Recent Review: I contacted Naples Contracting for an estimate for a bathroom refresh. remove tub install shower, new sink and toilet. Patrick arrived at the scheduled time. We looked at the small bathroom. He recommended a few extra thing that I hadn't considered doing. We talked about them and I agreed. The estimate was for the items stated above with a new floor over the existing one and scrape and resurface the ceiling. Both of these jobs were needed but I was trying to get by with the minimum so hadn't included them in the initial request. We also discussed a tub surround or tile. Since there is a window high in the wall we decided on tile. Patrick came back with an estimate of $3000 which included everything but the tile. I went to Lowe's and looked at the things he had included. We kept some of them, upgraded some and picked the tile. I contacted Patrick to get the quote updated with the new price. Instead of changing the quote we decided that he would give me a quote for the labor and I would directly pay for the things to be installed. The quote for his labor was $2500. Patrick arrived to start work on the day agreed to and began the demo work. Part way through the the demo work he asked me to come in to the bathroom. It was in much worse shape that either of us suspected. He recommended that he tear it down to the studs everywhere and just start over but he said that decision was up to me. I looked at what he showed me and decided to do it right and maybe I wouldn't have to have it done again. I told him to go ahead. He tore it all out and started to put it back together. The increase in the time line caused my job to run in to another job he had scheduled, he had warned me about that when the decision to tear it all out was made. This changed it from a long weekend job to a two week job but I had agreed to that. He did quickly get the sink and toilet connected and this was a second bath so we weren't inconvenienced. While putting it back together several items like corroded copper piping was found that delayed him and added a little expense. One one occasion a leak developed in a line he wasn't even near. He stopped and repaired that line. He even would let my dog out if he was the only one there. Patrick did a great job on the bathroom. It looks great and function great. The total bill for the job with all of my additions was about $5500. Which is great for a, to the studs remodel of a bathroom. Patrick will be back at my house doing a couple other jobs that my wife wants done.

Recent Review: An man named Tom came out to give me an estimate for a bathroom remodel. Immediately he expressed that he was not happy because I asked him to take his shoes off. We do not where shoes in our home. When Tom entered the bathroom he commented on how small it is. He dropped his tape measure on my new commode and then again on my vanity. He expressed that he didn't understand why I wanted to remodel because it is a modular home. I let him know that I want to make it as nice as possible. Tom left and was to get back with an estimate. When I didn't hear from him I called him. He told me there are 3 people ahead of me. I waited about 4 weeks and since I hadn't heard from him I called again. Tom then informed me that he is still "looking". I waited approximately 6 weeks and called him again since I had not heard from him. At this point he told me that he couldn't find a bathtub to fit my bathroom. I asked if he was going to call me to make me aware. He said no, he figured I would figure it out. I expressed to him that he should have been courteous and called me to inform me so I wouldn't be sitting here waiting. I know there are bathtubs that will fit and feel that this was just an excuse. If he didn't want the job he should have told me that up front. I feel I have been disrespected and would not recommend even trying to get an estimate from this company. They know who they want as a customer and who they don't want is how I feel.

FMarkey Home Improvement
Never finished. Where they took the wallpaper off the wall putting in the tub and medicine cabinet is not repaired. I could not find the wallpaper to match but had a good bit leftover and instead of working something out Thomas Markey told me to get someone else. So the walls are still messed up and the shower rod is in the corner and I am looking for someone to finish the job yet when I put in wallpaper hanger on Angies list Markey comes up. I had a bad feeling about him in the beginning and should have trusted my gut and would have a FINISHED bathroom. I have never had this problem with a contractor before. I kept back $100.00 til the job was finished but should have not paid any til the job was complete. Labor only was 2500.00 so he got paid 2400.00 for an unfinished job.

Be advised : DO NOT hire this incompetent company. The owners are quite young and very inexperienced at running a business. Because there knowledge is limited, they bring in outside help from wherever they can find it.  These individuals were left unsupervised in my home, and emptied my refrigerator, used my towels to clean up their messes, stole tools and other items, broke my vacuum cleaner in attempts to clean up large chunks of ceramic, and ultimately did awful work that I had to pay to have repaired. Not only did I end up spending more money correcting their errors, but had to pay additional money to fix the damage created from their incorrect work. DO NOT HIRE!!

They came in and looked at the job. A week later I contacted them about the estimate. I was told they didn't have time to do the job. I appreciate them telling me that but once they looked at the job they should have estimated it and told me the time frame.
