The owner was extremely personable and was on the job site every day to go over what the plan for the day was. The workers, Eric and Colby, were great! They worked extremely hard each day and made sure I was ok with all the progress made. They cleaned up theirs mess every day and even vacuumed my stairs every day!! Recent Review: Erich totally gutted my small master bathroom; he had laid down paper walkways to prevent dirt and dust settling on the carpets; he removed the old wall material, floor, etc. into his truck/trailer and hauled it off to the landfill. He replaced old electirc wiring and moved light and heat switches for the ceiling light, heater and exhaust system and for the overhead light in the shower. He laid lovely tile on the floor after repairing and replacing the subflooring; after much plumbinh work, he installed a new water-saving commode, a new vanity, and totally redid the shower, whicht is tiled in a lovely design and has something unique: a ledge across the inside wall to hold shampoo, bath gel, etc,, thus eliminating the "over the shower head" carrier. Everyone who has seen it LOVES it! He installed a very practical pocket door to allow more room and left my closet with enough room for everything that had been in it before they needed to take space away for the door. As a finish, he painted the bathroom, as well as the bedroom wall with the closet, a lovely complementary color which reflects a muted color of the tile. This professional performed magic in both bathrooms and I'm thrilled with the results!

Recent Review: F.A.S.T. Property Services did a complete master bath remodeling project for us. At our first interview, Matthew Smith fully explained everything to us using terms we could easily understand. We asked Matthew many questions which he patiently and pleasantly answered. He even gave us helpful suggestions as to how the project could be improved-things we never even considered. This gave us confidence that Matthew was an experienced contractor who had done many projects like ours enough times to foresee and prevent the usual problems that customers can run into. As promised, he got back to us promptly with a quote. He was willing to work with us as to a starting date that was mutually agreeable. He told us up front what his payment terms were which we found to be reasonable. Matthew and employee Stephen started the project on time. Ever respectful for our home, they set up tarps every A.M. and kept dust to a minimum. They cleaned up every day, removing the tarps before they left. During the project, they were open to any questions we had, and they patiently answered all our questions to our satisfaction. As Matthew Smith said to us countless times, “We want you to be happy with the results.” One of our concerns was the removal of our Jacuzzi tub. Some contractors that we interviewed told us that our Jacuzzi had to be cut up and removed in pieces, creating extra dust, increased costs, and possibly increasing the risk of damages to our home. Matthew and Stephen removed the Jacuzzi in one piece without any damage or inconvenience to us. The walk-in shower that they installed to replace the Jacuzzi tub came out just as we were told. Matthew Smith’s tile work was phenomenal. We told him his tile work was artistic! You could tell he took the time to make everything just perfect, a sign of a quality contractor. Matthew and Stephen kept us informed every step of the way and we felt like this was a partnership. On a scale of 1-10, we would give them a 12! We were very pleased with the results and we would not hesitate to hire Matthew and Stephen for future projects. They both were honest and courteous, pleasant, careful, respectful and did an incredible job. What more could you ask for in a contractor?

Review for Jamesville Master Bathroom Remodeling

CL Raymond Construction DBA
Les and his crew of two employees always showed up when they indicated and completed the job at the agreed upon price.  The installation of the marble flooring and inset ceiling were beautifully done.  The tiling in the shower was also beautifully done but the floor pooled water to the front corner.  Upon notification Les was very prompt to come back and repair the issue; however we still have a small amount of water that pools and have to use our foot or squeegie to get down the drain.  He also installed a clawfoot tub which is very nice and required quite a bit of extra work.  The double sink is installed squarely however it is not level and if water splashes on the counter it runs to the back corner.  They installed the closet shelving and it came out beautifully but last week we had to take it down and reinforce it because one side wasn't attached to anything.  We had the same issue with our towel bar which pulled off of the wall two weeks after they finished.  Overall they did a beautiful job but tended to short cut the finishing details like using quality trim, filling nail holes, correctly securing things and other fine tuning details. Our main issue was that the ceiling below ended up having leaks.  The first time Les was very responsive and came back and tore out the ceiling and traced the leak to what he believed was a sodder issue in the old piping.  He repaired the ceiling but again we had to hire a separate contractor to come back and fix the sheet rock, molding and finishing details.   The reason for this review is that yesterday we had another leak in the same ceiling below the bathroom and Les indicated that it wasn't his fault when I contacted him.  When we cut out the sheet rock (again) we found the leak where he put the line for the bathtub behind the shower.  Cheap connectors and cut off valves were used and they were leaking down to the ceiling below.  We cut them out and replaced them with soddered joints and there hasn't been any leak since last night.  I am unsure if the other connectors that he did will result in the same issue and we are considering replacing them all to avoid this issue again. Overall his team is very talented and does beautiful work but rush/shortcut on some details that create the tone of the entire experience.  If he had done the entire job at the same quality of the floor tile there probably wouldn't have been the issue with the shower not draining, handle and shelving coming away from the wall, sheet rock edges needing to be repaired, nail holes filled and this last incident of the ceiling leaking from the bathroom above.  For the price savings we may have been better off going with another vendor to have the piece of mind/quality of finishing work.  Otherwise his price is great and he's a pleasure to work with.

