Recent Review: Installer removed existing toilet and installed new one I provided. His fee was for labor, a new flange and wax seal. It was reasonable cost. I liked the way he set the new toilet onto the tile floor using plaster, something the original one did not do. He worked alone, and I assisted in moving the new toilet onto the hole in the floor. The installation was within an alcove in the bathroom. I was a bit disappointed that the new toilet was not exactly squared off to the back wall. The result is that the toilet is turned slightly to one side--something that most people would not notice. However, it bothers me. When I brought this to the attention of the installer at the time of installation, the plaster had already set, so it couldn't be moved. In all, the installer did a decent job.

Recent Review: Finished product was excellent. Nice workmanship. Communication could have been better. Job took perhaps a day or so longer than it should have, In the finished product we are pleased and would use again with caveat that the guys show up in more timely manor, but this is a minor quibble. We missed a full day because of a communication breakdown. The job DID cost a good deal more than anticipated, but this was due to the extreme deterioration of the old flange and sink drain that needed to be repaired, which we didn't see until the floor was opened up. Not contractors fault here. I kind of expected it to be more work than we originally thought.

Recent Review: Floor was replaced around the new high end toilet which was a major job. Also, replaced a hot water heater with a 40 gallon gas one. They cleaned up and took away all fixtures with no mess. They install high quality products. Very pleased overall with A+.

Recent Review: First off let me say these guys are great.   I have a lake cottage with a well.  Over this winter my pump and very old and bad water filtration system were destroyed via freezing, age and me not knowing all of the steps to shut them down. North East water came out, gave me a quote quickly for a superb water filtration system and with a great price for the install.   Their product removed all the iron and sulfur smell from my water which has plagued us at the cabin for the past 35 years.  I now have clean, clear water and a filtration system that does not require filters, chemicals or maintenance. If that was it that would be enough but I have to say that these guys were wonderful.  I needed some more work done on the house and they were able to replace a toilet, run a connection for an outside hose and repair several pipes.  All of their prices were great and they were always on time, worked hard and fast and did superb work.  I can't say how pleased i was. Now the icing on the cake for me is that they will come out this fall and walk me through step by step shutting down the cottage, making sure nothing freezes and allow me to document it all (I'm going to make a laminated book!) In short if you are looking for great, professional and cost effective people to install a water filtration system please use these guys.

Recent Review: We were extremely satisfied with Scott Phelps. This was the second time we hired him. The first time he tiled the downstairs including entry, hallway, kitchen and breakfast nook. His workers were punctual showing up every day promptly at 7:00 am. He would show up every day to either check the progress or inform us of what was going to happen the next day. Scott also worked on our bathroom remodel not only with the tiling but also with the planning and design. He is a stickler for perfection and will not leave the job unless the customer is satisfied. His workers are very talented, friendly and trustworthy. We had no problem leaving the house while they were working. The cost of the job was reasonable. Scott's prices are higher than many but not by much and we feel that what we paid was well worth the outcome. You do get what you pay for.

I was having trouble with leaking from my bathtub kit down into the basement that was ruining the wall board. Unrelated to this problem my wife had contracted to have new carpeting installed in 3 rooms. The man and his son that installed the carpeting did an excellent job. In talking to the man he explained that he contracted with the store that sold the carpeting, but he could also do general improvement projects. My wife and I decided to have the bathtub completely taken out and replaced with a full size walk-in shower that concentrated on safety for older people as we are starting to move through our 60's. Dan Meyers, the home improvement contractor agreed to meet us at the local lumber store that also featured bath room features. He also brought his wife to help counsel us. Because our bathroom looked so cheap they were helping us look at the low end. But then we made a decision on a $1500 oak vanity set and mirror, then moved on to faucet and light sets. We all came to understand that what we really wanted. The final cost of material was about $3500 dollars. He quoted 3200 for the labor. The more we saw of his work and the quality of it, we began to ask for other things like new doors for the linen closet that match the new vanity and then a room door that matched also, and then molding. The final job certainly accomplish the initial project of replacing the leaking tub set, but the craftsmanship of him and his son's work was so excellent I feel like we should do our entertaining in the bathroom. The cost of the project was not cheap, but fair. I would highly recommend Dan Meyers for home improvement projects.

FKOESTLER PLUMBING & HEATING
I went to his supplier and purchased the toilet he recommended. He said that if I bought it the same day and called him back, he would come back and install it the same day. It's the only toilet in our house, so it was an emergency. I made the purchase and called him back. He said he was tired and not coming back out. He promised that he would be back by 9:00 am. He never called or came by the next day (there was a snow storm). My husband called him and he promised he would be there by 10 am on the next day (Saturday). We've called him twice and he has not called back or come by. I've given up. I will never use him again.
