Recent Review: Quick install, showed up on time and took away the old system. Tested hardness of water and programmed the system. I Would hire Mike and John again. I didn't rate the price because I really don't know, but it's much better than the antique I had been using for 25 years. A rebate was included in the cost and I didn't have to file for it.. They also fixed a couple small issues that they spotted at no extra charge.

DBH Mechanical Electrical Plumbing & Heating
Recent Review: Seven years ago we bought the house of dreams, the problem was that the house of our dreams was already over 100 yrs old. The first thing on our to-do list was to remodel our down-stairs bathroom. Not being from the area ( my husband and I were both in the Army) we trucked down to the local hardware store and asked for the name of a good pluming and heating guy. We were given a list of names and that is when we first met Dan Hamilton. Besides being one of the nicest guys I know he is also the most professional; the bathroom came out beautiful. This year has been an extremely rough year for me, I have been very ill. Our furnace had to be replaced this winter and last week our hot water heater decided to flood our basement. Everyone knows that summer is the busiest time for contractors but it just took one phone call and he made my water heater and softener a priority. Before my plumber left today he said, "Amanda if you ever need anything, anything at all, the wife and I are here for you." Like I said he's one of the nicest guys I know.

PureBliss Water Treatment Systems
Recent Review: I first called Bliss to check and fix (if necessary) my 30 year old water softener.  They did not try to talk me into a new water softener.  They fixed the old one and explained what they did and how to keep the unit working for as long as possible, they did explain  how in the last 30 years systems have changed and improved.  It was only after I asked them for details on a new system did they go into detail.     When we decided to update, we made an appointment, they were prompt, they were clean, they were courteous and they went over every aspect of the installation including where all the levers were and what they did, they went over the guarantee and any questions we had .  All in all this company did a A1 job, and I would not hesitate to refer friends or family to them.

Recent Review: The snaked line job was done very efficiently with no damage to the clay pipes.  Clean up was excellent, you could not tell workman had been there. The basement pipes were done wih the end result being that you no longer have multiple lines going here and there.  Again, workmanshipwas excellent and they cleaned up so that you could not tell they were there. We are using him again this month to install a water softening system and reverse osmosis system. I highly recommend this business.  Fair pricing, excellent work.

AHague Water Systems
I sent an email on Sunday and Mike responded by phone within an hour. He asked many questions about our house and our water usage, as this is a week-end home, our usage is different than a permanent home. He spoke about the different options appropriate for our situation and we set up an appointment for Tuesday morning. He was there on time with an assistant and explained the two different systems to us that would fulfill our needs. He had both systems on his truck and was able to install the one we choose the same morning. The installation took about an hour, exactly the time he told us. This was very important as we had to return to the city that morning. He and his assistant were very professional, neat, prompt, and informative. Before leaving he instructed us on the use of the system and how to maintain it. Since soft water effects soap and soap suds differently than unsoftened water he gave us suggestions on the use of our dishwasher, washing machine, and general washing and shampooing. While he checked our whole water system he told us that the membrane in our water tank was torn. We already knew this from our own plumber. He gave us an estimate for a replacement tank installed and the price was well below the other estimates we received. He is returning in three days (when we are back at our country house) to install the new water tank. We feel very comfortable with the decision we made to use Hague Water Systems.

