Recent Review: We were very pleased with Kitchen World. It was very well done. We were very pleased with the job they did. We would definitely recommend them to other people. The price you pay varies tremendously depending on the level of cabinet quality that you purchase and the type of countertop you get. We went with a middle of the road cabinet and a laminate countertop to save money. But if you wanted the top of the line in granite, you're going to pay a whole lot more, naturally.

Recent Review: Jake is the epitome of what a business owner is he is very knowledgeable and experienced in construction offers suggestions and an all around nice guy. I can't say enough about Jake. I called him on a Tuesday he came out Wednesday and completed the 5 windows, microwave shelf, installed two fan lights, removed kitchen counter tops, sink and leveled cabinets for new granite all on the Friday of the same week...awesome. We are getting the house ready to sell and these items needed to be completed and by Jake squeezing us in we are ahead of schedule by one week. The pics are before and after we couldn't be happier with everything he did. His prices are very reasonable and affordable. If you need work done Jake is your man. I'm having him look at my rental property to update the bathroom and also back splash in my kitchen. It's not every day you come across an honest hard working person who takes pride in his work. Thanks Jake!!!

Recent Review: Vincent and his son showed up on time and prepared to complete the work.  They worked quickly and efficiently.  In addition, to doing to quality work and meeting my expectations; they left the work area as it was before they arrived - clean.  My overall impression is that they take pride in their work and leave no detail out.  My only complaint is of other angie's list members.  Like many contractors who don't sub out work, understand that they book work as it comes in, so don't expect them to drop jobs just to suite your 24 hour demands.

Recent Review: I'm very pleased with the work of Scott and his team. They arrived on time, and were professional and skilled in the technique they use to refinish the cabinets. For a fraction of the cost of new cupboards, my kitchen looks completely updated. And there was no attempt by this contractor to add any extra charges at the end-- the price he quoted was the price I paid. Also, I needed a free-standing microwave cabinet to match the rest of the cupboards, and one of his team built one for me - it was delivered on-time, and sized exactly as specified.

Recent Review: Xtreme Construction transformed my kitchen. It was a tiny room, and they gave me what I wanted. They got rid of the table and gave excellent suggestions on how to make best use of the limited space. They did the work on time, and my kitchen looks wonderful.

Recent Review: The install went extremely well. My home was built in 1952, so the wiring is very outdated and in much need of updating. Even though I was not intending on rewiring my kitchen it was definitely the best decision . Rick and his helper Chris worked in the kitchen; for 3 days they updated all my old outlets, ran dedicated circuits for the refrigerator, garbage disposal, and the over the range microwave. He built a half wall to an old swing door that we never used and made a pass-through window which now made room for an extra cabinet . He even ran a water line for a new refrigerator. After all that he then installed the base and wall cabinets in preparation for a countertop install. If you are in need of a handyman with different skill sets Rick is the man to hire for the job. I will hire Rick again for other projects.

Recent Review: After talking to a few other contractors for a simple kitchen installation we decided to go with Doug Patterson. The day of the estimate was professional and then Doug actually talked to me as a person, instead of just a job. They came as quickly as they could which was less than a week because our cabinets were delivered before we hired a contractor. Doug knew this and made sure they came to start the job as quickly as possible. The employees that came to our house asked many questions and worked with our wants and needs which made us feel comfortable with their professionalism. The guys knew what they were doing and listened to what we wanted. They even found some mistakes that other contractors had made while measuring our kitchen and made sure we had everything done well and also that it looked just as well. The kitchen install went great and when we thought about hiring them for our flooring at the same time the discrepency between them and others we estimated seemed a bit high. On the last day of the job there was a big electrical issue that the guys tried to fix and called in their own electrician to come the next morning as soon as possible to fix it. Their electrician did the job professionally, in a timely manner, and actually fixed a few other problems that he found. We are considering them for the glass tile backsplash we need to finish in the kitchen after the counters are put in. Overall, Patterson General Contractors were professional, quick, and we have already started to refer them to friends.

