Business Description: We have a full division of technicians who are dedicated to superior crawl space encapsulation and who professionally install dehumidifiers that will provide you with a bright, dry and usable crawl space. We know firsthand the trauma a home owner goes through when a basement is flooded or when they experience leaky walls created by heavy rain or a failed sump pump. Taking on water is even worse when it happens to a newly finished basement.

Business Description: Home inspection services available on Long Island NY, Nassau and Suffolk counties and Queens, NY. We are a detail oriented inspection company and WE WORK FOR YOU, NOT REAL ESTATE COMPANIES! If you are looking for an EXPERIENCED, LICENSED AND INSURED HOME INSPECTION COMPANY, YOU DON'T HAVE TO LOOK ANY FURTHER. We love inspecting homes. When we inspect a property for you we do not cut corners. We will walk the roof (as long as it is safe!), which most home inspectors will not even attempt to do. If there is a crawl space that is accessible, we are in it inspecting the structure for you, again many inspectors won't even enter. How can you call it a home inspection if you omit the most important areas? We are proud to go the extra mile for you. When we quote the inspection for you, we only ask for a few details: type of house, square footage, number of bathrooms, number of bedrooms, garage, basement, crawl space, deck, patio, pool, etc. This helps me calculate a proper and accurate cost for the inspection.

Recent Review: The company was very responsive and we had an appointment for an estimate with Mitch Weiss within a day. We were at the estimate-gathering phase of our project and had been told by another contractor (who had installed a replacement sump-pump in that crawl-space) that the space was in a condition that needed action soon (which they would provide for around $5000). Meeting Mitch was truly a pleasure, we discussed the crawl-space, its condition and what action we would need. He told us that he could sell us something but that he would not be able to sleep at night because our crawl space was in good condition and didn't need any waterproofing (the only thing we might want to think of at some stage might be replacing the current standard insulation mats with moisture-repelling ones). He talked us through what he saw and under which conditions action would be needed (should they ever occur). We were deeply impressed with this level of honesty. Despite not using Scaldino right now (as no action is needed), Mitch's honesty and professionalism has won us over and they will be the first ones we will call if we need a basement waterproofing job done.

Recent Review: A week after I signed the contract, the United Waterproofing crew came and removed the old pump, dug up and enlarged the pit, installed a new pump and a battery back-up pump, and redirected the discharge line. The crew was professional, courteous, and completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up the crawl space after. The pumps have been working flawlessly ever since -- a big relief given that weather has been fairly on the wet side. United Waterproofing did an outstanding job and the price was reasonable (actually a few hundred dollars cheaper than another quote from a much larger, well-known company). I would definitely hire UW again.

Recent Review: They were very professional from the moment we made the call. I found them on google and picked them because they have so many great reviews. They were always quick to respond and punctual for the estimate appointment and service day. They waterproofed all of our crawlspace (1500 sq ft) and added 2  smart pumps and 2 landscape outlets, an air dehumifier, and they covered all around. We did have to provide the electrical outlets for the 2 sump pumps through separate services with other contractors. I have not had to call them for anything yet, but based on their responsiveness since day one I trust they would respond to any issue covered by their lifetime warranty. They were in our home from around 10am to 4pm. They protected the floors for all the equipment they would need to use and the men coming in and out of the house. Victor was one of the men working and communicating with me for any questions I had and he was very detailed and conciderate to let me know everything that was happening. Jeff was the person who was handling all of our appointment dates, estimates, and phone calls and he was also great to work with even tho we did not meet him.  All the water and mud are gone,  our crawl space now looks and smells great!

Recent Review: Mark was extremely thorough! He took his time and examined the home in depth, pointing out several things that my husband and I hadn't noticed on our visits. Just as importantly, he had recommendations for how to most effectively remediate any issues that arose. He is very knowledgeable in this field and I trust that his inspection was performed as if he was inspecting his own home. I would definitely use him again, or refer him to friends/family!

Mark was very polite on the phone but seemed rushed when performing the inspection.  He did not go on the roof or enter the crawl spaces.  Overal I would give him a C+.

Tommy was great, he showed up early and did  a thorough walk through of the house with us. Tommy explained every detail to make sure we understood everything he would be putting into the report. The entire walk through took about 1.5 hours. Tommy took many pictures and assembled all his notes into a detailed report that we received 24 hours after the inspection. Tommy even crawled through a tiny crawl space opening (had to get on his hands) so that he could inspect the entire crawl space. We really like working with Tommy and would use him again for future home inspections.

It went great! He arrived on time He was very thorough. He checked everything. All the appliances were run, electric baseboards were tested, attic was checked, plumbing was checked under all sinks, crawl space was checked, etc. The report was emailed to us within 24 hrs. We also had a radon test done and we got the results for that too. He was also very informative. He walked us through the entire process.

It went great! Dev was our inspector and he showed up on schedule. He spent over 3 hours inspecting a home we are buying. He was meticulous and thorough in his inspection, even crawling under the house into 2 separate crawl spaces to examine the structure. He made some good suggestions and put our minds at ease over some issues. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a home inspection.

Joe did an outstanding job evaluating the house. He literally inspected everything from outside-in and top to bottom, including the crawl space and attic areas. The report he issued was thorough and detailed, with pictures to accompany his descriptions. He was very professional, prompt, and courteous. He takes his time doing the inspection and answered all of our questions about the house. I highly recommend Rock Solid!

I would highly recommend Frank for your Home inspection. He is very professional and thorough in his inspection. I am a first time home buyer and he explained the whole inspection process even before he began. He went up the roof, attic and the crawl space for a detailed inspection. He answered all of our questions and was very forthcoming in providing me more details and tips. He also did the Termite and Radon inspection as well. Got a detailed inspection report with all the photos the next day. During our initial inspection we did not have access to a crawl space because of a jammed window. Frank offered to come back the following week and look at it free of charge. I am very happy and pleased to have hired Frank for the home inspection. Thanks very much for all the help, Frank.

Everything was done perfectly. Mark has an outstanding attention to detail. He climbs into the creepy attics and slides into the dark crawl spaces without hesitation because he wants to look at every inch of the foundation.

CTrue View Home Inspections
Please note this review is a result of living in the home for a year and uncovering all the things that should have been caught during the inspection. Pros: Justin was professional, responsive, and friendly Cons: He missed way to many items that cost my family way too much money to rectify. 1. Electrical Box- Had to replace the entire main electrical box due to water actually coming from outside the house, down the wires and into the box. Now, you might say that the inspector might not catch it because on the day of inspection there was no rain, however, the fact that the entire bottom of the electrical box was rusted through may suggest a problem. Upon paying $3000 to a professional to fix the system, he let me know this was a longstanding problem (as demonstrated by the decay), and his one compelling comment to me was "How did this pass inspection?" Great question 2.  Crawl space- completely missed a crawl space. I can understand a little bit because it was covered by a piece of plywood, but would think the inspector would know to ask or move the wood. This crawl space has cost me about $500 to insulate and seal to stop water from pouring in 3. Chimneys - no access panels to remove ash/burning embers, nor was the furnace vented appropriately. Another $500 to get up to code and again, this different contractor asked me "how did this pass inspection?" 4. Oil tank- luckily, this was caught before settlement and the previous homeowner had to pay for the removal of an underground oil tank. Again, understanding the codes in the town would have been helpful as this discovery delayed settlement Overall, professional but the lack of knowledge on town codes and just missing some very glaring, dangerous, and costly items is why I cannot recommend True View Home Inspections