We had CAC install a water softener at our home. We informed them that we had a low flow well and water management was important. We use 2 165 gallon storage tanks for water storage which has been enough for the previous 6 months. When the softener was installed we had resin in our water line within days. They came out and replaced 2 filters inside the unit. This equipment failure completely filled our washing machine and kitchen sink lines that we had to flush. We ran out of water within a month. The softener was sticking during the brine rinse cycle. I called their on call service and was told to place the unit into bypass and service world call me to set up a service time during normal business hours. They showed up 2 days later with no call. They rebuilt the head and reinstalled it. We ran out of water again within a week. Same issue sticking during brine rinse. Placed unit into bypass. Called them next business day, they showed up 2 days later checked the unit (again without calling). Seemed to be fine after they manually advanced it. I questioned them about the amount of water used during a regeneration and amount of time to regenerate etc 3 times more same issue same results. Then they replaced the entire head and said that should take care of the issues. I noticed that my boost pump was cycling and went to check the unit and found out that the unit was stuck AGAIN I called them and told them that we had not ran out of water yet but was draining the tanks and would leave it in service till they get there. They were able to get here in time to witness the issue. They called the manufacturer and spoke with them again and told it was a issue in stage 4 of the new head. They pulled the entire unit this time and took it to the shop to test. I called the next week and left a message on the voice mail. 7 calls later I said enough and drove to the office 35 miles away. I was told the manager was at lunch and was welcome to wait for him(about 15 minutes). 25 minutes later one of the office personal informed me that the manager was busy but aware of the situation. They informed me that they had canceled the rental agreement the day they pulled the unit and would be letting me out of contract. I asked for a refund for the months that the unit was not working and restore the plumbing to original condition (they had 6 push lock connectors) was denied. 7 service calls and 11 ignored phone calls later I purchased a new unit at a big box store and installed it myself and it is working fine.

I cannot stress enough how positive our experience was with Rodney at ABC Water Services. We purchased a house on well water that came with a horrific sulfur smell and hard water, even though we had an extensive system in the basement that was supposed to fix everything. (Apparently, the previous owners thought house maintenance was optional and did nothing to maintain the systems in their years at the house.) We originally hired a plumber (Pete Mellon) to fix the system, which not only took two weeks between him checking out the system and finally coming back with the parts, but still did not fix the issue. So that was money down the drain.   We did some more research on here and called Rodney. He got an A for responsiveness, because he was able to come out the same day. He received another A rating because he came out ready to fix the problem--No excuses of needing to order parts. He keeps a lot of inventory and had everything with him. This was really handy because he also found out that the system was not set up to the proper drain, which was the cause of our basement flooding the night prior. He was able to fix that during the same visit! Of course, the biggest defining factor was that he actually fixed our problem. No more sulfur smell. No more sediment getting through the filters. We finally have clean water!  The experience was top-notch. He only had us pay half of the cost up front. He then came back at the end of the week to re-test our water and to make sure we had no problems. He said that only once we were satisfied with the outcome were we responsible for the remaining cost. After our negative experience with the last plumber, this meant a lot.  Rodney is not only extremely knowledgeable about many water filtration systems, but he is very open with walking you through how everything works to make sure you understand maintenance needs. He even does a follow-up call to see if any other questions may have come up. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone with water issues.

A snowstorm caused the start of work to be delayed. The PureBliss crew was professional from the start. They layed tarps down through the house to keep the snow and ice off the floors. The job was completed in a timely manner and use of the system was explained in detail. The system PureBliss installed has met all expectations and we are very happy with it.

Alan, Jason, and Lenny do excellent work, and are extremely responsive.  We had to call Lenny on Christmas Day about clogged pipes that were causing a leak in our basement and he came the next day.  This past week our pipes froze and he was there the same morning.  Alan and Jason do excellent carpentry work and did a lovely job on the installation of our wood floors and the rehab of our two bathrooms.  This included wrestling a new shower unit into a small space.  I still don't understand how they did this! We highly recommend their services.

Shame on them! It was my duty as POA for an elderly customer of theirs to have a water softener system removed since the customer was going to be moving. The customer had paid a monthly rental for years which entitled them to free service on the system. The customer didn't use this option as they actually forgot the unit was downstairs. When I had it removed, they also removed more than 20 bags of perfectly dry salt which they will most likely resell. They did NOT properly seal off the water pipes and I had to put a bucket under them. I called to have this rectified. They told me the pipes were the homeowners responsibility and I stated that was nonsense since they had been specifically connected to their unit and the dual connection was their proprietary property which they admitted to. The manager, Pete, instructed the scheduler Craig that I would have to pay $89 service call plus whatever labor or parts to rectify their sloppily half done job. How dare them! I called Mike Palmer and paid his guy a lot more to have it done only to have Corning call me three hours later and say they realized they should do it. Too little too late. What type of customer service system are they embracing?