ANick's Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeling
Nick and his team did a fantastic job in remodeling two bathrooms. For the master bathroom we replace an old Jacuzzi tub with a new soaking tub. The shower area was completely rebuilt with new tiles and thermostatic shower system. New floor, vanity counter-top and plumbing were installed. The guest bathroom was also rebuilt completely that included floor, shower, vanity counter-top, plumbing and lighting. The entire project was completed in 10 days, exactly as what Nick estimated. Nick is very pleasant to work with and gives excellent suggestion. He is also flexible in accommodating changes encountered during the project. We are very happy with the renovation experience and quality of the work was truly first-class. Highlights of the services: * high quality tiles work * attention to details * always show up in time * always clean up at the end of each day * you work directly with the material suppliers to pick up what you like, with Nick's contractor discount Not surprisingly Nick is very busy so you have to wait quite a while before your project can start. It was well worth the wait in our case. Thank you Nick for a job well-done!

Victor completed my job in February, 2014 as promised -- and, I must say that I am 100% satisfied with his work. Victor is a talented, dedicated craftsman -- who pays attention to detail -- and knows how to solve the many problems that are confronted while making bathroom renovations. He takes his time -- and does high quality work -- using high quality materials -- and, he does this all at a competitive price. If you are considering having any bathroom renovations done at your house -- then you owe it to yourself to at least contact Victor -- and give him an opportunity to bid on your job. I honestly believe that he will impress you as much as he impressed me.

We needed to replace the sub-floor, flooring, tub, and tub surround in our only full bathroom.  Along with that I made some other updates to the vanity & cabinets.  John and his crew successfully finished the job within the week time frame he originally promised.  He was very easy to stay in contact with for any updates or changes from the original estimate through the completion of the job.  John was very accommodating with any last minute changes I requested and was more than happy to make any adjustments.  He answered any questions I had about materials or the process honestly.  They were all respectful of my home, and the fact that they had to work around 2 beagles and occasionally our 1 year old - climbing over multiple baby gates as necessary!  Living through any renovation is tough, especially when it's your only full bath out of service, but John & his crew made it easy for our family.  Thank you!

AHaines and Haines Inc.
After much research online and with Angie's List, I had three different contractors come to have a look at our bathroom project and provide a quote.  I am a pretty avid DIY, and have my share of experience with plumbing, electrical and the like.  I renovated another bathroom in my home a few years ago myself but simply didn't have the time to do it again and wished to hire it out.  It's fair to say that I have pretty high standards and expect the highest level of professionalism from whom I work with. I was immediately impressed with Jeff and Tom's attitude, professionalism and honesty upon our first meeting.  They made several recommendations and was sure to respect our ideas for the project.  They provided a competitive quote and worked with me to schedule the job at a time that worked for both of us. Throughout the course of the project, Jeff was in touch about decisions that needed to be made, and checked in regularly with updates.  He was always responsive to texts and calls and made sure we were happy every step of the way. Part of the reason I hired Haines and Haines is that I trusted them from the beginning, and they are honorable folks.  I never was concerned giving them a key to my house and provided full access to our home for their team for about 5 weeks while they worked.  I have two friendly but somewhat annoying dogs and the team worked around them with no issue.   Regarding quality of work; top notch.  The job was a total gut and rebuild, and included replacing a cast iron tub/shower with a beautiful custom tile walk-in.  All the little details were attended to, from finding the right shallow box to put a switch where I wanted it in my older home with weird walls, to re-routing drain plumbing to allow for maximum use of space in the basement instead of taking the easier, more direct route. Haines and Haines did a great job with my project, and I would recommend them without reservation.  Search no further if you are looking for an honest, thorough and quality business to handle your project.

Instead of a general contractor with specialist subs, I essentially had one jack of all trades, so everything was done just okay, not great. wish i had had a tile guy to do the tile work so the joints would have been smaller and the tile cuts neater. cost me extra in marble tile for the errors. wish i had had a plumber to do the plumbing, sinks would drain faster and the open area under the sinks would have uniform height for storing baskets. lots promised which took a lot of effort to get delivered. Had to have the floor reset, 2 years later (no fault of this contractor). took effort to get that organized, but this contractor handled all the costs. again one guy, not a tiler. tiles uneven in spots, grout really uneven, toilet nicked in the process and eventually had to be reset due to smelly bathroom syndrome and th plumbing under sinks kinked in resetting vanity,. I paid a plumber to come in and fix last two items, cuz somethings are just not worth it. overall, repair okay, but not great.

If you are thinking of a total master bathroom remodel, I highly recommend Doug from Artisan Renovations. He has an excellent work ethic and does quality work. We had our bath completely gutted and moved existing tub, toilet and vanity. No problem! When removing tile floor, several inches of concrete were found. No problem! He responded to every challenge with a can do attitude. Just about everything in the room is new. Upon seeing our bathroom, friends asked for his card. I would trust him with any remodel. He took pictures of completed project. If they aren’t on his website, ask to see them. Last, but not least, our dog loved him.
