Orkin Pest Control
Recent Review: They are a little pricey however they do come out on the same day I call them. They charge extra for mosquitoes and I can tell when it's time to call them out again. The mosquitoes start to eat me alive. They are worth every penny I pay to them.

Reviews in South Glens Falls to Treat Mosquitos

AOrkin Pest Control
They are a little pricey however they do come out on the same day I call them. They charge extra for mosquitoes and I can tell when it's time to call them out again. The mosquitoes start to eat me alive. They are worth every penny I pay to them.

ARudzap Pest Control
Everything is going well.  He's very reliable, his prices are reasonable, and his treatments are effective.  He has also done additional work for me at no extra cost.  Additionally, he does so well with the mosquito control that he works for three of my neighbors now.

Dave has been our pest control expert for the past 2 years.  We are very pleased with his service.  We had tried other companies before we contacted Dave, but were not satisfied.  Dave is punctual and if he thinks he might be late; he always calls.  He is very professional as well as thorough in inspecting our premises.  We are so pleased that we maintain an on going contract for his services.

FOrkin Pest Control
I requested that Orkin come and spray my yard to reduce the mosquito population and any deer ticks, as I had been bitten by a deer tick at the end of June which required antibiotic treatment and I wanted to avoid further bites. A rep came out on June 28 and said their Talstar product would work on both pests, and that if I wanted they could come out again in August to repeat the treatment. I opted to see how this first treatment went before I decided on more, especially since he said it was getting to the end of the season anyway. He said he could not apply it that day though, because it was expected to rain in the next few hours and that there would not be enough time to let the product dry and it could be washed away. I gave him my credit card and he wrote the number down on his paperwork. I also requested an MSDS sheet for the product used and signed a form thus requesting it. He said flags would be put up on the yard so i and neighbors would know to stay off the lawn until it dried. Due to rain, Orkin was unable to spray on the re-scheduled date of June 29. They said they would call when they had an opening in dry weather. On July 3, I got a call on my cell phone from an Orkin Technician stating he was at my house and ready to spray. I questioned whether that was a good idea, because I thought it was supposed to rain soon and where I was there were dark clouds overhead. The technician said it would be fine, it wasn't supposed to rain and no clouds at my house. I arrived home at 2:30pm that day and it was raining so hard that water was running off the driveway. The note in my door from Orkin said the tech got there at 11:30 and finished at 12:20pm. So it rained within about 2 hours of applying the product. The first technician I spoke to said it shouldn't be applied if rain was expected that day. I read labels online for the Talstar product, and it is not supposed to be applied during or within a day of rain. I immediately called Orkin (that same day on July 3) and told them that I had just come home and it was raining and I was concerned that the application of insecticide would be ineffective. The woman who answered the phone thought it would be all right but to call if I had any problems. I decided to give it a try and see. Note that I never received an MSDS sheet and no flags were put up in my lawn as promised. There was no reduction in the mosquito population in the days following the application. I called again on July 23, 26, 29 or 30, Aug 6, and August 15 and 16th to try and resolve this matter. I had difficulty getting in touch with a service manager who could resolve the problem. When I did get through on the 26th, the gentleman (I believe it was Damien), said someone would be out the following week and I would get a call beforehand. On July 29 or 30 an Orkin tech came by and asked if I wanted my yard sprayed again for an additional $176. I told him that I thought I was not to be charged for the re-application but he knew nothing about that as the office told him to bill me. I explained that the product was misapplied the first time and didn't work so I was not going to pay any more money for their mistake. He seemed to agree that the product should not have been applied on a rainy day and called the office on his cell phone to let me talk to them. The woman on the phone listened very politely and professionally and said she would get a service manager to call me back as no one was available that afternoon. On August 6, having heard no response yet, I went out and bought some mosquito, deer tick, and insect yard spray concentrate and applied it myself using my garden hose. That did dramatically cut down on the mosquito population as soon as the next day. I called the service manager, Damien, on August 6th, and he said that he had told the technicians not to spray on rainy days and that someone should have been to my house by the end of July. I said yes, someone was here but he wanted me to pay for the service which I refused to do. Damien said that the tech should have done the service for free. I agreed. Then Damien said that since it was August now, he couldn't re-apply the insecticide at no charge because the warranty was only for July. Then he said that he didn't want to send someone out just to have me complain again. I told him that if his people could read a label and follow instructions (don't apply on rainy days) then I wouldn't complain. He continued to argue with me and I became very angry as I felt that he was calling me a liar. So I handed the phone over to my husband, who said that after Damien argued some more he finally stated that he could do nothing for us until his boss got back from vacation the following week. The next day, on August 7th, another Orkin technician showed up and wanted to spray my yard for $176. He didn't know anything about my complaints. Thursday afternoon on August 15th, Damien called when we weren't home and left a message. We called back around 4:30pm and left a message as he wasn't available. On August 16th around 3pm, we called again asking for Damien who immediately returned our call. He said that since our credit card had not been billed, we would not be charged for the service in question but will pay the normal amount for our next services. We explained that that was fine, but there won't be any more services. He countered that we must have signed a contract for a seasonal service plan (of which this was just the first visit) and that he would have to find the paperwork to prove that. I don't believe I signed any such contract, as I specifically requested only one treatment. At any rate, after the way we were treated I don't want them on my property ever again. Damien finally agreed that they would not charge for the service and would not come again. Bottom line is that the product was not applied correctly and consequently the results were very poor. I understand that they have no control over the weather, but they were very reluctant to work out any solution and it took many phone calls from me to get the situation resolved.

ANatures Way Pest Control Inc
Andy is our technician, and he is responsive and takes personal responsibility for all of our home's pest issues.  He is professional, on time, accessible and very responsive.  He communicates clearly and explains/confirms everything before doing any treatments.  I am happy to work with him on an ongoing basis to minimize pest issues at our new home, and I feel like he is doing everything he can to help keep our yard & adjacent woods tick free (which was my initial reason for calling Nature's Way).
