Recent Review: Our house was a foreclosure and while the bank had done some work, the floors were filthy.  My first call was with questions and Becky answered the phone in less than two rings, very refreshing and surprising.  She took the time to ask qualifying questions for my service and answer my questions about their process, etc.  I called back later to schedule, it was equally as easy. The cleaning team measured and provided an more accurate quote, as I had ball-parked the square footage during scheduling.  The team got to work and it took 3-4 hours to complete, sooner than expected.  The tile and grout came out very clean and smooth to walk on. The bathrooms were missed on the original quote and service call, but this was really due to a miscommunication on my part.  I scheduled a return visit and everything was completed. Very satisfied, will recommend to everyone who expresses need for the services that American Cleaning & Restoration have to offer.

Recent Review: Dynamic Kitchens and Baths was so helpful in choosing the fixtures, finishes even the grout color. They're sub contractors though not many, included the shower door installer Clifton Park Glass and Painter, Gary Haswell who also did terrific work with Dynamic Kitchens and Baths overseeing every aspect of they're work.

Recent Review: Jayme (Tile Solutions) responded to our calls in a timely fashion and gave a detailed estimate on July 7. The price was right and Jayme presented himself well so we selected him for the work over two other contractors. We changed our minds several times through the process and had lots of questions and Jayme was always very good about getting back to us with answers. Time to complete the job stretched out over 2 months from the date of the initial estimate. The reason it took so long was mostly due to my wife and I changing our mind about tile and stuff like that, but some if it was Jayme too, for reasons unknown. He seemed very knowledgeable and he and his assistant were fairly clean and efficient in their work?and they were pleasant guys ( I work from home so I'm able to say that first hand). There could have been more attention paid to covering floors, and there were some drips here and there when carrying wet tile through the house, but overall not bad. The quality of the work seems very solid. I always do a lot of research about the projects we have done and I feel that Jayme's technique was very good. He warned us away from using large Travertine tiles in the bathroom suggesting they might break, and we're glad that he did. When we had problems with the layout of the shower or with materials, Jayme was read with suggestions for a fix. My biggest complaint is that I wish there was a little more attention to detail with the finishing touches. Some grout and calk was slopped onto the door jambs and casings and soaked into the stained wood and won't come out. This could have easily been avoided by taping off the jambs/casings. But compared to the scope of the work it's not that big of a deal. Overall I'm really happy with the job he did and we would definitely use him again.

Recent Review: As mentioned above, a lot of surprises came up as they got into the job.  Still, they were able to overcome them all and I ended up with a lovely ceramic (porcelain) tile floor, a new and working toilet, a solid floor, and a utility compartment in good condition.  (All that is left for me to do is paint the outside of the utility compartment's floor.) I must commend Tim on the great job he did with the floor.  I had not expected the wide grouting between the tiles, but now I really like it.  I also have noticed he took great care in placing each individual tile; these tiles are not plain, but have random color changes that come in threads and such.  It would seem  that the tiles were poured together as a single slab that was later cut up (I don't know the procedure) so there is a random pattern in them that he was able to reconstruct.  Furthermore, Tim confirmed that the tiles were not of consistent dimensions and would easily break, consistent with comments I found about these tiles.  It made the job harder, but great job!   I must mention that at the time Tim showed great flexibility.  I had originally hired him to finish the hardwod floors in the house before I moved in.  When he arrived for that job (see my comments in the refinishing hardwood floor category). I asked him if he could also put tiles down on my bathroom and kitchen floors.  My bathroom was urgent, because I can't live without the only bathroom in this house, but I can live without a kitchen.  He juggled his schedule to accomodate me on the bathroom, and I thank him for that.  However, six weeks later, I am still waiting for him to tile my kitchen (also covered with wall-to-wall carpetting!).  So, I can understand the frustration of some other people that have commented on his lack of responsiveness.  As I see it, the guy is successful at what he does and is in demand, so if you want him to get your job done you need to be patient.
