Recent Review: I called and left a msg and within 1/2 hour he returned my call. When he came to the house (1/2 later, yes that's right, the same day) the first thing he did was to put on protective shoe coverings. He removed the shower doors and all of the caulking and waterproofing without leaving a scratch. He was quick and his price was very reasonable. I had a few questions and he was able to answer them for me. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again...

Recent Review: The dry wall, plastering, and siding work were excellent! We can't even tell where the former dog door was. The painting work required regular discussions regarding the quality. For instance, some walls required 2 coats of paint, but the service provider was reluctant to do it. We needed to insist and were told that it would take more time for him to buy the extra paint. Also, there were paint splatter marks on windows and carpeting which we had to clean. Some of the grouting work was only half done (e.g., new grouting was only applied from the shower base to about half-way up the shower stall wall. Nice guy, but needed some prodding to achieve the results we initially discussed.

Recent Review: Ivan has worked for me before. Last year he put in a breezeway between the garage and house at another location. He did such an amazing job at such a fair price I hired him again to install sliding shower doors and safety bars in my bathroom, as well as to put in cabinets. The tile shower had been installed by someone else and he had to deal with uneven walls and poorly installed tiles. He did such an amazing job I couldn't tell there were any anomalies. He knew just where to put the safety bars and made recommendations I wouldn't have thought of. He put the cabinets just where I wanted and did a few extras to help me out. I live in a 55+ community of 30 residents and I've added his name to the top of our "preferred contractors" list. He really knows his trade. Not only is he a skilled carpenter, but he can do just about anything and has the support of excellent tradesmen to do the "heavy lifting" on specialty or complex jobs. My grandfather was a finishing carpenter "from the old country" and my brother and I learned a lot from him. My brother and I are both impressed with Ivan's work and we're sure our grandfather would approve as well. He's so busy he's sometimes hard to schedule, but he's worth the wait.

Recent Review: The project went very well and I am a satisfied customer.? It started on schedule on the date that we agreed upon and was completed on schedule. My only criticism would be the job quote process.?The formal quote should be honored since that price was the one agreed upon. I am facing additional costs on the shower enclosure?which were not budgeted.? Also, measurements for the shower door should have occurred earlier.? Now I am facing another 3-4 weeks without a shower enclosure.

Recent Review: We had an excellent experience with this company and are very satisfied with their work. There were a few bumps along the way - the wrong tub surround was delivered and the shower doors came in broken. Ray immediately took care of these problems and work continued on. Everything was done except for the shower doors. I wanted to do the painting myself, so I started that. The doors came in but I wasn't done, so I asked Ray to wait before installing them so I could finish. He was very agreeable, and as soon as I was done he had his crew back out and finished the work. When they gutted the room they found there was a small leak on my roof around the vent pipe. The roof was covered with snow, so they said as soon as the weather improved he'd send someone out to fix it. We got a break and the snow was gone - Ray called and sent someone out to do the repair. We had a very minor problem with the new heat vent - again, Ray sent worker out and had it fixed right away. We found this to be a great company to work with and would definitely recommend them.

FD & K Handyman Service LLC
It was basically a nightmare that cost us money 1.  responsiveness:  he postponed twice ..the phone number on his invoices was incorrect.. 2.  professionalism:  he didn't check his work (the hand held spout leaked, and he had to come back to fix it..adding a washer to one end of the hose--he didn't bother to add a washer to the OTHER end of the hose and that still is not fixed) 3.  cleanness: he couldn't trash the boxes that the shower door came in 4.  within days after installing the tub shower door, it came off the tracks and fell into the bathroom scattering in a million pieces (which we had to clean up) note:  i felt his fee was reasonable for this job, but I now need a new shower door... when contacted about the problems with the shower door---he IMMEDIATELY became defensive and would not listen to our explanation as to what happened.... he said it was a design flaw (a concern he didn't bother to communicate to us earlier) and that he would not fix or replace it...because in his version of events we pushed it off the track...(home depot, from where we ordered the shower door, said it had no complaints about that model) a huge disappointment and we now have to start all over again with installing a new shower door at our own cost ... (good news, the grab bar seems to be correctly installed) really wish to save other folks from having to go through this experience

ADeRisio Construction Inc
very good, no problems, had to wait a little bit for the shower door to be delivered but not big deal. Our worker Scott was excellent in his work, he even took care of our dogs when we were not there. Nick DeRisio, the owner was a excellent to deal with, honest and full of knowledge. He check on progress on a regular basis and always return call and/or emails on a timely manner. We got 7 estimates for this work, DeRisio was not the cheapest but was by far not the most expensive.

AMiracle Method of Rochester NY
Responding to an ad, I  first visited the showroom on Dewey Ave to see what a refinished tub area looked like and then asked for an in home quote. The quote process was very professional.. The owner quoted exactly what I requested but also made other suggestions, several of which I accepted, once I understood the wide scope of  options available. He then returned with shower door choices that were both attractive and fairly priced. The installation was equally professional. Peter was meticulous and hard working. Some odor, but dissipated quickly.  We love the results. Overall Miracle Method is an EXCELLENT value, with a minimum of disruption. These entire project took about 4 days.

ALARRY J LAZZARO REMODELING
we did the reconstruction in stages, with the kitchen and den getting priority after we purchesed the home but before we moved to Webster. This took about three months. The remaining two thirds of the renovation, the bedrooms and downstairs took about six months. For the most part, Larry was on time and even had to bring on additional help to complete the kitchen and den, before the moving van arrived. Larry and his main crew are all good guys and do high quality work. I was impressed that he screwed down all the floorboards to the joists to prevent the floor from squeaking. The new floors and tile work are great. The guy who did the kitchen cabinets did a great job with the IKEA cabinetry even though he had never heard of IKEA. Towards the end, when about 90% of the work had been completed, and Larry apparently had other projects, it aggravated my wife to have some delays in a few minor bits of work that could have been finished more quickly if they had dedicated themselves to our house. The few problems we've had such as water leaking under the shower door and a sunlight water leak were promptly attended to.
