Recent Review: Crowdsourcing site for interior and architectural design. Interesting service and if you are comfortable with internet shopping and a little risk, IMHO, worth the cost.  My project:   Redesigning kitchen and family room (great room concept) and we needed interior design/style advise for the project. The site posts a "competition" for the project, you determine what amount of money to offer for the competition (site recommends an amount, but the customer is free to change if needed.) Within 20 days, we had 20 designers signed up for our competition from all over the world. In the end, 8 designers submitted designs. We picked our top 4, rated all designs and the top three were selected based on ratings -- one from France, USA and Serbia. Honorable Mention went to country of Georgia. First, second and third place received a portion of the award money.   Pros and Cons:  You, the customer, must be comfortable with the risk of paying for something and not knowing if you'll like the result. For me, this was part of the process and an acceptable risk.  You don't have a face to face consultation. The site has a "wall" where you can post ideas, photos, communication with the designers or architects. I resolved this by posting my houzz.com design book on the wall to give designers ideas of our likes, dislikes, etc. You can also post requirements and constraints for your project. Toward the end of the competition (a deadline is set when you submit a project) a lot of communication occurs with the architects and designers. Expect it, it's part of the process.  The website is fairly rudimentary. Online/chat help is available but is somewhat hit and miss.  You can send designs to friends and family to rate. This is helpful in making a decision.  Overall, we got a number of ideas between the designers and were very pleased with the process and project.

Great built a 20×12 deck and was satisfied so hired again to remodel my bathroom. Thomas never seems to disappoint.

Never finished. Where they took the wallpaper off the wall putting in the tub and medicine cabinet is not repaired. I could not find the wallpaper to match but had a good bit leftover and instead of working something out Thomas Markey told me to get someone else. So the walls are still messed up and the shower rod is in the corner and I am looking for someone to finish the job yet when I put in wallpaper hanger on Angies list Markey comes up. I had a bad feeling about him in the beginning and should have trusted my gut and would have a FINISHED bathroom. I have never had this problem with a contractor before. I kept back $100.00 til the job was finished but should have not paid any til the job was complete. Labor only was 2500.00 so he got paid 2400.00 for an unfinished job.

Chris and his team have done an excellent job with every job I've given them. I am remodeling a very old home and there are always unexpected surprises every time we open up a wall to do something else and they are always prepared to handle it. Chris is very conscientious about staying on budget and I can trust his crew inside my house. I think that dogs are excellent judges of character and both of my German Shepherds absolutely love all the guys on his crew which is really all I need to know about their character.

I contacted Naples Contracting for an estimate for a bathroom refresh. remove tub install shower, new sink and toilet. Patrick arrived at the scheduled time. We looked at the small bathroom. He recommended a few extra thing that I hadn't considered doing. We talked about them and I agreed. The estimate was for the items stated above with a new floor over the existing one and scrape and resurface the ceiling. Both of these jobs were needed but I was trying to get by with the minimum so hadn't included them in the initial request. We also discussed a tub surround or tile. Since there is a window high in the wall we decided on tile. Patrick came back with an estimate of $3000 which included everything but the tile. I went to Lowe's and looked at the things he had included. We kept some of them, upgraded some and picked the tile. I contacted Patrick to get the quote updated with the new price. Instead of changing the quote we decided that he would give me a quote for the labor and I would directly pay for the things to be installed. The quote for his labor was $2500. Patrick arrived to start work on the day agreed to and began the demo work. Part way through the the demo work he asked me to come in to the bathroom. It was in much worse shape that either of us suspected. He recommended that he tear it down to the studs everywhere and just start over but he said that decision was up to me. I looked at what he showed me and decided to do it right and maybe I wouldn't have to have it done again. I told him to go ahead. He tore it all out and started to put it back together. The increase in the time line caused my job to run in to another job he had scheduled, he had warned me about that when the decision to tear it all out was made. This changed it from a long weekend job to a two week job but I had agreed to that. He did quickly get the sink and toilet connected and this was a second bath so we weren't inconvenienced. While putting it back together several items like corroded copper piping was found that delayed him and added a little expense. One one occasion a leak developed in a line he wasn't even near. He stopped and repaired that line. He even would let my dog out if he was the only one there. Patrick did a great job on the bathroom. It looks great and function great. The total bill for the job with all of my additions was about $5500. Which is great for a, to the studs remodel of a bathroom. Patrick will be back at my house doing a couple other jobs that my wife wants done.

It went great, demolished lower 1/2 of wall and replaced it with tile, custom fabricated floor molding and notch for soap and shampoo, also created a new wall behind tub to frame in for a complete custom look. Re plumed shower to a higher, more pleasing height. Plaster, caulk, grout, molding. Its the bathroom she always wanted.

I bought the stuff and he just charged me for putting it in. He was on time. I needed it done as soon as possible. He asked his clients if it was OK and they gave him permission to come out to me instead.

I would give an A except for the time taken from first payment Nov 1st to completion Jan 13. Owner did not repond to our repeated attempts to contact him about progress of job that was supposed to take approximately 3 weeks, but ended up almost 3 months, however once he did respond, he apologized and stated he had some other problems that delayed the job. Quality of material used was excellent and workers who did the job worked very hard for two days to complete, cleaned up everything after, and were very courteous.

Be advised : DO NOT hire this incompetent company. The owners are quite young and very inexperienced at running a business. Because there knowledge is limited, they bring in outside help from wherever they can find it.  These individuals were left unsupervised in my home, and emptied my refrigerator, used my towels to clean up their messes, stole tools and other items, broke my vacuum cleaner in attempts to clean up large chunks of ceramic, and ultimately did awful work that I had to pay to have repaired. Not only did I end up spending more money correcting their errors, but had to pay additional money to fix the damage created from their incorrect work. DO NOT HIRE!!

They came in and looked at the job. A week later I contacted them about the estimate. I was told they didn't have time to do the job. I appreciate them telling me that but once they looked at the job they should have estimated it and told me the time frame.
