Recent Review: This was a very small job. It took him approximately 15 mn to do.  But it required a special drill so I could not do it myself. He responded promptly to my email and was able to come to do the work the very next day.  The service was well done in all respects. He informed me up front that his minimal charge is $75 for a visit and this is what I paid.

Recent Review: Sideline construction install new glass sliding doors.  These replaced existing doors.  We have used Sideline before for all our windows and our roof.  Finally, with a budget for new sliding door, Sideline sent us to his supplier to look at doors. Once we selected the door we wanted, he had it installed within 2 weeks. Another top notch A+ job done! He removed the existing door, disposed of it, and installed a new door very quickly. We couldn't be happier.

Recent Review: The process went very well from start to finish. The sales rep was very knowledgeable, and convinced us that French doors were not the way to go for our situation. As a result, we had them install a sliding door. It's a dream to operate, especially in comparison to the old door. I am hoping that we experience much less heat loss through the new door, but that will be tested this winter.

Recent Review: We started the search for new windows and doors in early December 2012. We got estimates from 4 companies, including Classic Window and Door. On the initial visit, Dan Looney, the owner, spent several hours with us to gather information, present his products, and walk us through the process of replacing windows and doors. He was very well versed in his products. Dan showed us three levels of windows; an entry level, a mid-range level, and a high end level. All the windows are manufactured by a company called Slocomb out of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.He explained the differences between each level without attempting to steer us to one level or another. All three levels appeared to be very good quality that met the Energy Star requirements and incorporated current replacement window technologies. Dan patiently took the time to answer all the questions we asked. On any question he was not sure of the answer, he took notes and followed up after the fact with the answers. Dan also explained the install process in detail concluding that the size of the job would most likely require about 4 days to fully complete. When comparing the windows Classic offered, I asked Dan to compare them to the products offered from the other companies I had gotten estimates from. I felt Dan gave objective answers without downplaying any of the competitors products. He mainly pointed out the places where the windows were the same and where they differed. If he could not objectively compare a product, he did not attempt to criticize the competitor's product. In the end, he basically stated that all the competitor's products appeared to be of good quality and then focused on his specific products and their features. Dan measured all the windows and doors which he took with him to put together an estimate. I asked to get a separate estimate for replacing the windows at each of his product levels. We received a detailed estimate within about 5 days. The estimate was roughly in the middle of the price range of 4 estimates we received. Dan returned for another couple of hours to review the estimate with us. I was considering using the entry level windows on the back of the house and the mid-range on the front (facing west). Dan did not attempt to direct me one way or another. He said his entry level window was very good quality and would do the job although the mid-range would provide a bit better performance handling the winds and the sun coming from a westerly direction. In the end, I went with the entry level on the back and the mid-range on the front. Dan adjusted the estimates accordingly and we decided to move ahead with Classic right before Christmas. At that time, we paid a 50% deposit on the project. Dan placed the order at the beginning of January with a target of about 8 weeks for everything to arrive. I contacted Dan in mid-February at which time he said the windows were in but he was waiting on the doors and they would be another couple weeks. At the beginning of March, Dan called to say everything was in and we scheduled an install date of March 12th. Dan's installers, Craig and Al, showed up promptly on the morning of the 12th. Craig evaluated the project and decided to move ahead with doing the window installs first. I asked what he had planned for the day and he said he would have all the windows installed and the inside work done by the end of the day. He also hoped to have the patio door in that day. Craig and Al went right to work removing a window and installing the new one before they moved on to the next one. It was obvious that Craig as the main installer had a wealth of experience working with windows and doors. By late afternoon, they had all the windows in along with the patio door. They stayed until around until early evening completing all the inside insulation along with the inside window trim. Dan stopped by in the mid-afternoon to check in on the progress and to get an status from Craig. On the 13th, Craig and Al again showed up promptly in the morning to work on the front door and the garage access door. For both of these doors along with the patio door, Craig was able to remove and reinstall all the wood trim which saved me the trouble of getting new trim that I would have had to stain to match the rest of the house trim. They also had to remove and reinstall the front storm door. They were done with both doors my late afternoon. Before they left, I noticed there was an air leak coming from the bottom of the new front door. Craig investigated and made some door adjustments. He felt he needed to apply some caulk along the bottom of the threshold. Rather then use a white caulk, he said it would not look good and he would pick up some more clear caulk so everything had a nice clean finish. Again, Dan stopped by to check in and get a status on the progress. The plan was for Craig to return early on the 14th to apply the inside caulk so I could head to work and then they would move forward with all the outside trim work. Craig showed up at the promised time even though he had forgotten he was not going to be able to do the outside work that day because of a prior appointment. But he took care of the caulking as he had planned. Craig and Al returned on the 15th and completed all the outside trim work along the back of the house. Craig returned again late morning on the 16th to finish the outside trim on the front top windows and again on the 18th to finish off the front bottom window trim, completing the overall project. Installation work and clean up both inside and out was excellent. The quality of the windows and doors was very good, except for a manufacturing issue with the front door windows. Dan stopped by late in the day on the 16th to take a look at the front door. He took pictures of the defect and said he would work with the manufacturer rep to get it resolved. Dan returned on the 22nd to provide a status on the door. The manufacturer will be replacing the door window glass and the window trim in early April. Dan also walked through the product warranties, explained the available tax credit for 2013, answered some questions, and collected the final payment. Overall, we have been extremely satisfied with our experience with Classic, Dan, and his install team of Craig and Al. I would highly suggest that anyone planning to have window and/or door work done to contact Dan for an estimate as on of the potential project contractors.

We are very happy with the service.  The cedar siding tear-off was extremely clean - there were barely any small pieces of debris or nails to be found.  The siding went up nicely and the trim work is amazing.  They gave us lots of choices throughout the process, such as type of vents installed, squared vs angled garage door openings, ect.  They also allowed me to purchase my own custom shutters and charged a very small amount to put them up.  The small details like the mounting for the lights to the mounting for the house number, to the trim around the doors, the job came out beautiful.   The windows went in nicely and look great with the trim.  They applied good amount of caulking inside and outside so it seems to be sealed well.   Overall I'm very happy with the work done and with the crew, who were very curtious and helpful throughout the job.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend.

Our salesman, Eric, was very nice. While the prices with Pace were a bit more then our best estimate, we were pleased with our choice. He included a lifetime warranty on all the windows - a standard of Pace. Also, our windows are made locally, for this climate and supporting local jobs. We had multiple crews here to install the doors and windows. They worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. They drop clothed our whole house and did a nice job. My only complaint is when they had to replace some molding in our kitchen window they did not use pre-primed/painted wood, so I had to paint it myself. We also received a before and after whole house energy audit. Bill was professional and incredibly informative. He gave me many suggestions for how to improve the air quality and energy efficiency of my home. Lastly, we love our windows. They open and close nicely, the house is quieter and snug and they look great. We would recommend Pace to others.

I've had mixed experiences with them. They were very misleading on scheduling and very high pressure on the sales. I was very pleased with the installation and the follow up. I was not pleased with the scheduling and initial sales. They were pretty pricey, but the product was worth it. I would possibly use them again.

I purchased 3 hours of service by 2 people as part of an Angie's List Big Deal.  It was very difficult to pin the contractor to a date to perform the services.  Once we agreed upon a date, they arrived a little early, which was fine, sized up the jobs and accompanied me to Home Depot to purchase the materials.  The men were pleasant and efficient.  The door installation went well.  The hand rail was a little disappointing - the workmanship was mediocre. They did not seem very experienced in this type of installation.