Recent Review: Joel Sullivan, Carl, Spencer and Gabe removed a dark, beaten up 40 year old kitchen and magically replaced it with a lovely new kitchen. They started on February 17th and put the last finishing touched in on March 17th. This included the wait time for the countertops to be made and installed. They covered and protected the existing tile floor. They set up a temporary kitchen for us to use, and taped off the entire center of the house to keep the mess down. They then  removed all of the old soffit, cabinetry, countertops, and backsplash. They removed several old lighting fixtures and replaced them with 6 recessed lights, followed latter by under cabinet lighting, cabinet lighting and replacing all the electrical plugs and outlets in the kitchen. They added  new lines to stop the over usage of several older lines in the kitchen. They installed all of the new cabinets, the crown molding, the hardware, the stove, the  microwave and even left me with a temporary sink and WORKING dishwasher. They also saved my ceramic floors for me by carefully cutting out parts and replacing others that were missing with the new arrangement of appliances and cupboards. They painted not only the kitchen but the two halls connected to the kitchen for a very small upcharge. After the new countertops were in, they returned  as soon as the glue was dry to installed the faucet, garbage disposal, and the ceramic back splash. There were a few hick-ups but Joel and his crew were always more than agreeable to fixing or rearranging ANYTHING I did not feel completely satisfied with. You might be shocked when Joel tells you that there could be a 5-6 month wait till they can start your project, but I can tell you I'm glad I waited and very happy with the final product. I've had nothing but complements on the kitchen and the quality of the work in it. The only reason I listed the price as a" B" is to be honest, it wasn't the cheapest estimate I got. It wasn't the most expensive either. I must say in this case I feel we got everything we paid for and then some. What's the old saying---you get what you pay for!!!!!

DARTISAN KITCHENS & BATHS
We had a total kitchen remodel with a wall torn down. The contractor was alright with the gutting but any finished work was not done well. Every worker was fired - one by one, since the start of the job. He had his workers doing the finishing touches that were not necessarily good. Painting is sloppy, tile grouting was done badly, some of the carpentry work was shoddy.   There were times when because the job wasn't done well, Joe had to re-do things. For example the window trim painting was so bad that it had to be re-sanded and re-painted. Unfortunately while re-painting, drops of paint were all over the tile and grout on the new tiled floor. Some of the things that were done badly were not corrected and we had to hire people to do them, even thought it was a 50K+ kitchen remodel.   Artisan Kitchen:  Once Brian did the floor plan, it was difficult to get things accomplished.  I asked for original receipts of all appliances because warranties need them to honor the warranties. As often as I requested them, I was ignored until months later.   I asked for information about getting a warranty for the microwave, even though he promised, I never got that. The countertop measuring appointment was not ordered (Joe thought Brian did it - Brian though Joe did it). I am very unhappy with this job and wish I would have checked with Angie's List before going to Artisan Kitchen and having homeimprovementbyjoe as my 'contractor' The job that started November 4th 2014, is still not finished as the out side (from the new window) work is still not primed and painted. The two new doors that were ordered (as the are warped) are still not installed.

We were finally re-doing our kitchen and bathroom which we were very excited about. However, this experience was far from pleasant. Before the granite countertops could be installed, the sinks had to be removed. He uninstalled the sinks for both the kitch and the bathrooms. The very next day our ceiling was leaking through our kitchen (our upstairs bathroom is right above the kitchen) I called him and he sent someone to fix the problem the next day. However, it left a stain on our kitchen ceiling which he said he would fix- never did and the stain is STILL  on our kitchen ceiling. He also installed wooden corbels and said he would finish them at a later date but did not finish staining them or properly installing them (they are not properly installed on the island).  A few weeks after installing the countertops he installed the backsplash and said he would come back in a couple days to finish the rest of his work. He never did. I called him multiple times and he never called back or answered. I couldn't even leave a voicemail because his voicemail box was full!  We also had to remove our cupboard above our stove to install a microwave. We also had to install lighting fixtures in the kitchen that were ordered. We also had to fix our backdoor. We also had to paint our bathrooms. Mr. Vincent knew about all of these projects when we first met with him.  Very unprofessional to leave a job unfinished and not respond to your customers. If he was "too busy" to finish his work he should have at least informed us and finished what he started- the wooden corbels.  Not to mention the work he did do for us, we experienced similar situations where he would not answer his phone for weeks at a time and not let us know when he was returning.
