I have a large variety of knowledge and experience, with work on all different forms of projects. I’m willing to work on any kind of job to my client’s wishes; all my jobs that I have completed – I have always had overly satisfied customers.
With all my projects, I am on the job from start to finish; every part of the job is done to perfection. There is no job I am not willing or capable of doing. I do every form of remodeling from residential to commercial; even small home repairs. I can do projects that are small enough that the only one on the job is myself; that can take one or two days. I can also do projects that can take a long extended time with an entire crew. I can do all forms of jobs from windows to doors, and so much more. I am never too busy, and I never charge to look at jobs, give estimates, or answer any question. The one thing I will always promise is to never have a displeased customer. I am very flexible with prices and always give a fair price; I believe in never over charging or under selling. I also grantee that there is never a part of the job that gets short-cutted. At the end of every job there is a happy and over joyed client, who will enjoy the work that has been done from remodeling kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors and so much more. There is no project I cannot do nor is there any job too small or too big. Please feel free to contact me anytime by my cell or by my email. Thank you.

Recent Review: I called to have them come over for an estimate, and the owner was very punctual. We agreed on a price and that he would call to set up a time. He lost my phone number, but made a point of coming by to leave his card and a note explaining. He and his assistant showed up on time, got the job done with no mess or fuss.

Recent Review: Doug responded to my phone call quickly. I had priced a few other businesses for the same work with different door manufacturers. Universal Windows direct was the easiest to work with. They were punctual, responded to my emails very quickly and were never late for an appointment. Mindy was able to understand my concerns and make modifications to the order as needed. The actual installation and product were superb. I wish I called them earlier for my other doors. I will definitely use them again and spread the word to my friends.

APella Windows & Doors
They did an excellent job. The salesman came to measure it out for us. Every time they said they were going to do something, they did it. The crew was great to work with even in the cold.

He did very nice job. You have to make sure that you speak about everything that is going to be done. If you don't then he will charge you extra. He did a very very very good. He is a nice guy. He is honest. I have hired him many different times. My mother has used him also.

FA1 Remodeling Inc
Francois (the owner) has now made another page for his company there are two A1 Remodeling Inc's on angies list this is the second one. Please be aware and read my whole review. My wife and I decided to go with A1 because of their fair price and good reviews that we read and boy did we learn a lesson. First of we wanted a new door. Did we get the door we picked out? No. Doesn’t surprise me because every time I asked him if he ordered the door we wanted he would ask which model it was. Then on the day of the install his crew was asking me about what kind of door it was. Finally after realizing that there was going to be a snow storm that night and we needed a door on our house one was purchased, of course not the one we wanted but one that was half the price we paid for. Mind you we paid him up front for the door we wanted. We expected the money left over would go into the rest of our project. I would come home from work and find my house and my yard a mess. Junk everywhere. Food and bottles from the crew just laying around. No one cleaned up after themselves. Then what was most appalling was when I lifted the toilet seat and found that someone had taken a NO.2 and did not flush. I was nice enough to let them use my bathroom and they do that? I also would come home from work and find that the crew was doing the incorrect work and then would argue with me on what items on the house needed to be replaced. Speaking of his crew. Jose's crew had no clue what they were doing. They would come on and off the job whenever they felt like it. I would have Jose calling me and telling me the reason why he's not showing up is because Francois did not pay him or his crew. Who does that? Eventually we no longer had Jose's crew on the job. We agreed in the contract that my wife and I would pay Francois when the door was finished and the inside of the house was primed and ready for paint. I remember on one occasion that Francois asked me for a check. I said for what? He said for the door being finished. Yes the door was in but the new heating and the inside was not finished as stated in the contract. I also told him that I do not write the checks and that he would have to talk to my wife about that. HE WAITED FOR THREE HOURS IN MY DRIVEWAY FOR HER TO GET HOME!!. He harassed us and demanded we give him a check and we eventually did because he was so pushy. Did he finish the inside of our home? NOPE!!! It was found that there was additional debris removal from the demo of my house which would require an addendum to the contract so we gave Francois an additional amount of money. Later it was found that we should have given him half of what we paid for because the amount of debris removed wasn’t much. He never gave us our money back. Take a look at the pictures all of that debris sat in my yard for weeks!!!!!! We also wrote him a check for our stone veneer that we were getting on our house. Nothing was ever ordered. He basically lied and took our money but after threatening to go the police he promptly returned our money. That’s the only dollar amount we have been able to get back besides the credit card charge that we were able to cancel and get back. There was a second crew on the job and they did a wonderful job until Francois never followed through with ordering material and he never paid them. Still to this date he owe them money. Who in the world does that? Francois is so pathetic that he promised me that he would order our siding and that it would be delivered to our house the next day. He couldn’t provide us with a receipt or proof that the material was ordered. I had to call the siding company and find out if they were delivering the material the next day and they said that Francois had to be there to sign. AND GUESS WHAT? HE WAS NOT THERE THE NEXT DAY! THE TRUCK CAME AND FRANCOIS WAS NOT THERE TO SIGN. He gave the excuse they did not give him sufficient time but why would the trucking company travel 2 hrs if they knew you were not going to be there. I even have it on camera as proof that the came with the material. A1 Remodeling owned and operated by Francois Hernandez is a legit joke. He comes off as knowing his stuff but I should have known better. He doesn’t pick up his phone and you can't leave a voice mail because his inbox is always full. He lies and will steal your money. I have contacted the BBB and submitted a claim and I will not stop until my wife and I are paid back. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE COMPANY THEY ARE HORRIBLE.

ATandem Contracting, LLC
Ryan of Tandem Contracting did an excellent job. This is the second time I have used Ryan, though this job was on a much larger scale. Once again Tandem Contracting filled all the requirements one might wish for in a contractor. He laid out and reviewed the plan for construction, used quality materials, arrived on time, proceeded in a timely manner, the project was completed on time and most importantly is exactly what we needed and expected. His price was reasonable and he left the work area clean. I would highly recommend and certainly I will use Tandem again.

AHampton Bay Construction – Babylon Bay Construction
We were looking for a contractor to replace our old sliding patio door with french doors. The opening and surrounding section of wall also had to be replaced as they were rotting. We found Babylon Bay Construction on Angie's List, so we gave them a call. A.J. (the owner of the company) came and gave us a very reasonable estimate in writing. We were very impressed with his professionalism and his promise to " do the job right". We decided to hire him and his crew. Boy, are we glad we did! They showed up on time, worked very quickly and efficiently, and even finished the job before they said they would. They did a beautiful installation. They even hauled all the old materials away. We're planning to have them come back to do more work on the house. Great job, guys!
