price was more than fair. We will certainly use them again for future plumbing needs.

Recent Review: Professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff! Took months to find a company that installed gas lines, and the estimates we were given were 2-3x more expensive. I now have gas appliances in addition to stubbed locations for future purchases. Thank you Green Mile for going the extra mile!

Reviews in Canton for Gas Line Installation

ATHE PLUMBER
John came out and provided an estimate for the work I requsted. I told him I wanted to go ahead with it. We scheduled the work and he returned the following week to do the work. He installed the gas line and gas valve where we are having a new patio installed. He offered to stop back out and hook up the new grill and bleed the line at no charge when the patio is complete. He also tested our hot water heater for a possible gas leak at no charge. He was courteous, neat (wore foot covers each time he came into the house), communicative as to when to expect him and thorough.

Mike came to our home and discussed what we needed. He outlined alternatives and indicated he would email a quote. After a week I had not received the quote so I emailed him in case he was sending the information to the wrong address. Still no acknowledgement. Second email at two weeks - no quote.

Awesome company, very professional. Pricy but worth it knowing the work is guaranteed and done correctly. They have installed gas lines (found an open line in the process!), replaced toilet piping that was leaking, fixed clogged drains and did an incredible revamp of my laundry room in my Century home.

Be careful if hiring for gas work. Jim ran flexible gas line through the floor. A code violation. We called the gas company after smelling gas. Todd responded from East Ohio. He immediately shut the gas off. We called Jim back. He responded and reinstalled steel gas pipe. Todd from East Ohio returned and still found every gas joint behind the stove and in the basement leaking. Thankfully, Todd was able to repair all the leaks.

Elie is fair, does great work, and gets the job done quickly.  I had a cast iron waste pipe in the basement of my nearly 100-year-old house that was rusty and leaking. He cut it out and replaced it and fixed the problem.  I also had him install a gas line to my dryer. Extremely satisfied.

AFrecka Plumbing
The gas company was replacing our gas meter and discovered that we had a leak. They couldn’t turn our gas back on until we had it repaired. It couldn’t have been too severe of a leak, or we would have been blown up long ago. But our furnace, and the gas lines down in the basement were ancient. Probably 40 years old or more. We called Frecka Plumbing (Rick and Tim Frecka) and, since the weather was cold, and we couldn’t go without heat for long, they rearranged their schedule to come out the next day. Tim came over and checked out the situation. The old gas lines had not been well installed, in the sense that they ran longer in length than necessary, and one section did not even need to be there. Also the joint connections were not up to (current) standard. I agreed to have the gas lines from the meter to the water heater, the furnace, and the dryer upstairs replaced. That went well, except that when they tested the pressure, the lines were good but there was still a little leak from the furnace control valve—not something they could repair. Rick suggested I either have that furnace system replaced or put the money that it would cost toward buying a new furnace. I had been considering getting a new furnace, anyway, so I decided to go that route. He suggested a few companies to contact, and I called one right away. (It was already early evening, by then, and I wanted to get the heat back on as soon as possible.) Anyway, the new lines then had to be inspected by the gas company, and the inspector commented on what a good plumbing job it was—an unsolicited comment. The Frecka’s were very responsive, friendly, and thoughtful. It was a sloppy day, and our basement had water in it, as well. Tim laid down a tarp to keep muddy tracks off our floors as he went in and out of the house. And, as I mentioned, they do excellent work and cleaned up afterward. I would hire them again.
