Recent Review: They did a great job and it looks fantastic.  It took 2 weeks and the main worker put in very long days.  They do not do painting though, so I had to contract that out.  The only problem was that we had very little notice of when they were starting, so we did not have a chance to do the electrical work we wanted to do first.

Recent Review: He showed up on time. There should be two people, but the company only sent one. He did all the work by himself. He stayed there for seven hours, and tried to get it done. Somebody told him that he was in the wrong door. He did the opening and everything where he was to do it. He stayed there, and got it done. He came back the next day to do the screen door. He did a good job.

Recent Review: They are really good. They really do a good job and they are not terribly expensive. They are a little bit less than Adirondack Glass; that is why I started going over there.

Recent Review: I found this company by performing a search for Milgard windows.  My husband and I had previously gotten estimates from Pella (from 2 diff. locations).  I spoke with Justin Howe, the owner of SA Window Experts.  He was very friendly and professional.  Within a couple of days of speaking with him, he came to the house with his trailer which has examples of all Milgard products.  That was a huge plus for us.  We were doing such a big project it was easy to get overwhelmed.  We had our decision on which line and style made before he left that day.  His estimate was prompt and was thousands under other estimates from other local companies.  It took approximately 6 weeks for the windows and doors to be ready for install.  My contact throughout this project was Justin 100% of the time, which is impressive to me.   I was always able to get in contact with him when I needed to.  His project manager, Mike Espinoza and team arrived with Justin the first day of a projected 4 day install.  The team was prompt every day and they worked hard... sometimes until 6-7pm.  They were always professional, respecting our house and family.  We have two small children and they were very courteous and friendly to them, as well.  I felt comfortable while they were in our home.  There was one window which didn't fit properly and had to be reordered... which took about 2 wks.  The original window was kept in place so there was no opening.  They came as soon as it was ready and completed the project that day.  The earlier estimated time of 5 days was kept (aside from that window).  There have been a few concerns that have come up such as paint and caulk touch up and a readjustment on the floor foot lock.  Justin had no problem coming back out and addressing the issues in a prompt manner.  The windows and doors look absolutely fabulous!!  We purchased this mid-century modern home the spring of 2010 and just by changing the windows and doors it looks like a new house.  We are 100% pleased with the results from the products themselves to the entire staff and their work ethic.  The windows are a clean lined, modern look.  They have made our home much more energy efficient with the low-e and argon filled double paned windows.  They look beautiful and keep the house cool.  We used the pure view screens for the front and back views and you can't even tell they are there.  We even got compliments from our neighbors when they came to the house trick-or-treating!  I didn't come across any "don'ts" throughout this entire process which is pretty remarkable considering the size of this project.... 20 windows, 2 full sets of sliding glass doors.  I would absolutely recommend this company to any family or friend considering a house upgrade.  It makes us feel good knowing that we are living more green and we are enjoying the view while we're doing it.

The re-screening, door repairs, and kick plate (s) construction were completed to my full satisfaction. I appreciated that the crew was professional and didn't rush the job, taking pride in the finished product.

It was a small job. Nonetheless they arrived on time, quoted the job, and quickly performed the repair in a professional manner. I would definitely use them again.

The jobs were done in phases.  He took about a month for the roof and porch.  Re-wiring and re-plumbing the house took a little over a week.  The kitchen and bath took longer, but we weren't in the house at the time, and we told him there was no hurry.  We were pleased with every job he did, so we hired him to do more.  The work was exceptional.  Seeing the porch, people stop to ask who was our contractor.  The quality of the work sells itself to others.

FEXCALIBUR
He was hired on June 6th. His estimated time to complete the job was approximately three weeks. He said he would be working with a crew of 2-3 people M-F 8-4. After six weeks, he came alone approximately 5 random times. He was very difficult to reach by phone or email and did not return calls promptly. He tore up the walkway, incorrectly power washed parts of the house (damaging the wood), and left an enormous mess! He abandoned the job and kept my money. He did not complete any part of the job that he was contracted to do. Do NOT Hire this man!!

FG & L Construction
The cheapest way possible to do any of the work is exactly what he did. If I had 3'' of molding to put in, he pieced it three times. He never did the finishing, there is a hole in my window screen on a brand new window. He left all of the construction debris in my barn. I have to pay someone to come back in and redo the foyer as it is simply terrible. The eaves outside have all started buckling. I have had to redo about 7-8 thousand dollars worth of work that this guy had screwed up. It's unbelievable how bad everything was done. It also took many months for him to get the work done in the first place.

CRandy Garvey(American Improvements LLC)
Randy Garvey did not provide materials as promised.  He left and did not come back despite repeated attempts.  He was finally terminated by us and we took him to small claims court and he did not show.  We won the $750 plus court fees.  He still has not paid us.  We have been advised by another party that he did the same to them.  (Details Below) I have exhausted just about all avenues to regain my advance to this unscrupulous individual.  I contacted him in good faith to redo my screen house attached to my garage around the first of May.  He came and reviewed the job on 5/20 and cashed my check on 5/21.  He was going to buy the materials for the job and drop them off on or before starting the job. He stated that he might start work on Thursday (5-24)  but no later than Monday (5-28)  He promised us the job done by 6/1 which was the date we had been requesting since the first of May.  Well, he did not arrive until Tuesday 5/29.  He had no materials with him- just a hammer in his hand.  When I asked where the materials were that I paid for and said I would like them there before he tore the screen house apart.  He left and returned with 1 gallon of paint, 1 roll of screen, 1 pkg. of staples, and four planks which amounted to about  $75.  I expected him to begin work but he left and never returned.  On June 1, we terminated him and asked for our money back less the materials he left. We returned in good faith his two ladders and two old planks left at our home when he came with the estimate.  We then took him to small claims court and won a judgement of $781 which included the court cost.  (He did not show at small claims and we won by default.  He has not responded with any form of communications via Ogdensburg Police Department, Certified Mail, or Lawyer correspondence.  Calls to him go unanswered as he has caller ID. I have since saw him working at another residence.  I contacted this home owner and he said Randy Garvey was being paid by him by the week for work performed.  He stated that Randy Garvey was not working enough hours and he was overpaid. He informed Randy Garvey that he was going to withhold payment until he caught up on the money paid for the work.  Randy Garvey packed up and walked off the site and this home owner is going to take him to court. Warning to all be careful when dealing with Randy Garvey.  We will not hire him nor recommend him for any services.  Thank you.
