Recent Review: Tracy came soon after calling and was right on time. He had excellent suggestions and was very professional. The report was prompt and consistent with our conversation. A few years ago, needed a structural engineer who was pricey and not very prompt. Tracy provided far better service. I will surely use him again for future projects. He has my personal "super service" award!
Recent Review: I contacted the provider on Friday9/13 to set up an appointment for a structural engineer for a house I am in underwriting with. The company's voicemail states they will call back in 24hrs. Since it was a Friday I waited until Monday. I called several times Monday with no answer from the office manager- who is suppose to do the scheduling. I called other extensions two of which answered but simply transferred me back to the office manager who never answered and I left about 3 messages. I still do not have a response.
Recent Review: I called Rob at Clayzen Consulting to take a look at my basement foundation that has some cracks and bowing. I had called in some foundation repair contractors and wanted to compare what they suggested with the advice of a structural engineer. Rob was prompt and on time. He gave me a very detailed assessment of what my problems were and gave excellent advice. Come to find out my problem was not as bad as I thought it was and what actually needs to be done is a lot less than I had been offered by some of the foundation repair contractors I had spoken with. Rob explained things thoroughly and was patient while i took notes. I would recommend anyone who is having basement issues to call a structural engineer to have it checked out before you get foundation repair bids. Thanks Rob
It went very well. I got what I had hoped for. I would definitely hire this company and structural engineer again.

Excellent. Matt provided detailed information of what needed to be done to correct the issues and submitted his report quickly so closing of the property could move forward

It is not easy to find a residential structural engineer. Clayzen was polite, punctual and issued a generalized report. It was not very helpful.

He was the third guy I called. He was good. I don't have anything to benchmark against. We were just getting a second opinion on some cracks that we had in our foundation. No leaking. And then we have some water, some sinking concrete and I was wondering if that was in anyway impacting our foundation and causing the cracks. That's why we had him come out. He came out and looked at it. Came out as planned when he said he would. The price, he let me know ahead what the price was going to be. He was the third guy I called because the other 2, I guess they are out in the field but it took them multiple days to call me back. They all called me back but he'd already been out by then. I called him on a Thursday or a Friday and he was out on that Monday. He was a very nice guy. Easy to speak with and he took his time with us. I was overall pleased. Overall, it was what I expected and for the price that I expected. He took the time and we achieved our desired goal.

Tracy promptly returned phone calls. He offered appointment times to suit our convenience. He was prompt, personable and professional and did a thorough examination of our situation. His report included photographs, his expert opinion and suggestions for future monitoring. He will be the first person we call if the situation changes or any future structural engineering issues/questions.

The inspector was on time and very knowledgeable. I feel he gave a thorough inspection and evaluation of the retaining wall and patio area that we had some concerns about for a home we are under contract to purchase. The price was higher than I would have thought for a short inspection of a limited area, however, the inspector gave some value added time by walking around the house with me and pointing out some other areas of concern and recommendations.

Bill Harris and his sons got in the crawl space and took a look at the areas that needed work, reviewed the engineer's drawings, and called the engineer to discuss methods for providing the support needed which included adding steel and concrete support to one block wall, "pinning" another area, shoring up a support beam, and adding support to a large expanse in the floor joists. He also added irrigation to the yard to draw water away from this area of the house. These are my layman' terms for a very detailed job. They did a fantastic job, doing exactly what they said they would do. They were on time, cleaned up every day, and stayed on the job until completed. We appreciated the fact Bill called the structural engineer to discuss the work and the time he took explaining what they were doing and how it would resolve our problem. Bill was "Holmes on Homes" for us. We are very satisfied with his work and highly recommend his work.

Mr. Cole was on time, very professional and did a fabulous job! He gave me a full report in a expedited timeline considering our deadline for inspection. He was able to give me very clear information which helped us to know exactly what we were purchasing and what needed to be done to bring the home up to standards put in place by engineering standards. This gave us negotiating room to be able to allow for future improvements that are needed. We did decide to purchase the home and will be doing the suggested improvements necessary. Thank you for the great service. It was the best service I received during the whole home purchasing experience no question about it.
