Recent Review: The estimate I received from Perfect Painters was the most detailed I've ever seen. A long list of work items made it clear what was included (powerwashing, scraping, etc.). Ron (the owner) included an extensive list of optional add-on work items (more on that later). He also included a number of letters from satisfied customers. I had specifically asked for an estimate for prepping and painting the trim ($4600), but had expressed interest in having the body painted and some carpentry done as well. The numbers were ultimately reasonable enough that I opted for upgrading the paint to Sherwin-Williams Duration ($28/gallon; $700 total), a second coat on the trim ($1400), painting the body ($3000), replacing some siding ($2700), and painting the windows sashes for some accent color ($135). It was about two months after sending in our deposit that the crew was available to start work on the house. Before that Ron's color expert (I forget his name, unfortunately) helped us choose a combination that made sense (for you owners of Arts and Crafts homes, Bungalow Colors by Robert Schweitzer is immensely useful as well). Jacob and Russ did the majority of the painting on our project, and were accompanied by a couple carpenters that handled the siding and woodwork. Jacob was an excellent foreman with a great attention to detail and quality work. The crew arrived early every day and aside from interruption by weather, stuck to our project every working day until everything was finished. The final result was phenomenal. Calling themselves and quot;perfectand quot; painters is hyperbole, of course, but they did do a thorough job and we get a lot of compliments on the work. The quality of the work at a reasonable price (well below other estimates) means we'd happily hire them again.

Recent Review: Above and beyond best describes our experience with Sioux O'Conner and her crew. I'll break it down for you. Sioux and crew were on time very morning for the two weeks they were at our house. They brought all of their equipment ( ladders, drop clothes, paint ) ahead of time as not to waste time on their first day, They spoke with me about the best places to keep equipment, and they placed everything out of the way. Every night they tucked everything back into it's place. Sioux and crew stripped the entire house and they were methodical about making sure every last paint chip was picked up. Having small children and an old house, Sioux worked with our schedule to make sure we could be away when they were stripping the paint. She made sure all the doors and windows were closed, and they tarped and removed all evidence of the paint chips. At one point I saw the crew actually vacuuming the grass. Sioux's crew was extremely professional and friendly. They worked very hard, they were always smiling and just nice to have around. They would say hi to the kids, pet the dog, and I never saw them talking on their phones, texting, or wasting time. They took their shoes off when the used the bathroom and they did not play music like some crews do. They even worked around our kids nap schedules when they were scraping to make sure they didn't wake up our kids. Sioux's crew painted our entire 4000 sq ft house by HAND. No messy sprayers. The house was literally transformed. They worked systematically as a crew to be very efficient. They were like ants, everyone was constantly moving. The crew was very detail oriented. They removed all the window screens as not to have any splatter or drips and the paint job looked impeccable. Simply said Sioux was great to work with. The price we paid and the quote were one and the same. Sioux spoke with us each step of the way to make sure we were up to speed on the progress. There certainly are a lot of choices when it comes to painters in this area. I know a lot of people talk about having great customer service, we saw this in action when using Sioux O'Conner. We had agreed to have Sioux paint our shutters, and we all thought it would be a good idea to just paint one side, as no one would be able to see the other side. Sioux took all of the shutter to her shop, sanded and painted them, and then put them back on the house. About a week after the job was completed we started to noticed that through a few windows from the inside you could see the old color when looking out. You couldn't really see it unless you looked for it, but it was enough to catch my eye and it bothered me. I called Sioux and without hesitation or extra cost she sent the crew out and took off every shutter, painted the back side. and hung them back up. That is what I call customer service. Sioux O'Conner Painting is top notch!

Recent Review: His charges for both jobs were very reasonable compared to other estimates. He communicated well as to what they planned to do and when they planned to do it. He was always available by text/cell call, including early morning, evenings, and weekends. I was nervous about paying up front, so he worked with me on the timing of the payments. I paid for the asbestos job all in one final payment at completion. I paid for the painting job in two installments -- one after the 3rd full day of work and the final payment on completion of the work. He discussed the boom lift placement with both neighbors and got their permission first. They cleaned up completely after each day. They did extra work, such as fixing broken structural pieces very nicely, replacing a broken window, helping me find used shutters, installing screen over gable vents frames. They also gave me advice when I asked for it. They completely finished the job to my complete satisfaction and  above my expectations by the agreed-upon completion date. My house looks great!

I could not be happier with the result of this work.  It did take some time to get the crew in, but we quoted a little late in the season, which is par for the course with exterior painting.  They came in as the lowest of four quotes and there was zero disappointment in the quality of their work.  They had extraordinary attention to detail for the entire job and left without a trace.  They were very easy to work with and clearly communicated any questions they had along the way. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.
